Abstract

Recently many adolescents have not received adequate character education either in their families or school environments and probably even both; it is to say that the result shows delinquent behaviors occurred among adolescents. In regards to these environments, there are other aspects may influence such behaviors, and to name a few, we have technology in hand. Technology and the Internet give us access to sufficient information – due to its nature is accessible to many - both advantages and disadvantages. These two-sided effects, however, are possible to control and minimize if proposed actions are taken to achieve the maximum benefits for building strong characters in adolescents. This writing reports the predetermined actions that took place in a community group (Rukun Warga or RW) in Cibereum, in the district of Cisarua, Bogor. It focuses on the members of Family Welfare Movement or Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahateraan Keluarga (PKK); the members are mothers with young children and adolescents of the community group. The program used in encouraging and raising awareness of the PKK members was a hypnoparenting method in their parenting style. At the end of the program, the PKK members could apply the skills learned throughout the program into their parenting practices.  Keywords: character building; hypnoparenting; family; young adult education

Abstract

The research aims at determining the effect of using Genre-Based Approach towards students’ skill on writing recount text at SMP PGRI 9 East Jakarta. It uses quantitative design by giving treatment of the application of Genre-Based Approach to the experiment class. The population was all students of eight graders at SMP PGRI 9 East Jakarta and was taken 50 of them as the samples. They were divided into two classes; the experiment class consists of 25 students and the control class consists of 25 students. The result shows that the mean of the control class is 69.78, the median is 70, and the mode is 65.94 with standard deviation values is 7.63. While, the mean of the experiment class is 81.06, the median is 81.35 and the mode is 101.5 with standard deviation values is 10.1. The Fobserved is 1.78 < Ftable 1.98, meaning that both classes are homogenous. The hypothesis test tobserved is 4.44 > ttable 2.01, which means that H1 is accepted which confirms there is an effect of using Genre-Based Approach towards students’ writing skill on recount text at SMP PGRI 9 East Jakarta.

Abstract

Anderson et al (2001) introduces the way to state educational objectives in the forms of a verb and a noun. The verb generally represents the intended cognitive process; that is, the kind of student’s behaviour to be developed, while the noun generally represents the kinds of knowledge to be expected and acquired by students; that is, the content in which this behaviour is to operate. This descriptive qualitative research aims to find out the kinds of knowledge acquired by students in the teaching of reading comprehension to SMA students. The data of the research is taken from the noun stated in the teachers’ questions and instructions which are then analyzed by using Anderson’s lists of knowledge dimension. The results show that acquired 46,15% of factual knowledge, 38,46% of conceptual knowledge, and 15.38%.of procedural knowledge. Keywords: educational objective, kinds of knowledge, reading comprehension skill

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis kesalahan penggunaan kata kerja beraturan dan tidak beraturan pada karangan narasi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Setelah menganalisiskesalahan dari 30 data karangan narasi yang dibuat oleh 30 siswa terdapat total kesalahan adalah 150, akhirnya penulis menarik simpulan bahwa kesalahan kata kerja tidak beraturan  yaitu 108 kesalahan (72%) dan kata kerja beraturan yaitu 42 kesalahan (28%).Kata Kunci: Analisis, Kesalahan, kata kerja beraturan, kata kerja tidak beraturan, karangan narasi

Abstract

Saat ini kemajuan  TIK di Negara Indonesia berkembang sangat pesat. Melalui pemanfatan TIK. Saat ini semua pihak dapat meningkatkan mutu dan efisiensi waktu. Tekologi Informasi Komunikasi berkembang sejalan dengan perkembangan  teori dan komunikasi teknologi yang menunjang terhadap praktik kegiatan pembelajaran.Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) adalah  sebagian dari ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) secara umum adalah semua teknologi yang berhubungan dengan pengambilan, pengumpulan, pengolahan, penyimpanan, penyebaran, dan penyajian informasi. Aplikasi Teknologi Informasi komunikasi dengan definisi tersebut meliputi semua perangkat keras, perangkat lunak, infratruktur computer dan komunikasi. TIK dalam manajemen pendidikan sangat diperlukan guna dalam menyediakan informasi untuk menunjang dan mempermudah proses. Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pendidikan menjadi faktor penting untuk meningkatkan pelayanan sekaligus penghematan dan  kini telah menjadi salah satu standar mutu pada Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah. Sistem Informasi Manajemen  pendidikan menyediakan output dari sistem manajemen informasi berupa rencana dan anggaran, laporan yang terjadwal, laporan khusus, analisis situasi masalah, keputusan untuk penelaahan, dan merupakan jawaban atas rumitnya suatu proses panjang pada manajemen pendidikan dasar dan menengah, sistem informasi manajemen pada pendidikan dasar dan menengah merupakan sarana untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada stakeholder, masyarakat  dan para pihak yang berkepentingan

Abstract

Manajemen organisasi memerlukan suatu sistem yang saling terkait satu dengan yang lain. Proses kegiatan dimulai dari suatu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, penggerakan dan pengawasan untuk memberdayakan semua sumber pada organisasi untuk mencapai tujuaqn yang disepakati. Jaringan sistem pendidikan merupakan suatu sistem terbuka yang bisa mempengaruhi dan dipengaruhi oleh faktor di luar lingkungan organisasi. Metode dalam penulisan ini menggunakan metode studi literature, dimana tahapan yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai kajian sebagai materi pendukungDiharapkan kepada para pengambil keputusan dapat melihat permasalahan pendidikan tidak secara parsial melainkan secara holistik. Abstract

People have unconsciously mixed up the use of Indonesian with a foreign language in the communication. It might be due to the emerging new Indonesian vocabularies as the impact of the rapid innovation in technology. This study aims to examine the consistency quality of the Indonesian vocabularies in the Republika newspaper. The data of this qualitative research is the form of words or phrases of foreign and Indonesian terms. These were searched with their equivalence in the Great Dictionary of Indonesian Language (KBBI) and in the Glossary of Foreign Terms-Indonesia (GIAI). The results show that 40% of vocabularies used is considered inconsistent and the other 60% is consistent to rate that Republika newspaper is good enough in its consistency quality.

Abstract

The success of a nation is measured by the success of its young generation in the present and the future. Therefore the business in education is the main factor to form a young generation of character. Where quality and competence are the critical success factors. Globalization is where the world has no boundaries, and this is the reality that the world community must face. How to respond to globalization and modernization while maintaining the value of cultural values that characterize a society in a culture. Cultural character education is an approach that must be done so that development can run in accordance with the value of local wisdom value of quality and in accordance with the environment. Abstrak Keberhasilan suatu bangsa diukur dengan keberhasilan generasi mudanya di masa kini dan masa yang akan datang. Karenanya usaha dibidang pendidikan merupakan faktor utama untuk membentuk generasi muda yang berkarakter . Dimana kualitas dan kompentensi menjadi faktor penentu keberhasilan. Globalisasi adalah di mana dunia sudah tidak mengenal batas, dan ini adalah realita yang harus dihadapi masyarakat dunia. Bagaimana merespon globalisasi dan modernisasi dengan tetap mempertahankan nilai nilai budaya yang menjadi ciri suatu masyarakat dalam suatu egara.Pendidikan karakter berbasis kebudayaan adalah pendekatan yang harus dilakukan agar pembangunan dapat berjalan sesuai dengan nilai nilai kearifan lokal yang berkualitas dan sesuai dengan lingkungannya. Abstract

This current community service activity was aimed to socialize The School Literacy Movement (SLM) to the teachers at Islamic School of Hidayatul Mubtadi’in so that the school residents are able to apply the program at their school independently. This service focuses on 3 (three) scopes; (a) the availability of the school's physical environment (literacy facilities and infrastructure), (b) the social and affective environment (support and active participation of all school residents) and (c) the academic environment (literacy program that fosters interest in reading and supporting learning activities). The method used in this activity is the communicative lecture, discussion and question and answer. The results achieved at the end of this activity were the formation of the Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Reading Garden and reading habituation activities for students both inside and outside the classroom. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) kepada guru-guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Hidayatul Mubtadi’in Jakasampurna, Bekasi. Pada akhir kegiatan ini diharapkan warga sekolah dapat melaksanakan program tersebut secara mandiri dan terprogram. Penekanan sosialisasi GLS ini diarahkan pada usaha mengoptimalkan 3 (tiga) ruang lingkup sebagai syarat tercapainya budaya literasi, yaitu (a) tersedianya lingkungan fisik sekolah (fasilitas dan sarana prasarana literasi), (b) lingkungan sosial dan afektif (dukungan dan partisipasi aktif seluruh warga sekolah) dan (c) lingkungan akademik (program literasi yang menumbuhkan minat baca dan menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran). Metode yang dipakai dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang dicapai pada akhir kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya Taman Bacaan Hidayatul Mubtadi’in dan kegiatan pembiasaan membaca bagi siswa baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas. Abstract

Language possesses the ability to exert influence over individuals and their behavior, particularly in the realm of advertising. Social media advertisements are not haphazardly constructed but rather meticulously crafted, considering various factors. One such consideration is the intention to entice readers into purchasing the advertised products. Social media platforms employ multiple language styles to create captivating advertisements, each with its unique way of conveying ideas and promoting products. Language styles in social media advertising play a crucial role in capturing the reader's attention. This study aims to identify the language styles employed in Dior Beauty's social media posts and explore how meaning is conveyed to readers through these styles. Qualitative descriptive methods are utilized, focusing on the theory of Pop. Data is collected from Dior Beauty's social media posts on platforms like Instagram, within the 20th February to 20th June timeframe. The findings reveal that Dior Beauty's social media advertisements employ four language styles: morphological, syntactical, rhetorical, and slogan style. Among these, sloganized style stands out as the most frequently used in Dior Beauty's social media posts.
