Abstract

Industri pengolahan kayu didalam proses produksinya akan menghasilkan suatu buangan atau limbah berupa sisa atau abu akibat dari adanya pembakaran didalam mengurangi volume limbah yang terjadi. Akan tetapi didalam proses pembakaran akan dihasilkan sisa berupa abu. Sisa abu ini jika tidak dikelola dengan baik akan menimbulkan pencemaran pada lingkungan sekitarnya.Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan yaitu dengan memanfaatkan abu sisa pembakaran limbah kayu tersebut sebagai bahan bangunan melalui pemanfaatan sebagai bahan dalam campuran batu bata.Penelitian dilakukan dengan mencampur sisa abu tersebut dengan tanah lempung proporsi 0 %, 5 %, 10 %, 15 %, 20 % dan 25 %. Dari hasil campuran dilakukan pengujian karakteristik campuran yaitu : Kuat tekan dan Rembesan air.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : Abu sisa pembakaran limbah kayu dapat dipakai sebagai bahan dalam pembuatan batu bata, dilihat dari hasil uji karakteristik fisik campuran.

Abstract

Independently waste management is expected to be one real way to solve the garbage problem. Garbage today remains a national problem. This is due to very low public awareness of the litter problem. The starting point of good waste management and the right is originated from households, as household waste is generated every day continuously. Other garbage bins dalah market, which requires merchants keaadaran management. From the analysis of the situation which is intended to provide a picture or map of clues to the location and boundaries of science and technology For Region (IBW) and the description of the existing condition of the area relevant to the issues to be addressed. IBW region located in Tabanan regency which is one of the districts in the province of Bali in addition to seven counties and one city to another, namely Jembrana, Buleleng, Karangasem, Klungkung, Bangli, Gianyar, Badung and Denpasar. Based on the results of hearings with Tabanan District Government through the Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda), the direction of development of Tabanan is a balance between environmental sustainability efforts functions with efforts to use natural resources in order to achieve prosperity for the people of Tabanan particular. Availability of natural resources are limited and uneven in the district both quantity and quality to encourage the Government in Tabanan Kabuptaen strongly consider the use of natural resources. With waste management as a group is expected to build revenue (income generating) for the community that can indirectly improve the welfare of the community.

Abstract

The growth of population and the development of economic level in this global era indirectly have an enormous impact on the development of architecture in Bali. As a tourist destination by both domestic and foreign tourists, the architecture in Bali has grown and is difficult to control. The entry of various foreign elements will ultimately dominate the local architecture of Bali. This has begun to be seen from the emergence of various views of the building with the current architecture that combines various styles to be the center of attention. One of the locations that show it is Kuta Central Park. This study was conducted to find out how the existence of Traditional Balinese Architecture against foreign elements that tend to dominate. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis technique. This analysis will be directed to a descriptive explanation of how the shape of an architecture is located in the research location, and how it correlates with the effort to maintain the traditional Balinese architecture. The result of the research has shown that the combination of architectural style in the research location resulted in the absence of traditional characteristics that should still be displayed to provide local cultural identity. The mixing of architectural styles in the research location decreases the existence of local Balinese architectural features. The look of local architecture is no longer the main point of design emphasis on research sites. The 'contemporary' look that brings together multiple styles makes local architecture a mere complement to the necessary design.

Abstract

Countermeasures of community-based lake sediments are directed at maintaining the dynamic balance of Lake Batur, Beratan Lake, Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. Sedimentation process of this lake is triggered by the pattern of management of agricultural land on the edge of the lake is less attention to aspects of soil and water conservation. The purpose of this research is; (1) to obtain a community-based sedimentation prevention model, (2) Mapping Land management on the edge of the lake, (3) erosion control strategy at the edge of the lake. This research is field experiment and surpei research, sampling is done by purposive sampling at Batur Lake 20 samples, Beratan Lake 16 samples, Lake Buyan 16 samples and Danau Tamblingan 12 Sampel. The socio-economic support data of the community was determined by 180 respondents in cluster sampling. Interviews and questionnaires are closed questions on a conventional scale. Characteristics of the lake were analyzed descriptive statistics using SPSS analysis tool. Land mapping is done by GPS method with GIS device. Predict erosion using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) Model while for sedimentation using the Stanford Sediment model. Data analysis to find out the model of development of sedimentation rate in lake due to erosion that happened, done by non linear regreresi analysis. The results of the analysis are tested on both sides with 95% confidence level on sediment data that is modeled whether or not significant effect

Abstract

Massive urban development and space utilization will ultimately trigger environmental problems. Issues related to the matter, such as reduced amount of green areas with less-controlled waste management, are important things need to be considered. In order to manage the problem, it is important to find a solution to arise hygiene behavior, as well as preserving green areas.  Providing education for community, starting from early ages, is considered to be a valuable effort. Education can be provided by making a thematic park with 5R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Replace and Replant) principle, which can provide understanding through technology transfer model (TT) method, applying appropriate technology. In the future, the availability of thematic park will serve a novel medium for education training and community.

Abstract

Landslide disaster is one of the events that often occurs on the island of Bali, especially in Songan A and B Kintamani villages as happened on February 9, 2017 which claimed lives. One way ti characterize soil properties is to use geotechnical methods. Five slopes that have the potential for landslides in Songan A Village (dsa1, dsa2) and Songan B Village (dsb1, etc2, etc3) were characterized by physical soil properties such as cohesion, shear angle, density and slope geometry analyzed for slope stability using the Fellenius method manually. This study uses a quantitative approach, to determine the value of the factor of safety factor generated for each existing slope is 1.45, 1.35, 1.36, 1.13, 1.20 for the five slopes (FK < 1.5) if a landslide occurs, the landslide will piled up roads and houses. From the results of the characterization, mitigation is carried out in the form of slope arrangement of the Tri Datu Model in collaboration with community-based Hydroseeding 0.93 and 16.40 m3, 2.34 and 3.18 m3, 1.65 and 9.19 m3, 1.52 and 9.8 m3 all values of the factor of safety of slopes (FK > 1.5).

Abstract

Increased population, directly proportional to the increase in clean water needs. It also affects the availability of clean water both for current needs and for future time. To ensure that the availability of clean water can meet the needs of 2030, a study is needed to find out how much availability of clean water in 2030 and what needs are needed. To find out, a proper calculation method is needed. In this study, the availability of clean water in 2030 was calculated using the geometry method. Before calculating it, data on clean water availability was needed in the previous few years to find out the average growth of water availability which subsequently using geometry methods can be known to the availability of water by 2030. The results of the calculation showed that the availability of clean water in 2030 was 336.62 liters/second. Meanwhile, to calculate the need for clean water calculated using data on average clean water requirements today was then analyzed by the estimated population in 2030. The result was, the need for clean water in 2030 with the level of population at that time was 668,7756 liters/second. It can be concluded, the need for clean water in 2030 is greater than the availability of clean water. Therefore, looking for other important clean water sources is planned as early as possible so that water needs by 2030 are still fulfilled.

Abstract

Bali dengan luas wilayah yang relatif kecil memiliki produktivitas padi yang cukup tinggi terutama di daerah pedesaan. Pada sektor pertanian,pengelolaan irigasi merupakan salah satu komponen keberhasilan pertanian.Daerah Irigasi Tinjak Menjangan terletak di Kecamatan Marga Kabupaten Tabanan merupakan salah satu daerah irigasi yang termasuk bagian pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai (DAS) Tukad Sungi yang memilik luas areal rencana 436 Ha sejak tahun 1961, lalu pada tahun 2020 luas areal fungsional menjadi 405 Ha.Dari pencatatan debit tahun terakhir (2020) yaitu debit rata-rata yang masuk ke intake sebesar 770 lt/dt, dimana debit yang paling besar 863 lt/dt dan yang paling kecil 127 lt/dt. Sedangkan kebutuhan air pada sawah Daerah Irigasi Tinjak Menjangan sebesar 810 lt/dt. Analisis efisiensi jaringan irigasi dan analisis efektivitas jaringan irigasi yang dibantu dengan Microsoft Excel. Data yang diperlukan pada analisis adalah data debit bendung selama 5 tahun terakhir, data pola tanam, data klimatologi, data kondisi existing jaringan irigasi, penampang saluran dan debit saluran irigasi. Hasil analisis efisiensi saluran primer mendapatkan hasil persentase 99,083 % yang menunjukkan bahwa saluran pada daerah irigasi sangat efisien karena sudah diatas nilai standar untuk saluran primer 90%.
