Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of parents of students in sending their children to the Darul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School. And to describe the level of motivation of parents in sending their children to the Darul Muta'allimin Tanah Merah Islamic Boarding School after the death of Abuya Syekh H. Bahauddin Tawar. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1) The role of parents in sending their children to the Darul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School is divided into 3 roles, namely Providing Support, Providing Motivation and Supervising. 2) The level of parents' motivation was very high in sending their children to the Darul Muta'allimin Tanah Merah Islamic Boarding School after the death of the late Alm. Abuya H. Bahauddin Tawar. This can be seen from the increasing number of students every year. In the 2022/2023 academic year, the total number of students at the Darul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School was recorded at 1,414 students.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in improving the learning outcomes of Hajj and Umrah materials in class VI students of SD IT Sairussalam. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. The research participants involved 30 grade VI students who were studying hajj and umrah material. Research data was collected through class observations, interviews with teachers, and documentation of student learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the application of the CTL model effectively improves the learning outcomes of Hajj and Umrah materials in class VI students. In applying the CTL model, the teacher uses a contextual approach that pays attention to the real-life context of students in presenting hajj and umroh material. Teachers also integrate various relevant learning resources and involve students in interactive and collaborative learning activities. In addition, the teacher provides regular feedback to students to help them improve their understanding and skills in hajj and umrah material.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Know the concept of fostering the character of tolerance for students of SMP N 1 Sultan Daulat, Subulussalam City. 2) Knowing the implementation of tolerance character building for students of SMP N 1 Sultan Daulat, Subulussalam City. 3) Find out the follow-up of tolerance development for students of SMP N 1 Sultan Daulat, Subulussalam City. In this study, researchers used a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques used are: Observation, Interview, Study documentation, Focus groups, Participation. The results of this study are: The results of this conclusion are: 1) The concept of fostering the character of tolerance which is applied in SMP Negeri 1 Sultan Daulat, includes: Values Education, Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Project-Based Learning joint problem groups, Simulations and Games Roles between students, Community Service Program, Development of Social Awareness, Collaborative Learning by Encouraging students to work together among students in groups, Excellence-Based Learning. 2) The application of tolerance character development for SMP N 1 Sultan Daulat students is not an obstacle in the application of the values of religious education. Teachers have a high awareness to respect students' religious differences and try to understand their needs in learning. Teachers also strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of their religion or background. 3) Follow-up to fostering the character of tolerance for students of Sultan Daulat 1 Public Middle School can be carried out through several steps and activities, including: Implementation of Tolerance Values in the Curriculum, Formation of Tolerance Committees, Teacher Training Providing training and coaching to teachers, Extracurricular Activities and Projects Tolerance, Conducting outreach and campaigns in the school environment, Leadership Development, Conducting periodic evaluations of the results and impacts of tolerance character building carried out.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to review: (1) The existence carried out by Dayah with the local community in the Aceh Singkil area; (2) Dayah's efforts in improving morals towards the community. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documents. Data analysis techniques use: data reduction, data display, and conclusions or verification. The findings of this study are as follows: First, Dayah Darul Muta'allimin as a non-formal religious education institution has a contribution as a forum for human resource development in the religious field. Second, Dayah Darul Muta'allimin Tanah Merah's efforts in improving the morals of the Aceh Singkil community, through various activities such as holding lectures, intensive Islamic studies every month, holding regular recitation programs once a week twice, providing opportunities to study and recite the Koran at dayah, providing guidance in reading and writing the Koran to the community. Third, the supporting factors in the implementation of educational programs are: the influence of the Founder, the existence of social interaction and good cooperation between the dayah and the community and alumni, the existence of learning places and teaching staff, the realization of the people's economy. While the inhibiting factors in the implementation of local community religious education programs, namely: time that clashes with other activities, busyness during the day with their work, and lack of participation from the youth.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in learning the Qur'an in public elementary schools in Subulussalam City. This study involved PAI teachers as participants and elementary school students as research subjects. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. This study involved data collection through classroom observation, interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers, and analysis of documents related to learning the Qur'an. The data collected was then analyzed using an inductive approach, by identifying the learning strategies used by PAI teachers and exploring their effectiveness in facilitating students' understanding and appreciation of the Qur'an. The results of the study show that there are various strategies used by PAI teachers in learning the Qur'an at SD Negeri Sekota Subulussalam. These strategies include using a variety of teaching materials, using interesting learning media, using information technology, using interactive discussion and question-and-answer methods, and giving assignments and projects related to the Qur'an. These strategies aim to facilitate students' understanding, appreciation, and practical application of the teachings of the Qur'an. Nevertheless, this study also identified several obstacles faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in implementing Al-Qur'an learning strategies. These obstacles include limited time for learning, limited quality learning resources, and challenges in motivating students to study the Qur'an seriously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Da'i in fostering Community Morals in Danau Paris, Aceh Singkil District. To what extent is the role of the da'i, what are the beliefs of the minority Muslim community, what are the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by the preacher at the research location. The method used in this research is qualitative. This method is carried out in relation to existing phenomena in the field by collecting data, especially from research informants. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation, the research subject was the role of the preacher in Danau Paris District, Aceh Singkil Regency. The results showed that the role of the preacher used was to invite and persuade the community to do good by filling in recitations, sermons Friday, educating children by reading Al-Qur’an, delivering religious lectures based on the Al-Qur’an and Hadits, which is a foundation from Allah SWT. The results achieved by the da'i in Danau Paris District in improving and fostering community morals have progressed and given drastic changes so that the da'i is declared successful in achieving da'wah by using this role.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the demonstration model in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) with a focus on Fardhu Kifayah material and its impact on improving student learning outcomes in class XI Science at SMAS Plus Muhammadiyah in Subulussalam. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three cycles. The research data were obtained through observation, written tests, and document analysis. The demonstration model is applied in each cycle with structured steps and actively involves students in the practice of Fardhu Kifayah. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the demonstration model. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the demonstration model in PAI learning Fardhu Kifayah material can provide positive benefits in improving student learning outcomes. This model allows students to see and experience Fardhu Kifayah's practice firsthand, which helps increase students' understanding, skills, and motivation in carrying out the ritual.

Abstract

This article aims to 1) find out what parenting patterns are applied in the family of converts in fostering the practice of worship in children at the Mualaf Center Foundation, Subulussalam City. 2) what are the obstacles of the converts family in fostering children's worship practices at the Mualaf Center Foundation in Subulussalam City This research uses field research with a qualitative approach, the instruments used are interviews and documentation The Mualaf Foundation of the Mualaf Center of Subulussalam City has conducted routine studies in fortifying Aqidah and deepening religious knowledge every two times a week, In this process, parents have done their best to teach their children to provide religious understanding, some teach their own children and some give it to the Koran teacher/ustadpola parenting of converts in increasing understanding of the values of worship at the Mualaf Center Foundation in Subulussalam City in the families of converts is different, some are successful and some are not successful. The obstacle that muallaf families face is the lack of knowledge about Islamic teachings so that it is difficult to apply parenting patterns for children to understand the values of worship according to Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the contribution of the values of Tariqat Naqshabandiyah in fostering the morals of students at the Darul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School, Aceh Singkil District. To describe the problem in depth and thoroughly, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method, then the data was described, analyzed and discussed to answer the problem. From the results of the study it was found that students and congregations from the community who had attended khalwat suluk argued that practicing the Naqsayabandiyah Order could change their behavior in a better direction and welcomed the khalwat suluk worship held at the Darul Muta'allimin Islamic Boarding School in Aceh Singkil, where the goal is to get closer to Allah, is good and does not interfere, because the social relations of the khalwat congregation with the community are maintained, because the purpose of suluk activities in the Naqsyabandiyah Tariqat is noble to get the pleasure of Allah swt. so the benefits are peace of mind, always remembering Allah's commands and all His prohibitions, so that students and residents consider this activity very positive, because all things that have a good purpose to get closer to Allah will get good results too.
