Abstract

Kabupaten Kepahiang merupakan sentra produksi sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan salah satunya buah pisang. Kualitas produksi sangat bergantung pada proses pemeliharaan dan pemupukan yang harganya sangat memberatkan dan menjadi permasalahan bagi petani. Pasca panen, batang pisang akan dibiarkan sebagai limbah padahal batang pisang berpotensi sebagai bioenergi pertanian. Berkaitan dengan permasalahan dan potensi tersebut maka dilaksanakan  kegiatan pengabdian yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan motivasi kepada masyarakat Desa Tapak Gedung Kecamatan Tebat Karai Kabupaten Kepahiang Propinsi Bengkulu dalam memanfaatkan limbah pisang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui 3 strategi yaitu Sosialisasi, Pelaksanaan serta monitoring dan evaluasi program. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, Fosused Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara, praktek lapangan dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan ini disambut baik dan antusias oleh masyarakat Desa Tapak Gedung. Masyarakat merasa sangat terbantu dalam penyedian pupuk organik dalam menunjang usaha pertaniannya. Berdasarkan strategi yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani melalui pembuatan bioenergi pertanian dari limbah batang pisang dapat memberikan ilmu yang sangat membantu bagi masyarakat serta pembuatan pupuk organik dalam skala besar dapat dijadikan alternatife untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. AbstractKepahiang Regency is a center for the production of vegetables and fruits, one of which is bananas. The quality of production is very dependent on the maintenance and fertilization process, which is very expensive and a problem for farmers. After harvest, banana stems will be left as waste, even though banana stems have the potential as agricultural bioenergy. In connection with these problems and potential, community service activities were carried out aimed at providing knowledge and motivation to the people of Tapak Gedung Village, Tebat Karai District, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province in utilizing banana waste. This activity is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method through 3 strategies: socialization, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the program. Data were collected through observation techniques, Focused Group Discussion (FGD), interviews, field practice and documentation. This activity was welcomed and enthusiastically by the people of Tapak Gedung Village. The community feels very helpful in providing organic fertilizers to support their agricultural business. Based on the strategy carried out, it can be concluded that the activities of empowering farmer groups through the manufacture of agrarian bioenergy from banana stem waste can provide knowledge that is very helpful for the community, and the manufacture of organic fertilizers on a large scale can be used as an alternative to improve the community's economy.

Abstract

Abstrak Keberhasilan destinasi wisata tidak akan terlepas dari perencanaan yang dilakukan di awal. Kebutuhan masyarakat lokasi destinasi wisata menjadi hal yang pertama dan utama mengingat bahwa suatu program berkaitan erat dengan potensi dan masalah. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan masyarakat desa Sidoluhur sebagai dasar dalam perencanaan program permberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui 3 strategi yaitu: sosialisasi, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi program. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, Focused Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara dan teknik dokumentasi. Berdasarkan strategi yang dilakukan kemudian dapat disimpulkan bahwa permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat yaitu terkait dengan masih rendahnya wawasan masyarakat terkait dengan pengelolaan destinasi wisata dan belum semua elemen masyarakat aktif berpartisipasi. Berdasarkan hasil kebutuhan tersebut, maka upaya pengembangan diperlukan pembinaan secara berkala dan sinergi dengan program pemerintah agar dapat saling berkolaborasi. Abstract The success of a tourist destination will not be separated from the planning done at the beginning. The needs of the tourist destination location community are first and foremost considering that a program is closely related to potential and problems. So the purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of the community in Sidoluhur village as a basis for planning community empowerment programs. The study was conducted using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method through 3 strategies: socialization, implementation, and program monitoring and evaluation. Data collected through observation techniques, Focused Group Discussion (FGD), interviews and documentation techniques. Based on the strategy carried out then it can be concluded that the main problems faced by the community are related to the still low level of community insight related to the management of tourist destinations and not all elements of society actively participate. Based on the results of these needs, the development effort needed for regular development and synergy with government programs in order to collaborate with each other.

Abstract

Abstrak: Abad 21 ini juga ditandai dengan keterbukaan artinya manusia pada abad 21 mengalami perubahan yang furdamental yang memiliki perbedaan dengan kehidupan sebelumnya. Dengan demikian saat perkembangan pada abad 21 ini semua aspek akan mengalami perubahan termasuk pada sumber daya manusia  yang berkualitas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur tingkat keterampilan komunikasi melalui Particiaptory Learning (PL) pada kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani Desa Sricunoro. Metode yang digunakan social action research penelitian digunakan dengan 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian dengan PL menunjukkan pada siklus 1 terhadap 4 warga belajar dengan persentase 60-75% (sedang) dan 19 warga belajar dengan persentase 55-50% (cukup). Siklus II 3 warga belajar dengan persentase 76-86% dan 20 warga belajar persentase 60-75% (sedang), dan siklus III terjadi menunjukkan warga belajar dengan persensate 76-85% (baik) dan warga 16 warga belajar dengan persentase 60-75% (sedang). Improvement of Communication Skills through Participatory Learning in Community Empowerment activities Abstract: The 21st century also experiences openness, that is, humans in the 21st century experience changes that are different from their previous lives. Thus the development of the 21st century, all aspects will experience changes, including quality human resources. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of communication skills through Particiaptory Learning (PL) in the empowerment activities of farmer groups in Sricunoro Village. The method used is social action research which is studied in 3 cycles. The results of the research with PL showed that in cycle 1 there were 4 learning citizens with a proportion of 60-75% (moderate) and 19 citizens learning with a proportion of 55-50% (sufficient). Cycle II 3 residents learn with a proportion of 76-86% and 20 residents learn the proportion of 60-75% (moderate), and cycle III shows that residents learn with a percentage of 76-85% (good) and 16 residents learn with a proportion of 60-75% (moderate).

Abstract

Life skills education is carried out with the aim of providing skills to a person so that life becomes more productive and efficient. This study aims to describe the concept of learning life skills for people with mental disabilities at BRSPDM Dharma Guna Bengkulu which is packaged in a life therapy program. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Sources of information in this study are centered on social workers who serve people with mental disabilities. This is done to obtain information about life skills education programs for people with mental disabilities. The result of this research is a model of providing life skills to persons with disabilities by providing programs that are of interest to participants such as agriculture, fisheries, carpentry, local crafts, handicrafts, and hydroponic gardening. The learning process is carried out through identifying learning needs through interview techniques for each person with mental disability. Social workers have the task of formulating and identifying the required programs. So that, the life skills program is not only carried out within the Dharma Guna BRSPDM environment. Not only that, learning activities supported by partners can provide practical experience to learning participants with mental disabilities. The conclusion of this study is that livelihood therapy activities are a form of therapy-based learning that is able to provide provisions for people with mental disabilities. The identification process becomes the basis for providing navigation to learning participants both from directions to outcomes that can later be obtained by learning participants. Activities carried out individually on identifying learning needs are a way of receiving information about problems and future skill needs of people with mental disabilities.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini karena ditemukannya beberapa keunikan model pembelajaran santri Salafiyah pada Pondok Pesantren Al Ittifaq. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan, wawancara terbuka dan mendalam. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah pola pemagangan yang digunakan pada pembelajaran mendekati konstruk inkuiri terbimbing. Perpaduan antara pendidikan agama Islam dan usaha pertanian (agribisnis) sesuai dengan kebutuhan santri program Salafiyah di pondok pesantren. Pola inkuiri terbimbing memberikan pengalaman nyata kepada peserta, sehingga nantinya mampu mengelola lahan tidur menjadi area pertanian, peternakan, dan perikanan dalam meningkatkan aset pendapatan kelompok tani yang dibuat. Kehadiran model ini semakin memberikan gambaran bahwa setiap individu dapat mengembangkan kapasitas dirinya sendiri asalkan dilakukan pembimbingan. Kelebihan model ditemukan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam melakukan pemecahan masalah dan peserta belajar mampu mengatur diri sendiri untuk belajar. Dampak yang dihasilkan dari hasil pembelajaran ini adalah diperolehnya kompetensi dalam berwirausaha agar mampu menjadi pebisnis muda.A Guided Inquiry in Appertenceship System for The Students at Islamic Boarding SchoolAbstract: This research goal is derived from some uniquenesses found in the learning model used in the Salafiyah program at Al Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School. This research deploys a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, open and in-depth interviews. The findings of this study are the apprenticeship pattern used in learning with a guided inquiry construct approach. The combination of Islamic religious education and agricultural business (agribusiness) is in accordance with the needs of the students of the salafiyah program in Islamic boarding schools. The guided inquiry pattern provides real experience to participants, so that later they are able to manage unused land into agricultural, livestock and fishery areas in increasing the income assets of the farmer groups created. The presence of this model further illustrates that each individual can develop his or her own capacity during the mentoring. The superiority of the model was found to increase the participants' skills in problem solving and the learning participants were able to organize themselves to learn. The impact resulting from the results of this learning is the acquisition of competence in entrepreneurship in order to be able to become a young entrepreneur.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the sewing training for people with disabilities at the UPTD Loka Bina Karya Manna, South Bengkulu Regency. This study utilized a qualitative descriptive method. The findings indicate that the participants who attended the training were able to acquire sewing skills. The learning materials used in the training include introduction to sewing machines from the sewing machine knowledge module, basic pattern-making from the fashion pattern-making module, various stitches from the fabric knowledge and basic stitches module, and simple sewing process from the simple sewing process module. The learning tools provided were pins, hand needles for hand sewing, and machine needles for using the sewing machines and overlock machines. The learning approach focused on skill empowerment, while the learning strategy used direct teaching, beginning from stating the training objectives, providing explanations of the materials by the instructor in front of the class, and ending with question and answer sessions. The training evaluation utilized a summative evaluation method.

Abstract

Sekam padi merupakan produk sampingan produksi beras yang memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi limbah di lingkungan, sehingga perlu upaya yang preventif dan penanggulangan yang dilakukan secara terprogram dan bersinergi. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengatahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan limbah sekam menjadi pupuk Bokashi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh peserta sebanyak 20 orang, yang berprofesi sebagai petani. Kegiatan terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dengan N-gain 0,85 atau kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini efektif dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat Desa Srikuncoro.
