Abstract

The science learning process has changed from classroom to online education. This leads to blended learning-based learning in a relatively short amount of time today, placing many challenges and burdens on teachers. Motivation to direct the learning process is important to understand how technology can prepare teachers' abilities in the future, which is an integral part of the learning process. This study aims to measure the willingness of elementary schools in different parts of Indonesia to practice blended learning. This study is a descriptive and quantitative study. The survey was conducted although it needs improvement in mastering Technological Knowledge. So it on 64 primary school teachers with 1 to 10 years of teaching experience in 16 states of Indonesia, who are currently training in-service teachers at Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University. The survey results show that the teacher`s ability to use each component in the TPACK is generally categorized as "very good", can be concluded that the elementary school teachers are considered capable of carrying out the blended learning process. This picture can be used as a benchmark for developing the ability of teachers to improve the quality of the quality learning process and coexist with technological developments.

Abstract

The E-MagScience product based on Flip PDF Professional on the theme of Food and Healthy to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students were made to obtain data efficiently. E-MagScience has supportive rubrics such as technology directing students to experiment with food tests. The superiority of E-MagScience puts interactive quizzes so students can answer directly through the media. The research methods used Research and Development, with the research and development model Borg and Gall (1983), which is adapted to the needs and abilities of researchers with restrictions on three stages, namely: the research and data collection stages, planning and developing a preliminary form of the product. Then this study shows the results of the validity of E-MagScience based on Flip PDF Professional based on validation by material experts achieving a score of 86% in the "Very Valid" category, validation by media experts achieving a percentage value of 90% in the "Very Valid" category and validation by experts the achievement of a percentage value of 90% in the "Very Valid" category. The efficiency level of E-MagScience reached a percentage value of 89% in the "Very Efficient" type.

Abstract

The need for teachers who are proficient in communicating science face-to-face and making flexible use of various integrative media is increasing along with changes in community communication patterns. High scientific communication skills can support learning with topics closely related to the latest technology, such as biotechnology. This study aims to develop a multimedia-based biotechnology module using Canva as a learning source to increase prospective science teachers in Science Education Department in science communication skills toward Society 5.0 era. As a result, the learning resource developed as a Biotechnology module for S1 Science Education students contains integrated biotechnology content. It presents learning activity guides, quizzes, and assignments that support prospective teachers in developing science communication skills in the classroom. Validation results from material and media experts indicate that this module is valid and feasible to be applied in biotechnology learning for prospective science teachers.

Abstract

Science learning in several schools in the Serang district still rarely conducts practicum, although practicum kits are available. Therefore, it is necessary to train teachers who are members of the Science MGMP Serang District. The purpose of the activity is to improve the skills of teachers to design simple practicums and use practicum kits. Activities were carried out in the duration of 34 JP in the form of training and assignment activities. Training session 1 was conducted online with output in the form of practicum designs made by teachers, while session 2 training was carried out offline at SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas. Academic evaluation is carried out on the collected tasks and non-academic evaluation includes participants' responses to training activities. The data obtained were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the activity showed that teachers had varied teaching experiences, and the number of assignments collected was 40 practicum designs. Teachers are skilled in drafting practicum designs and using kits well. Teachers are satisfied with the training activities and hope that the activities can be carried out sustainably. After the activity, teachers are expected to be able to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained to carry out practicum activities in learning science at their respective schools

Abstract

Organic waste is waste generated from the use of organic materials in various daily lives. The absence of a disposal site and waste management system results in organic waste not being processed properly, resulting in environmental problems in the form of pollution and unpleasant odors in the area of Tenjo Ayu Village. Most household waste is organic waste, such as vegetable residue, fruit peels and yard sweepings. The service activity of the workshop on processing organic waste into eco-enzyme aims to educate the public regarding the processing of household waste into eco-enzyme as a multifunctional liquid so that waste can be reused into cleaning products and organic fertilizers that have economic value. This community service activity has succeeded in providing insight and skills to the community regarding the processing of organic waste into eco-enzymes.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan pada beberapa SMP di Cilegon adalah kemampuan literasi sains siswa tergolong rendah sesuai dengan data hasis AKM. Pengembangan media pembelajaran website berbasis literasi sains menjadi resolusi dari permasalahan pembelajaran yang dihadapi siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk berbentuk website selamatkan bumi kita berbasis literasi sains tema global warming yang valid sehingga bisa diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran kelas VII pada tingkat SMP. Penelitian dan pengembangan merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan diadaptasi dari 4-D. Model ini terdiri dari 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Tahapan yang telah dilakukan sampai tahap pengembangan berupa validasi ahli. Hasil dari validasi ahli materi mendapat presentase senilai 95.45% termasuk pada kriteria “sangat valid”, presentase hasil validasi ahli media senilai 88.75% termasuk pada kriteria “sangat valid”, dan validasi praktisi mendapatkan presentase nilai 90.79% masuk pada kriteria “sangat valid”. Nilai presentase rata-rata dari para ahli didapatkan perhitungan senilai 91.66% masuk pada kriteria “sangat valid” sehingga media pembelajaran website berbasis literasi sains dapat digunakan oleh siswa maupun guru pada tingkat SMP sebagai media pembelajaran pendukung pada tema global warming. Perlu dilakukan uji coba lebih lanjut terkait media pembelajaran website berbasis literasi sains.

Abstract

The science learning process in the 21st century era, especially at the tertiary level requires prospective science teachers to have science communication skills. Science communication skills are part of the science process skills that direct students to be able to express ideas, knowledge which contains data and facts that can be expressed in oral or written form. Science communication skills are considered as a source for developing and creating knowledge in the science learning process which are needed to act as a link so that students can share their experiences and understanding. Apart from that, the lack of availability of teaching materials in biotechnology lectures is a concern in this research. This research aims to describe student responses toward the science communication-based interactive e-module that has been developed and implemented in the Biotechnology course. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method. The samples involved in the research were 37 students from the sixth semester of the Science Education Study Program, class B, where practical tests were carried out on a limited scale. The research sample was taken using random sampling. The instrument used was a student response questionnaire sheet consisting of 40 statements. The data obtained includes practical results through student responses toward the e-module being developed. Student response questionnaires were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive analysis. The research results showed that student responses were very positive from all respondents with an overall average percentage reaching 82%. It can be concluded that the science communication-based interactive e-modules can be well received by science students as users.

Abstract

Learning activities in schools still lack teachers in using learning media, students still like to play during learning, and teachers still use conventional methods in explaining material, which can lead to a lack of understanding of concepts in students. Based on these problems, researchers developed creative and interesting media, as well as game-based media in the form of monopoly media. Monopoly media is a game-based educational media to help students grow their understanding of concepts which are structured based on indicators of concept understanding. The aim of this research is to determine the design and describe the level of efficiency of monopoly media on the theme of my food being developed. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) according to Thiagarajan (1974) which is limited to three stages, namely (1) Define, (2) Design, and (3) Develop. The results of the research are the design of the monopoly board media in the form of questions and information contained on the board and cards containing questions and information about my food which are arranged according to indicators of concept understanding. The monopoly media validation results from the validator were obtained at 92.11% in the "Very Valid" category. Meanwhile, the level of efficiency of monopoly media on the theme of my food for class VIII at SMP Cilegon obtained a result of 86.49% in the "Very Good" category so that media on monopoly can help students in growing their understanding of concepts in learning the theme of my food. With this media, it is hoped that it can help students grow their understanding of concepts on the theme of my food.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara penelitian pada dua SMP di Kota Serang, dilihat dari kegiatan belajar dan mengajar yang hanya berfokus menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga sekolah belum dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan maksimal. Tujuan melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi E-LKPD berbasis PBL tema tekanan zat dan penerapannya untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII. Studi ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model penelitian yang telah dimodifikasi dari milik Sugiyono. Modifikasi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peneliti. Adapun modifikasi yang dilakukan adalah pada tahapan pengembangan yakni dibatasi hanya sampai tahap uji coba terbatas. Instrument dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar angket validasi dan lembar angket respon siswa yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli instrument. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu, validasi ahli materi, media dan guru IPA, secara keseluruhan mendapatkan hasil rata-rata sebesar 87,32% termasuk kategori “Sangat Valid”. Tingkat efisiensi produk E-LKPD memperoleh persentase 81,54% termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik”, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan bahwa media pembelajaran E-LKPD berbasis PBL tema tekanan zat dan penerapannya sangat efisien dan layak untuk digunakan oleh siswa di sekolah dalam proses pembelajaran untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah anorganik dan kemandirian pangan merupakan masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat di Desa Kemanisan, Kec. Tirtayasa, Banten. Sampah anorganik yang tertimbun, tidak dapat diolah ataupun dihancurkan secara alami dan mengakibatkan pencemaran tanah dan air di wilayah desa tersebut. Upaya yang umum dilakukan warga desa adalah dengan membakar sampah. Kegiatan ini berbahaya karena mengakibatkan pencemaran dari tanah berpindah ke udara. Di sisi lain, masyarakat sedang berusaha meningkatkan kemandirian pangan dengan melakukan budidaya di lahan pekarangan, namun masih terkendala dengan keterbatasan lahan dan kualitas tanah yang kurang baik untuk pertanian. Untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut, dilakukan sosialisasi pemanfaatan barang bekas untuk budidaya tanaman hidroponik bagi perangkat desa, kelompok tani, ibu PKK dan pemuda Karang Taruna. Pemanfaatan barang bekas dapat membantu penanggulangan sampah anorganik berupa barang bekas dengan cara digunakan kembali sebagai instalasi hidroponik berbiaya rendah. Untuk melaksanakan kegiatan ini, dilakukan koordinasi dengan mitra yang merupakan praktisi budidaya hidroponik yang berpengalaman dalam melakukan budidaya sayuran dengan sistem hidroponik sederhana. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan dengan (1) memberikan informasi mengenai hidroponik dan komponennya; (2) komoditas yang dapat dikembangkan dengan metode hidroponik; dan (3) demonstrasi dan lokakarya pembuatan instalasi hidroponik model rakit apung dan DFT dengan memanfaatkan barang bekas. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut adalah masyarakat desa yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru mengenai hidroponik dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memecahkan masalah yang hadir di desa mereka.
