Abstract

The research examines the process of improving students’ activities and students’ achievement on Economics by applying collaborated learning model between Mind Mapping and Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This study follows a classroom action research which conducted in SMAN 2 Batu in Indonesia for Tenth grade students in social studies. This research is carried out in  two cycles including four stages namely planning, observation, evaluation, and reflection.The data were gathered from several tests and direct observation. Further, the data were analyzed both qualitative and quantitative accordingly. The findings showed that the combination of mind mapping and teams games tournament (TGT) promotes better teaching and learning activities. Consequently, students are more likely understand the materials in the economic course comprehensively. Furthermore, the implementation of both learning models simultaneously affects to encourage students to be active and spirit to follow the lesson. Lastly, the amalgamation of mind mapping and teams games tournament (TGT) leads to greater students’ activities and students’ achievement.Keywords: Teams Games Tournament, Mind Mapping, Students’ Activity, Students’ Achievement

Abstract

This paper intends to describe and discuss the implementation of semester credit system-based learning in Economics subject of senior high school. This research used qualitative field research approach to identify the implementation of semester credit system-based learning in SMAN 2 Mojokerto. The data collection was obtained through interviews, field observation, and documentation. Based on the data obtained, the implementation of semester credit system-based learning has been conducted well. However, the researchers discovered that there were some obstacles such as students’ lack of motivation, enthusiasm, and responsibility. Thus, it is important for teachers and school counsellors to direct and guide students during the learning process.

Abstract

Increasing the quality of education has been a global challenge. The Indonesian government has responded this issue by reforming new curriculum that focuses on students’ activities and critical thinking ability. This study aims at investigating the implementation of synchronous learning with STEM and its impact to students’ critical thinking ability. This research adopted mixed methods, quasi-experimentally by using non-equivalent control group design research to gain a deeper understanding during experiment. The result of this work notes that synchronous learning with STEM slightly out performs the conventional learning activities and it can moderately illustrate the enhancing of students’ critical thinking skills. The introduction of STEM in social sciences, primarily in an economics course, faces some challenges and adjustments as well as its implementation using live synchronous learning This result suggests to more comprehensive planning and materials in adopting STEM in social sciences as well as an effort to increase students’ activities.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, STEM Education, Economics Students, Synchronous Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the understanding the application of financial literacy children who have parents of recycled business actors. The results of the study show that parents have an important role in teaching children about financial management early on. Understanding of the application of financial literacy can be seen from indicators of budgeting, loans, savings and investment. Classification of understanding of the application of child financial literacy is divided into three, namely, sufficient literate, less literate, and not literate.

Abstract

Consumptive behavior of Indonesian society contributes to the depreciation of the rupiah against the US dollar, especially the consumption of imported products. The amount of consumption of such imports helped push the current account deficit widened to 3 percent of GDP in the second quarter of 2018. People especially students who like to follow the trend of electronics, and import or non-import spending will tend to behave consumptive. Consumptive behavior does not occur alone, but happen because of financial literacy, modernity individuals, allowance and self-control to consume. The phenomenon occurs at the Faculty of Economics, State University of Malang shows students follow the trend of clothes, handphone with high prices. This behavior will lead to student consumptive life. This study uses a quantitative research approaches. The population of this study are 163 students of Economic Education Program, Department of Economic Development, Faculty of Economics, State University of Malang. The technique used in this research is proportional random sampling technique and obtained 116 respondents. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis using a questionnaire. The results of this research showed five results. First, financial literacy negatively affected on consumptive behavior with effective contribution by 9,22%. Second, modernity individuals positively affected on consumptive behavior with effective contribution by 8,23%. Third, allowance positively affected on consumptive behavior with effective contribution by 35,03%. Fourth, self-control negatively affected consumer behavior with effective contribution by 17,54%. Fifth, financial literacy, modernity individuals, allowance and self-control positively affected on consumptive behavior with effective contribution by 70,00%.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to describe the influence ofeconomic study result, family environment and colleague on efficiency toconsume student class X Social Science Senior High School 1 Tumpangduring 2015/2016 learning period. The research metodology used isquantitative descriptive with exsplanation format. The instrument used in thisresearch was tests and questionnaires. The number of respondents are 95students. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21 For Windows.Based on theanalysis of data obtained the following results : (1) there is influence betweeneconomic study result (X1) with efficiency to consume (Y) about 2,76%. (2)there is influence between family environment (X2) with efficiency to consume(Y) about 26,6643%. Abstract

The more rapidly technological development enables to develop an attracted learning media. SMA Negeri 1 Talun has possesed a facility supports electronic based learning media usage. But during this time, the usage of electronic media has not been implemented maximally because teacher often used media, such as module or packet book and less attracted power-point more. International trading is one of subject matters must be studied by XI IIS grade students. International trading is one of subject matters presents text more, so if it is tought by using packet book or module will make students feel bored exactly. Because of that, a media was developed to share attractive visualization in wish to be able to increase motivation for students and to make students easy in comprehending international trading subject matter.This developmental research used ADDIE model adjusted to the kind of developed product. The validation was carried out through some steps, included of media expert and subject matter expert validation, and trial step. The results of validation and trial step of experiment showed a positive response and learning media had fulfilled very valid criteria to be used in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) whether or not the influence of the amount of the allowance to the pattern of consumption of students from the Department of Economic Development, Faculty of Economics, (2) whether or not the influence of self-control on the consumption patterns of students from the Department of Economic Development, Faculty of Economics, (3) there is or whether the effect of the amount of pocket money and self-control of the consumption patterns of students from the Department of Economic Development Faculty of Economics, University of Malang. The data taken is primary data obtained through a questionnaire which was distributed by the researchers to students who then analyzed using SPSS 16 for windows. Results of the study are: (1) the effect of which is directly proportional to the amount of the allowance towards the consumption patterns of students, if the amount of pocket money students high and good management, the consumption patterns of students will be rational, but if the amount of the allowance is high and management is low, the pattern of consumption is not rational (2) high self-control, the impact on both the consumption patterns of rational consumption patterns, (3) The amount of pocket money and self-control simultaneously affect consumption patterns.

Abstract

Study abaout relocation has effect on all stakeholders (stakeholders), where the greatest feeling the effects of the relocation to the merchant. With the change to a market location Dinoyo Merjosari much effect on the economic performance of traders. This study aims to determine impact relocation of the market Dinoyo to Merjosari for behavior merchant expectly performance trade. The survey results revealed that the economic performance of traders indicated by five (5) indicators of operating hours, quality merchandise, merchandise quantity, position shanties, and the ease of reaching the location. From 5 indicators, there are only 4 indicators were changed due to market movement of the market Dinoyo Merjosari is operating hours, quantity, position place to sell in market and reaching the location. The amendment then became the main cause of deterioration due to the economic capacity of traders drive up the cost and decrease turnover.Keywords: Impact Movement Location, Merchant Behavior
