Abstract

A yarn company strives to produce good and quality products, but the production process that is carried out by each person will produce products targeted at a target that has been set at 5%. This study uses the Six Sigma method but only until the improvement stage. The research is to determine the DPMO value and sigma level in the spinning production process, to know what factors cause defects and new parameters to reduce the defect. Based on the results of the study that the DPMO on the type of CD thread in the spinning section is 17,130 and the sigma level is 3,6. The level of sigma that has dominated the Indonesian industry average, but has a defect of 8.7%, the target set at 5%. Damaged and dirty apron, clogged trumpet, and leaky hose are factors that plan defects. Furthermore, with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), the highest value of Risk Priority Number (RPN) in tangled defects is that the apron is damaged (140) and clogged trumpet (120), while the highest RPN value is gross dirty, i.e., dirty apron (150) and hose leaking lubricant (120).

Abstract

Catfish (Clarias sp.) is a type of consumption fish have promising prospects because it has a high enough degree of market uptake. The high market demand which motivated farmers to develop farming aquaponics technologies. Aquaponics, in principle, in addition to conserve land and water use also increases business efficiency through the utilization of nutrients from food remains and fish for plant metabolism. Fish farming with high stocking density causes a decrease in water quality due to the accumulation of organic matter buildup of organic materials causing toxins in the water because there is ammonia (NH3) and nitrite (N02) on the water. The threshold for catfish ammonia content is <0.8 mg /L. Alternative to overcome the problem of water quality in aquaculture is the addition of probiotic. Probiotic contain several types of microorganisms that can help the process of decomposition of ammonia as a bioremediation agent for water quality control. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of different probiotics in the aquaponics system to water quality. The method that used in this research is experimental with completely randomized design (four  treat and five repeated) are P0 (control), P1 (probiotic A), P2 (probiotic B) and P3 (probiotic C). Analysis of data processed using Analysis of Variance. If there are significant differences then continued Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the giving of probiotics in the aquaponic system is significantly different (p<0.05).The final conclusion is that the addition of probiotic in the aquaponic system affect the water quality. Based on the results of statistical analysis showed that the levels of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate was lowest for the treatment of P2 is 0.0204 mg /L, 0.012 mg /L and 2.731 mg /L. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate is highest at P0 treatment (control) is 0.273 mg /L, 0.019 mg /L, 4.218 mg /L. Keywords : Aquaponic, Catfish, Probiotic, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Clarias sp.

Abstract

Before Islam was introduced into Aceh, many people there still believed in animism or dynamism or Hinduism or Bhudhism. Some parts of those beliefs still affect the local Acehnese cultures even after most of the people have become Muslim. This study describes the ritual of Khanduri Blang, as an acculturation of the people from Reubee village and surrounding villages in Pidie District between their previous cultures with their new Islamic culture: The study also looks at the reasons why the people from Reubee still perform these rituals in recent times. A religious anthropological approach was used to get plenary data about the subject. The data was collected using observations, interviews, and study of related literature. The results showed that the people living in that area performed the rituals as they believed that they would prevent dangers and harm from ghosts and spirits that live around their rice fields. Even though the people have been acculturated to Islam they still perform these ceremonies since they have been handed down as part of their culture and they still do not have sufficient comprehension of the tenets of Islam. Furthermore, the involvement of their local religious figures in the ceremonies convinces the people that these rituals do not contradict their Islamic beliefs. Then too, the use of local traditions as a medium for introducing Islam brought the understanding that such rituals were part of the traditions of Islam.

Abstract

This research explores the relations between the so-called normative Islam-as laid down in the canonical texts of the Qur’ān and hadīth-and the ways in which these normative ideas, perceptions and values are expressed in rituals in the society concerned. It pays particular attention to the ways in which the latter forms of ritual expression entail a culturally specific adaptation and valorization of the trans-cultural representations laid down in these Islamic text corpora and to the ways in which-according to local understanding and exegesis-these ritual actions generate a reproduction of the social relationships and their moral foundation in the society concerned. In-depth discussions had been conducted with the participants about the symbols, meanings and values, which they attach to these actions as to their effectiveness in achieving particular social, religious, political and moral aims besides a systematic survey of relevant published sources has complemented this field research. The meticulous examination of the village ritual calendar shows that three different perspectives on this social and moral order prevail: a traditional adat perspective, the historical Islamic perspective, and the modernist Islamic perspective. This attributes to Aneuk Jamee a complex dynamic socio-religious identity within the field of Indonesian cultures.

Abstract

Application of raw secondary metabolites from four entomopathogenic fungi against chilli disease caused by viruses. The purpose of this research was to investigate several kinds of raw secondary metabolits to decrease viral disease in chilli and inspect their side effect to plant growth. This research was conducted at experimental farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University from November 2018 to March 2019. The chilli seeds used for indicator plant were obtained from virus-symptomatic chilli. The raw secondary metabolites was collected from four microbial isolates used in this study, i.e. Metarhizium anisopliae, Beauveria bassiana (Papua isolate), Lecanicillium lecanii and B. bassiana Bio B10 (Jember isolate). The experiment was arranged in completely randomized design with five replications. Observation was performed on incubation period, disease intensity, AUDPC, germination percentage, plant height, number of leaves, and number of shoots. The result showed that raw secondary metabolites obtained from M. anisopliae gave the best capability to suppress disease development. Application of M. anisopliae raw secondary metabolites reduced incubation period, viral disease intensity as well as AUDPC in 34.22; 77.98 and 79.49%, respectively. The raw secondary metabolites of L. lecanii could increase percentage of germination, plant height, number of leaves, and number of shoots as 100; 38.96; 38.96 and 52.38%, respectively, compared to control.

Abstract

As a fascinating weapon, Rencong Aceh cannot be separated from the life of Acehnese people. In order to describe the morphology of which, a qualitative method was implemented to collect the data through observation, interview and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. The four types of Rencong Aceh – rencong meucugek, rencong meukuree, and rencong podoi or puntong – have the structure of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim entirely. Those also possess the letter of Ba. Every morphology form of Rencong Aceh is constant, either in the form of Bismillah, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, or Ba. Philosophically, the compilation of morphology upon the weapons cannot be disconnected from the Islamic context developed within the social and culture understanding and its practice of the Acehnese people. Every beginning of an action should be initiated with the words of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. The expression is done to get the mercy and blessing of God, particularly when the enemies attack.
