Abstract

Innovation is a certainty for the development of folk music. The use of digital technology is part of the creation of folk music in the sense of evolution itself. Krinok music is one of Jambi’s traditional music themes. This music genre is a cultural wealth that has great potential for artistic development and advancement. Musical systems, melodic contours, musical grammar, and interval patterns make up the distinctive character of krinok music. The normative freedom of the singing text’s spontaneous expression in presenting this musical entity and its changes is the entity that colors this uniqueness. The contribution of digital technology in processing krinok music has the potential for reproduction and publication as an integral part of the creative process itself. The placement of krinok music as cultural property is an effort to process it creatively. The result was the birth of new music as a transformation of Jambi folk music called “bungo krinok” music. This creative activity is an effort to progress the Indonesian nation’s culture.

Abstract

Pisang (Musa sp.) adalah salah satu jenis komoditi yang memiliki prospek yang baik, hal ini karena pisang merupakan komoditi yang digemari sebagian besar penduduk dunia. Karakteristik sifat morfologi merupakan cara determinasi yang paling akurat untuk melihat sifat agronomi suatu dan klasifikasi taksonomi tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui luas atau sempitnya keragaman karakter morfologi tanaman pisang yang ada di wilayah daratan Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, mengetahui korelasi antara ketinggian tempat di suatu kecamatan dengan keragaman karakter morfologi pisang di wilayah daratan Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, dan sebagai penunjang bahan peneliti yang akan meneliti tanaman pisang lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 6 kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Berbak, Rantau Rasau, Muaro Sabak Barat, Dendang, Geragai, dan Mendahara Ulu dengan menggunakan 25 karakter morfologi pisang yang telah ditentukan berdasaarkan International Union for The Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan cluster analysis, analisis Score Plot dan analisis korelasi menggunakan perangkat lunak minitab versi 18.0. Hasil Penelitian tanaman pisang yang telah diteliti terdapat keragaman genetik yang luas pada populasi pisang di wilayah daratan Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur dengan 2 kelompok cluster pada fase vegetatif dan 4 kelompok cluster pada fase generatif, tidak terdapat korelasi antara ketinggian tempat dengan sebaran karakter di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur wilayah daratan serta dari 25 karakter morfologi yang diamati, ada 4 karakter kuantitatif dan 21 karakter kualitatif yang memiliki keragaman berkisar dari sangat sempit hingga sangat luas.

Abstract

THE PROCESSING OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE INTO VARIOUS TYPES OF LOCAL MICRO ORGANISMS (LMO) LIQUID FERTILIZERS IN PUDAK VILLAGE, KUMPEH ULU DISTRICT, MUARO JAMBI REGENCY. Household waste such as leftover rice and vegetables can be used as a major component in producing Local Micro Organism (LMO). Local Micro Organism has many advantages, including being used as liquid organic fertilizer, as a decomposer in compost processing, as well as being used as bio-pesticides. The purpose of this community service project was to help the people, particularly farmers, in Pudak Village in producing LMO liquid fertilizer by providing them with relevant knowledge and technology. The technology was developed by utilizing of leftover rice and vegetables which are normally treated as unwanted household wastes. This LMO liquid fertilizer is very much needed by farmers to increase their farm output since it was proven to be able to improve plant growth and development, which in turn increase farm production eventually. In addition, this liquid fertilizer can also be sold and resulting in additional income for farmer household, and village community in general. Finally, as is stated in the objective, this community service program has produced output in the form of LMO liquid fertilizer, which then can be applied on farmers’ field.

Abstract

The induction of chromosome doubling using antimitotic chemical will only be effective when the substance is applied at vegetative growth phase, as it works only during mitotic division within cells of actively growing tissues. Therefore, this investigation was carried out to determine the precise conversion time from vegetative into reproductive growth stage, that in turn can be used as a reliable reference for the application of antimitotic chemicals in doubling the chromosome number in Swainsona formosa. The conversion from vegetative to reproductive growth in Swainsona formosa was successfully determined with particular emphasis on the effect of different photoperiods. Although photoperiod affected the time required for first flower initiation, the number of nodes before the plant entering the reproductive stage was not affected by photoperiod and presumed to be set genetically. It was found that under artificial photoperiods of 16, 12 and 8 hours the 12th and 11th nodes were the critical nodes for the main and side stems, respectively. Meanwhile the 10th and 8th nodes were found to be critical for main and side stems of plants grown under natural photoperiods ranging from 12 to 16 hours during their life cycle. Histological examination indicated that when the plants were grown under 12 – 16 hours photoperiods the first floral bud formation was initiated within 56 – 60 days after germination, thus this period was considered as the critical time for the conversion from vegetative to reproductive growth in S. formosa. Abstract

Penerapan Teknologi 3-Bio (Biofertilizer, Biopesticide dan Biostimulant) Kompos Keong Emas bagi pengembangan produk unggulan pertanian seperti cabai merah, diharapkan mampu mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya produktivitas tanaman cabai merah terutama di lahan-lahan marjinal di Propinsi Jambi, sekaligus mendukung kebijakan pemerintah untuk menggali potensi penerapan teknologi budidaya tanaman secara organik, yang berarti juga mendukung teknologi pertanian berkelanjutan yang aman dan ramah lingkungan. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya Kompos Keong Emas (KKE) selain mengandung berbagai unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman, juga mampu memperbaiki kondisi lahan-lahan marjinal secara fisik, kimia dan biologis, bersifat ramah lingkungan, serta dapat mengurangi keberadaan keong emas yang merupakan salah satu hama utama pada tanaman padi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: 1) mengkaji pengaruh berbagai komposisi KKE dalam media tanam dan dosis pupuk an-organik dalam menginduksi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah, 2) mendapatkan komposisi KKE dan dosis pupuk anorganik terbaik dalam pengembangan tanaman cabai merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan di Teaching and Research Farm-Mendalo Indah, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi. Perlakuan Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan Faktor Perlakuan Perbandingan Komposisi KKE dalam media tanam dan Dosis Pupuk An-organik, yang terdiri dari sembilan taraf perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Berbagai perbandingan komposisi kompos keong emas (KKE) dan level dosis pupuk an-organik mampu mempengaruhi dan menginduksi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah. 2) Perbandingan komposisi kompos keong emas dalam media tanam dan pupuk an-organik dengan perbandingan 1 KKE: 1 Media Tanam : 1/2 Dosis Pupuk An-Organik dapat menginduksi pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai merah terbaik, yang berarti penggunaan kompos keong emas dalam media tanam dengan perbandingan 1:1 dapat mengurangi penggunaan pupuk an-organik sebesar 50% pada budidaya tanaman cabai merah.

Abstract

AbstractKrinok is one of the traditional music genres of the people of Jambi, is a treasure of musical culture and has the potential to be advanced. Its musical potential consists of several characters, especially the tone system, melodic contours, grenades, interval patterns, and circular musical journeys, as well as the normative freedom of expression of spontaneous singing texts in the presentation that characterizes this musical entity. In development as an effort to promote, several aspects mandated by the constitution (UUD-1945) are considered, namely, advancing in the midst of world civilization, and through development; (UU-RI) aims as an investment to build the nation's future and civilization, as well as personality.
