Abstract

Permasalahan pembelajaran matematika di Kabupaten Kepahiang adalah kurangnya penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran matematika hal ini berakibat rendahnya hasil belajar Matematika siswa SMP di Kabupaten Kepahiang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan alat peraga dan film pembelajaran Matematika dan proses pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pelatihan dan workshop yang dibagi menjadi 2 tahap. Pada tahap 1 peserta (guru matematika) diberikan materi tentang pembuatan alat peraga matematika dan langsung praktek pembuatannya. Alat peraga matematika yang dibuat adalah menara hanoi, loncat katak, segitiga ajaib, permainan kartu fungsi dan permainan sepak bola. Pada tahap 2 peserta (guru matematika) diberikan materi tentang pembuatan video pembelajaran. Setelah melakukan pelatihan dan workshop, peserta diberikan waktu selama 2 bulan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media (alat peraga dan film) di sekolah masing-masing. Peserta kegiatan adalah guru matematika se kabupaten Kepahiang yang berjumlah 40 orang. Selanjutnya dilakukan observasi proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru dengan lembar evaluasi dan lembar angket. Dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, guru dapat membuat alat peraga dan film pembelajaran yang menarik dan sederhana. Dengan penerapan media pembelajaran Matematika, guru dapat menjelaskan pelajaran matematika di sekolah menjadi lebih sistematis, menarik, mudah dipahami dan waktu menjadi lebih efisien. Akibatnya pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan keaktifan siswa meningkat.Kata Kunci : Alat peraga, film, pembelajaran Matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze interest in learning and student responses in online learning using e-learning media in Universitas Bengkulu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire distributed using google form. Questionnaire analysis was carried out using a mini step application with the Rasch model. The population in this study was 193 science education students with a total sample of 64 people. The results showed that the interest in learning science education students in general chemistry 2 had a conversion value of 78.56, which was in the high category. Meanwhile, the student person towards online learning using e-learning media also showed good results, with a conversion value of 60.42, which was in the good category.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of the flipped classroom model on students learning outcomes on the chemistry subject, particularly on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This research employed pre-experimental research and a one-group pre-test post-test design on one sample group. We used the method to compare pre-test and post-test results. This research was conducted in Public High School 9, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. The population was 76 tenth graders of Mathematics and Natural Science Class. As many as 25 students of Class X-I were chosen as the samples using purposive sampling. The research instrument was pre-test and post-test, consisting of 10 questions to assess learning outcomes. We analyzed the average value of learning outcomes. The SPSS application was used to evaluate the normality, homogeneity, and hypotheses. The average pre-test score was 64.6, and the average post-test score was 87.8. Learning outcomes were normally and homogeneously distributed. The hypothesis testing produced a significance value of 0.000<0.05. Therefore, the flipped classroom model using a scientific approach and e-modules significantly affected the learning outcomes of the chemistry subject. The research result showed that the implementation of the flipped classroom model positively affected and improved the learning outcomes on the chemistry subject, particularly on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

Kabupaten Kepahiang merupakan sentra produksi sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan salah satunya buah pisang. Kualitas produksi sangat bergantung pada proses pemeliharaan dan pemupukan yang harganya sangat memberatkan dan menjadi permasalahan bagi petani. Pasca panen, batang pisang akan dibiarkan sebagai limbah padahal batang pisang berpotensi sebagai bioenergi pertanian. Berkaitan dengan permasalahan dan potensi tersebut maka dilaksanakan  kegiatan pengabdian yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan motivasi kepada masyarakat Desa Tapak Gedung Kecamatan Tebat Karai Kabupaten Kepahiang Propinsi Bengkulu dalam memanfaatkan limbah pisang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui 3 strategi yaitu Sosialisasi, Pelaksanaan serta monitoring dan evaluasi program. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, Fosused Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara, praktek lapangan dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan ini disambut baik dan antusias oleh masyarakat Desa Tapak Gedung. Masyarakat merasa sangat terbantu dalam penyedian pupuk organik dalam menunjang usaha pertaniannya. Berdasarkan strategi yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok tani melalui pembuatan bioenergi pertanian dari limbah batang pisang dapat memberikan ilmu yang sangat membantu bagi masyarakat serta pembuatan pupuk organik dalam skala besar dapat dijadikan alternatife untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. AbstractKepahiang Regency is a center for the production of vegetables and fruits, one of which is bananas. The quality of production is very dependent on the maintenance and fertilization process, which is very expensive and a problem for farmers. After harvest, banana stems will be left as waste, even though banana stems have the potential as agricultural bioenergy. In connection with these problems and potential, community service activities were carried out aimed at providing knowledge and motivation to the people of Tapak Gedung Village, Tebat Karai District, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province in utilizing banana waste. This activity is carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method through 3 strategies: socialization, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the program. Data were collected through observation techniques, Focused Group Discussion (FGD), interviews, field practice and documentation. This activity was welcomed and enthusiastically by the people of Tapak Gedung Village. The community feels very helpful in providing organic fertilizers to support their agricultural business. Based on the strategy carried out, it can be concluded that the activities of empowering farmer groups through the manufacture of agrarian bioenergy from banana stem waste can provide knowledge that is very helpful for the community, and the manufacture of organic fertilizers on a large scale can be used as an alternative to improve the community's economy.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to develop the practicum of organic chemistry 1 by using the Adobe Flash application and to describe the students feasibility and response to the practicum developed. This type of research used in this research is research and development. The sample in this research is 3rd semester students of Chemistry Education Study Program in the academic year of 2018/ 2019. The instruments used in this research are validation sheets of material and media experts and response questionnaires students after testing. Based on the results of research that has been done, several stages of development ranging from problem identification, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trials have been carried out. The results of the validation of material experts obtained an average of 4,20 (very valid category) and an average media expert of 4.275 (very valid category). For the readability test of the developed guide, it was obtained 4.204 (very interesting category and student response was 3,936 (interesting category). Based on the results of expert validation and testing to students, the development of the organic chemistry 1 practicum guide was feasible to be applied in learning activities in class.

Abstract

One of Bengkulu's local culture is the utilization of medicinal plants by the people of Bengkulu, especially South Bengkulu, namely "Simbagh Utak" (Hydnophytum formicarum) for treating various diseases including Gout. However, they still use naturally, there is no scientific studied. This study was aimed to analyze the effect of “Simbagh Utak” (H. formicarum) on the reduction of serum uric acid levels in hyperuricemia male mice. This study used 25 male mice, that devided into 5 groups. The control group was given pellet feed (G1). We injected the high purine feed treatment per-oral to induce hyperuricemia (Negative control, G2) and then given H. formicarum extract 5.3mg/30gW (G3), 10.2mg/30gW (G4) and 21,2mg/30gW (G5). Uric acid measurements were performed using a digital method with easy touch /GCU. The tubers were extracted with maceration, eluent selection and isolation of the isolated components was carried out using thin layer chromatography and column chromatography. The extraction results were analyzed of functional groups using FTIR. The result showed that “simbagh utak” extract 5.3mg/30gW, 10.2mg/30gW and 21,2mg/30gW could reduced uric acid levels of hyperuricemia male mice 34.1%, 48.0% dan 53.4% respectively. On this basis, we conclude that "Simbagh Utak" extract could reduced levels of uric acid M. musculus males who have experienced a state of hyperuricemia (excess uric acid) very significantly at a dose of 21.2mg /30gW.

Abstract

[PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF SOME FRACTIONS FROM BARK OF CASTOR (Ricinus communis L.)]. The Phytochemical screening was conducted to determine secondary metabolites found in the bark of castor (Ricinus communis L.).The test results of phytochemical screening that has been done presence of  phenolic, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and terpenoids. Extraction is done by maceration using ethanol 96%. Tests performed on the fraction of the antioxidant activity of ethanol, ethyl acetate, n-hexane, and ascorbic acid as compared to using DPPH. The results of measuring the antioxidant activity using Uv-Vis Spectrophotometer IC50 values obtained succession namely fraction of ethanol, ethyl acetate, n-hexane, and ascorbic acid, 33,38, 24,38, 289, 05 and 12, 48 ppm. Fraction of ethanol and ethyl acetate has a very strong antioxidant activity due IC50<50 ppm while the n-hexane fraction very weak antioxidant activity. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan media presentasi online Prezi pada materi konsep mol terhadap hasil belajar siswa Kelas X MIPA SMA N 9 Bengkulu Utara Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Data berupa N-Gain Score, lembar observasi guru, angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan rata-rata, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest dengan rata-rata 34,636 dan 71,545 untuk kelas eksperimen sedangkan pada kelas kontrol 27,407 dan 61,407. Pemanfaatan media online Prezi mendapat nilai N-Gain Score sebesar 0,587 diperoleh dari rata-rata pretest dan posttest. Hasil observasi guru kimia pembelajaran berlangsung dengan baik dengan skor total 20. Respon siswa dari angket berisi 10 pernyataan sangat positif dengan persentase 81,93%. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis (Uji t) dengan taraf signifikansi < 0,05 didapat nilai 0,000423. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kimia yang menggunakan media presentasi online Prezi dengan pendekatan saintifik lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional.
