Abstract

This research was conducted to study the effect of phosphate fertilizer and organic matter in a potential acid sulphate to P-soil available and production of rica (Oryza sativa L.) at Karang Anyar Village, Secanggang Districk. This  research was designed by factorial randomized design with 2 factor and 3 replication . Sample soils were taken with 3 replice randomly at 0-20 cm depth. The first factor is dose phosphate fertilizer are control (P0), 0.64 g (P1), 1.28 g (P2), 1.92 g (P3) and dose of organic matter are control (P0), blotong 40 g (B1), manure 40 g (P2), blotong and manure mixed (P3). The results of this study showed that of natural phosphate in acid sulphate soils can increase the P-available soil at a dose of 1.28 g / 8 kg dose equivalent 1 ton/ha , the highest weight of 1000 grains at a dose of 1.92 g / 8 kg dose equivalent 1.5 ton/ha and the lowest percentage of grain at a dose of 1.92 g / 8 kg . Giving filter cake showed the highest P-available soil. Organic matter showed the highest 1000 grain weight in a mixture of filter cake and manure at a dose of 10 tons / ha. The percentage of low grain in manure 10 tons / ha. Interaction between phosphate at a dose of 1.28 g / 8 kg dose  equivalent 1 ton/ha with a mixture of manure and filter cake, showed the highest P-available soil. Interaction between phosphate at a dose of 1.92 g / 8 kg dose equivalent 1.5 ton/ha with a mixture of filter cake and manure showed the lowest percentage of empty grains. Abstract

Penelitian yang menguji dua metode pengukuran Aldd, yaitu dengan ekstraktan KCl dan LaCl3 untuk menetapkan kebutuhan kapur di tanah Ultisol. Hasil pengukuran diterapkan pada tanah di rumah kasa menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial, 7 perlakuan dosis kapur CaCO3 yaitu 0.0 xAldd; 1.0xAldd-KCl; 1.5xAldd-KCl; 2.0xAldd-KCl; 1.0xAldd-LaCl3; 1.5xAldd-LaCl3; 2.0xAldd-LaCl3 dengan 4 ulangan. Kapur diinkubasi selama 14 hari dalam keadaan kapasitas lapang. Tanaman indikator kedelai ditanam hingga fase pertumbuhan vegetatif. Parameter yang diamati adalah pH H2O, pH KCl, tinggi tanaman, volume akar, berat kering tajuk, berat kering akar, dan serapan N, P, K tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dosis kapur hanya meningkatkan pH H2O dan pH KCl tanah. Kebutuhan kapur tanah Ultisol lebih tepat ditentukan menggunakan Aldd ekstrak KCl 1 N. Abstract

This study was aimed to see the effect of the application of compost and various doses of inorganic compound fertilizers to increase soil nutrients and plant growth. This research conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture USU Greenhouse and Laboratory Research and Technology USU, Medan in altitude ± 25 m above sea level in May 2015 until December 2015.This research used non factorial completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replication so that there are 18 experimental units. The composition of the treatment are: P0 = control; P1 = 100% Compound Fertilizer; P2 = Compost TKKS 600 grams; P3 = Compost TKKS 600 grams + 50% Compound Fertilizer; P4 = TKKS Compost Fertilizer 600 gram + 100%; P5 = TKKS Compost Fertilizer 600 gram + 150%. The data were processed using ANOVA and HSD test at 5%. The results showed the better influence of compost treatment in improving P-available, K-dd,root dry weight, pH, C- organic, Mg-dd, and leaf dry weight than the control treatment. The best increased nutrients and plants growth were in the compost treatment.
