Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems experienced by prospective workers and tries to identify the factors that contribute to these problems, and describes the management of workers by the Department of Labor District Pringsewu.  This research type is a descriptive analysis. The unit of analysis in this study were 10 former workers (TKI) that all are women who residing in Pekon Pujodadi, District Pardasuka, Pringsewu Regency. Informants also from The Department of Labor, that is Head of Labor (Kasi naker) and a former migrant worker who had helped prospective workers on dealing with documents and procedures.                            The study found that problems experienced by migrant workers started from rural origin, pertaining to administrative proceedings before leaving for  work in the destination country to issue such documents. In the destination country, the problems identified such as mismatches jobs promised to those obtained, and also the language barrier. After got back to home country (Indonesia) they got benefit economically but the use of remittance could not be optimal due to daily consumption. It is known that the local government of Pringsewu Regency not paying attention and making human resource development of workers as an efforts of development investments. It can be seen there is no enough budget allocated for integrated management of workers.  Keywords: development, workers, the role of local government

Abstract

Abstract

Implementation Activities  Community Services  is  located in the District  Jatiagung South Lampung.  The method used  in the form of  lectures  and discussion  /  FAQ. Thus, the  evaluation design  used was  a quantitative  evaluation  through pre-test and post-test  and evaluation qualitatively  through  discussion  /  question and answer with monitoring during  the extension  / dissemination of the material presented during the process of  counseling /  socialization  takes place  between  the  participants in the material  renderer. Of implementation, it can be  produced  the conclusion that  the management  had understood the concept of village institutions and policies outline the rules governing the content of  the GOI, has understood mechanisms and normative regulations  in the management of  village institutions  and  have  understood  the position of  rural community participation  in management activities of institutional by members of the village by village in the district secretaries  forum Jatiagung South Lampung regency. Keywords: Aparateur Capacity, Villages Institution

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The policy of coastal reclamation in the Teluk Lampung ample posessome problems or lack of socio-economic conditions of rendering of fishermenaround the area of reclamation. After the policy of coastal reclamationimplemented, have are gave an impact on the fishermen about being the difficulty in finding fish and meet his needs. So the formula obtained by the issue of howsocio-economic impacts of fishing due to the perceived policy of coastalreclamation in the Teluk Lampung, especially Kelurahan Sukaraja. The purpose ofthis research is to give an overview of the impact of the social economy isperceived as one of the fishermen the impact arising from the existence of apolicy of coastal reclamation in the Teluk Lampung. This research was conductedto evaluate the impact of coastal reclamation policy. In evaluating the impact ofthis policy, researchers used the theory of impact evaluations or evaluationsummative evaluation methods belonged to Rossi and Freeman, then use the lawand some other supporting theory. Type of this research is descriptive researchwith qualitative approach. Conclusion of this research is the policy of coastalreclamation have yet to produce the desired impact. This is due to several factors.(1) Problems related to lack of public land in the town of Bandar Lampung has yetto be resolved, (2) the lack of participation or the participation of coastalcommunities, (3) how implementation is not appropriate, (4) the Government ofthe city of Bandar Lampung that have yet to implement environmentallydevelopment, (5) Yet the existence of the handling of the Government of the cityof Bandar Lampung accepted impact-related coastal communities, (6) theincidence of coastal communities must feel aggrieved and only benefit thedeveloper. In addition, the policy of reclaiming the beaches generate unwantedimpacts for coastal communities in particular Kelurahan Sukaraja fisherman. Sothe Government of the city of Bandar Lampung need to apply environmentallydevelopment, oversight and coordination to deal with the impact of requiringcommunity as well as in the process of coastal reclamation policy. Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gaya kepemimpinan Walikota Metro 2005-2015, Lukman Hakim. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa selama dua periode menjadi Walikota Metro gaya kepemimpinan yang digunakan oleh Lukman Hakim adalah gaya demokratis. Dengan gaya demokratis, kepemimpinan Lukman Hakim bisa dinilai cukup adaptif dengan dinamika tuntutan perkembangan pemerintahan di Kota Metro. Hal tersebut diwujudkan dalam kegiatan seperti bedah APBD, pelayanan satu atap atau uji kepatuhan dan kepantasan (fit and proper test) untuk pejabat birokrasi pemerintahan di Kota Metro dalam rangka merealisasikan tuntutan dinamika pemerintahan yang demokratis dan pemerintahan yang bersih.Salah satu hasil dari reformasi birokrasi yang dilakukan oleh Lukman Hakim sebagai Walikota Metro adalah naiknya Indeks Pelayanan Publik pada tahun 2012 yang disebabkan semakin membaiknya kinerja birokrasi dalam memberikan pelayanan pada mayarakat.

Abstract

Artikel ini akan menyajikan pemahaman tentang bagaiamana purna buruh migrant dapat memberikan dampak bagi keluarga dan masyarakat di sekelilingnya dalam hal peningkatan kualitas hidup dan kesejahteraan. Latar belakang utama dari artikel ini adalah semakin mudah dan banyaknya orang yang memutuskan menjadi pekerja migran di luar negaranya sebagai dampak dari globalisasi. Selanjutnya artikel ini akan focus pada purnaburuhmigran dan akan mencoba memberikan penjelasan pentingnya penelitian lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana para purna buruh migrant tersebut dapat berkontribusi untuk pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Dalam artikel ini disajikan beberapa hasil penelitian tentang hubungan remitan, pembangunan dan buruh migran di dua negara Asia Tenggara yang merupakan negara pengirim buruh migrant terbesar di asiaTenggara. This article presents an understanding of how returnees of overseas workers have an impact on family and community in term of prosperity and wellbeing. The main background of thisarticle is the growing trend of migration as one impact of globalization. Furthermore this article focuses on overseas workers and will seek to address the lack attention of current research on demonstrating how returnees overseas workers could contribute to sustainable development. At the end of the article it suggests to do further research in order to find answers about the impacts of having experiences as overseas workers for family and community prosperity and well being. In this article is discussed two regions in Southeast Asia namely Indonesia and Philippine where in these two countries playing significant role as sending countries for overseas workers.
