Abstract

This study aims to analyze the supply chain model and supply chain performance kelanting agroindustry in Pesawaran District and Pringsewu District. This research was conducted at Agroindustry Kelanting Darwiyanto in Karang Anyar Village, Gedong Tataan Subdistrict, Pesawaran District and Agroindustry Kelanting Robbani in Mataram Village, Gading Rejo Subdistrict, Pringsewu District.  Data collection was conducted on November-December 2019.  The supply chain model used analysis descriptive method.  Supply chain performance in the kelanting agroindustry is measured using indicators used in measuring the performance of cassava into kelanting based on the SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference).  Supply chain performance measurements were made by comparing indicators FoodSCOR Card indicators, which consist, input indicators and output indicators.  The results showed the flow pattern of supply chain started from farmers and collectors as the main suppliers of raw materials, agroindustry, kelanting wholesalers, kelanting retailer and consumers.  Supply chain performance showed that input indicators were good and output indicators were deficient based on FoodSCOR Card comparison indicators.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: determine the operation performance of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation; determine the contribution of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation to regional development; and determine the welfare level of members of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation according to the criteria of BPS in 2007; in addition to formulate appropriate development strategies as development efforts in the Agro Siger Mandiri Cooperation.  This research was conducted by case study method.  This study employed qualitative descriptive analyses and quantitative analysis method.  The results showed that the performance assessment of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation showed less quality; this cooperation did not have any contributions to regional development; and all members of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation were in welfare category.  The priority strategies that could be used in the development and sustainability of Agro Siger Mandiri cooperation were creating and managing a clear transaction records to determine the financial condition and data of cooperation, utilizing technology to improve product quality and enhance its marketing networks, as well as conducting trainings to improve skills of cooperation administrators and members of cooperation to be able to innovate. Abstract

This research purposes to analyze comparison on the level of certified and non-certified coffee farmer’s farm income, comparison on the level of certified and non-certified coffee farmer’s participation in farmer group activities and assuming acceptance of indirect benefits obtained by coffee farmers in the process of farming.  The study was conducted in Tekad and Tanjung Rejo Villages, Pulau Panggung Sub Districts of Tanggamus Regency.  Total respondents were 70 coffee farmers, consisting of 35 certified coffee farmers and 35 non-certified coffee farmers.  The samples were selected by simple random sampling method.  Research data were collected in September to November 2014 and analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis.  The research results showed that the certified coffee farmer's income was higher than the non-certified coffee farmers.  Similarly, the research result about level of participation in the activities of farmers showed certified coffee farmer’s level of participation in the activities of farmer group was higher than non-certified coffee farmers; in addition, assuming acceptance of indirect benefits that can be accepted by coffee farmers was Rp4,191,080.00 per hectare. Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the cost of production, the proportion of the added value, and identification of agroindustry development prospects of marning if cultivated more. This study was conducted on purpose in the village of Karang Anyar Gedong Tataan Subdistrict of Pesawaran Regency. This study uses census method in determining the sample, methods of data analysis using variable costing method, a full costing method, the method hayami, and identification of internal factors and external factors. Respondents totaled 27 marning processors. The results showed that the cost of production agroindustry marning with variable costing method is Rp9.634,76 and the method of full costing Rp9.809,55. The cost of production is amount of cost that used in producing perkilogram of marning. The added value of the agroindustry of marning was Rp3,715.88 per kilogram. Percentage of labor remuneration to the added value was equal to 53.15 percent and the percentage of owners of agroindustry profits amounted to 46.85 percent of the value added. Marning agroindustry has good prospects when views from the identification of the availability of raw materials, labor availability, supply of marning, competitors, regional product marketing, public support, and the support of government. Abstract

The study aims to analyze the factors that affect production of corn farming, the production efficiency of corn farming, and the behaviour of farmers in facing risks of corn farming. Data were collected in Natar District South Lampung Regency in January – February 2017.  The total of respondents were 58 farmers nonmembers of farmer groups who were chosen by using simple random sampling. The primary data were obtained from direct interviews with the corn farmers and secondary data were obtained from several related institutions.  Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglas production function, economic efficiency analysis by calculating the NPMxi/Pxi value, and quadratic utility function. The results of this research showed the factors that affected the production of corn farming were land area, seed, urea fertilizer, and SP-36 fertilizer.  The corn farming was not economically efficient yet.  Most of farmers were neutral in facing risks, only 1.72 percent farmers were risk averters, and no risk taker farmers.   Key words: behaviour, corn, efficiency, farmers, risks

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze income and the level of food security as well as the factors that influence the food security of household corn farmers. This research was conducted by a survey method in Bandar Agung Village and Sri Pendowo Village, Sub-district of Bandar Sribhawono, East Lampung Regency. Data collection was carried out in February to March 2018 which was analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis and logistik ordinal statistical analysis. Samples of 69 household’s corn farmers were randomly selected by simple random sampling. The results of this study showed that cash income for corn farming per hectare in the first, secondand third planting season amounted to Rp12,872,858.32; Rp10,201,805.09 and Rp5,440,975.65. In average, household income of corn farmers in Sub-district of Bandar Sribhawono was Rp4,370,336.33. From the cross classification between energy suffeficiency and share of food expenditure which resulted four categories of corn farmers household’s food security,it showed that 7 households (10.14 %) were food resistant, 44 households (63.77 %) were less food, 5 households (7.25 %) were vulnerable to food and 13 households (18.84 %) were food insecure. The factors that influenced the level of food security of corn farmers in Bandar Sribhawono Sub-district were influenced by the food expenditure and household expenditure.Key words: corn farmers, food expenditure, food security, incom

Abstract

The research aims to determine the performance of the foreman and the influence of the knowledge, skills, motivation and compensation to performance of the foreman. The method used was census method and use primary and secondary data. The primary data obtained from questionnaires that has been analyzed their validity and reliability to the respondents through direct interviews and secondary data obtained from the literature and related agencies. Data collection was conducted from August to September 2013. The data was analyzed descriptively and verificatively with double linier regression and the data has been analyzed their Successive Interval Method. The results showed that (1) performance of the foreman tapping has the best, (2) knowledge, skills, motivation, and compensation influenced to performance of foreman tapping simultansly while knowledge, skills, and motivation influenced to performance of foreman tapping in PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII, Kedaton Unit Business and Way Berulu Unit Business partially. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the technical efficiency of soybean farming, the factors that influence the technical efficiency of soybean farming, and to calculate the amount of the income of farmers in soybean farming in SLPTT of Candi  Puro Subdistrict of South Lampung regency.  The research location was selected on purpose (purposive sampling) by the consideration of that the area is a center of soybean production of SL-PTT. The samples number of farmers in the study were 55 farmers. Analyses were performed by using the frontier production function, multiple linear regression, and profit R/C. The results showed that  SL-PTT soybean farming in South Lampung regency was technically inefficient. Technical efficiency of farms in South Lampung regency that was equal to 68.17% and the majority of farmers in the range of 61-70% of technical efficiency. The factors that influenced the technical efficiency of the SL-PTT soybean farming in South Lampung regency were the scale of the business, costs of farming, and farm receipts.  SL-PTT soybean in South Lampung regency was profitable farming for farmers with income derived soybean farmer respondents soybean SLPTT per ha was over the cash cost of Rp6,319,193.50 and above the total revenue cost of Rp 5,565,571.96.  The R/C ratio was above 3.57 and the cash cost of the R/C ratio was 2.73 over the total cost. Abstract

The aims of this research were to formulate the strategies for business development of Bandrek Lampung. This study was conducted at Hajimena Village of Natar District in South Lampung Regency by case study method. Alternative strategies formulated by the SWOT matrix. Strategic priorities of business development were formulated by FGD method. The Results showed that strategic priorities for business development were managing the bookkeeping of business; maintaining the continuity of production and quality control; and training the employee about everything of the business so that he can work without supervision, but the product quality remains excellent; taking advantage of developments in technology to improve business performance both in the production side, as well as promoting products; taking an interest in human resource development; focusing on business to approach the supplier; expanding product distribution into the strategic region with close monitoring; maintaining and improving the quality of the product; doing research to find a substitute in recipes and product innovation. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the management of raw materials procurement, management of supply chain, production performance, and also to analyze the internal and the external environmental conditions of banana chips agroindustries. This research was conducted in Sungai Langka Village of Pesawaran Regency. This location was selected purposively with consideration that Sungai Langka Village was the only village in Pesawaran Regency which was built by University of Lampung  as Village Laboratory that actively produce banana chips. The total respondents were 6 people consisting of one owner and one worker from each industry. Data were collected in December 2017 until January 2018. This research is using descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that banana chips agroindustries did not procure raw materials on time and exact amount.  However, management of supply chain and performance of banana chips agroindustries in Sungai Langka Village have been going well. The average productivity was 11.10 kg/working day and the average capacity was 78 percent.Key words: agroindustry, banana chips, environmental, and performance
