Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in building an adaptive society in the 21st-century globalization era. The learning paradigm has shifted from a teacher-centered to a student-centered approach, emphasizing critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative skills development. Technological limitations hinder the attainment of these skills, hence it is imperative for educators to leverage technology to foster innovative and engaging learning environments. This study aims to enhance the effectiveness of education at SMK Negeri 1 Cileungsi through the implementation of digital modules, preparing students for 21st-century education. Proposed methods include: 1) Socialization of 21st-century learning approaches to educators and students; 2) Intensive training in digital module usage; and 3) Provision and training on audio-visual learning material production tools as engaging and interactive learning resources. The outcomes of this community engagement initiative encompass improved understanding of 21st-century learning concepts among educators, staff, and students. Teachers will be able to integrate digital modules into the curriculum, while students will actively engage with captivating audio-visual materials. Regular evaluations will ensure implementation effectiveness and measure academic progress and students' skills in tackling modern learning challenges. Additionally, feedback from school representatives suggests extending these activities to other departments beyond Computer Networking Engineering. In conclusion, the adoption of digital modules and audio-visual materials enhances learning enthusiasm by providing adaptive learning tailored to student needs. Recommendations for enhancing school technology infrastructure and sustainably evaluating programs aim to enrich future learning experiences.

Abstract

ABSTRACTGMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) is a fast, versatile welding technique that can be used in various positions, but it often results porosity in welded joints. This research aims to analysis of the welded joints of STKM13B pipe and SPD 440 plate using tensile and micro testing, using welding a current of 18 and varying voltages of 110, 130, and 150. The results is the shape of the welded joint of the plate and pipe is perfectly connected, the tensile test results showed that the ultimate strength values for specimen 1, 2, 3 (A110/V18, A130/V18, A150/V18) were (18,959, 27,886, 40,005 N) respectively. The highest ultimate strength values were obtained from the specimens (A150/V18) while the lowest ultimate strength value was obtained from specimen (A110/V18). The use of welding current strongly correlates with ultimate strength value and photomacro results, with higher currents resulting in higher density levels, minimizing porosity, and increasing ultimate strength. Keywords: GMAW Welding, Tensile Test, Macro Optical Test.

Abstract

Abstract

The study addresses persistent communication barriers faced by students with disabilities, particularly the deaf, by exploring challenges, presenting breakthroughs, and introducing an innovative solution-a sign language translator (SLT) using motion capture technology. This groundbreaking technology, deployed through the ADDIE model and validated with user acceptance testing (UAT), successfully integrates into the learning management system (LMS) at SLB Bina Insani Depok, demonstrating its efficacy in bridging communication gaps. The results suggest a notable increase in efficiency for tasks such as t2, t3, and t5, highlighting the system’s improved ability to direct users to the LMS homepage, the SLT page, and translate words into sign language, respectively. The study suggests further development in advanced animation to enhance the learning experience for deaf students and recommends progressing toward the total communication (KOMTAL) system for comprehensive communication preparation, ultimately aiming to create an inclusive and dynamic learning platform for the holistic development of deaf students.
