Abstract

As one of the most significant communication skills that one is required in the digital era, it is necessary to develop speaking skills among young learners who learn English at elementary school earlier. However, English was not the primary subject for Elementary students, especially in State Elementary schools. So, it made the English teachers have difficulty finding suitable textbooks for students. This article details the findings of a study conducted to learn more about the needs of young English learners in primary schools in the digital age. Four Elementary English teachers in Palangka Raya participated in the study. The study instruments were a questionnaire and interview guide. The survey results are revealed using percentages and qualitative descriptions. The findings will be utilized to create and develop an English e-book (based on local material) for young learners studying English at the elementary level.

Abstract

Speaking English is one of the most significant communication skills that one is required in digital era of the 21th century. Therefore, it is necessary to develop speaking skill earlier for young learners who learn English at elementary school. This article reports a survey to explore the needs of young learners at elementary schools who learn English in digital era. The research subjects were four teachers of English and 258 students of the fourth grade at elementary schools in Palangka Raya. The research instruments are developed in the form of an interview guide and a questionnaire using google form for collecting data concerning the needs of young learners in learning English. Percentage and qualitative description are employed to expose the survey outcomes. The results are used the basis later for designing and developing an e-book of English (based on local content) for young learners who are learning English at elementary schools in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model atau pola kepemimpinan Dayak yang dilaksanakan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah di SDN Percobaan Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan kredibilitas melalui teknik triangulasi data dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan kepemimpinan demokratis dan transformasional melalui penerapan nilai-nilai budaya Dayak yang direalisasikan melalui program kerja sekolah yang jelas dan terukur dengan mendasarkan pada prinsip MBS dan TQM mampu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan pada SDN Percobaan Palangka Raya.  Abstract: This study aims to describe the Dayak leadership model or pattern implemented by the principal to improving the quality of schools at SDN Percobaan Palangka Raya. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation study. The data analysis was performed using a qualitative descriptive method. Data validity checks are carried out with credibility through data and source triangulation techniques. The results showed that the principal's leadership by implementing democratic and transformational leadership through the application of Dayak cultural values realized through clear and measurable school work programs based on the principles of MBS and TQM was able to improve the quality of education at SDN Percobaan Palangka Raya. Abstract

Every Indonesian citizen has the right to get education according to Article 31 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution. To date, education for children with special needs (Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus/ABK) is held separately from the majority one. The separation, further, leads to the idea of inclusive education for all. This research aims to describe the implementation of inclusive education in SDN 4 Palangka and SDN-3 Langkai in Palangkaraya City. Besides, it looks for the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The data derived from observation, interviews and document analysis. The results confirm that the current implementation of inclusive education still needs substantial improvement and support, primarily in terms of qualified teaching staffs, facilities/infrastructure and funding. We found eleven supporting factors and four inhibiting factors influencing the implementation of inclusive education in SDN 4 Palangka and SDN-3 Langkai in Palangka Raya City.

Abstract

Konsep serta proses pengembangan pedesaan dewasa ini telah mengalami pergeseran dan tidak lagi hanya terfokus pada sektor agraris dan infrastuktur saja, melainkan telah mengarah pada penumbuhan nilai-nilai literasi digital berbasis pemanfaatan TIK. Proses tersebut diduga akan mampu mengurangi ketergantungan masyarakat desa terhadap pemerintah karena mereka akan semakin berdaya dan kreatif untuk berinovasi. Berkenaan dengan hal tersebut, diperlukan suatu sistem komunikasi yang mengintegrasikan antara komunikasi interpersonal, media massa dan media hibrida. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menstimulasi keterlibatan seluruh elemen desa dalam ragka percepatan pembangunan. Mengacu pada paradigma perkembangan wilayah pedesaan tersebut, maka tim peneliti mencoba untuk memberikan treatment dalam rangka menstimulasi kemampuan literasi digital masyarakat Desa Anjir Pulang Pisau dengan identifikasi permasalahan sebagai berikut: 1) Kompetensi literasi digital masyarakat Desa Anjir yang masih rendah; 2) Minimnya pengetahuan dan branding desa melalui web; dan 3) Kurangnya sosialisasi pemanfaatan TIK sebagai salah satu sarana pemberdayaan masyarakat desa. Adapun strategi yang diterapkan pada aktivitas penelitian ini ialah melalui penyuluhan tentang pentingnya internet dalam proses pemberdayaan desa yang kemudian disinergikan dengan pelatihan menyusun dan mengembangkan website sebagai sistem administrasi serta promosi berbagai potensi lokal di Desa Anjir, Kab. Pulang Pisau. Setelah pemberian perlakuan berakhir yang melibatkan tim peneliti, stakeholder desa dan masyarakat setempat, maka diperoleh hasil berupa meningkatnya kompetensi literasi digital operator desa dan peserta pelatihan dalam pemanfaatan internet untuk pembuatan website desa sebagai sistem administrasi sekaligus promosi berbagai keunggulan dan kearifan lokal di Desa Anjir. Peserta pelatihan mampu mengubah dirinya sendiri untuk lebih berdaya bagi pribadi, keluarga dan masyarakat. The concept and process of rural development today has experienced a shift and no longer only focuses on the agricultural sector and infrastructure, but has led to the growth of digital literacy values ​​based on the use of ICT. The process is expected to be able to reduce the dependence of rural communities on the government because they will be more empowered and creative to innovate. In this regard, we need a communication system that integrates interpersonal communication, mass media and hybrid media. This aims to stimulate the involvement of all elements of the village in the framework of accelerating development. Referring to the development paradigm of the rural area, the research team tried to provide treatment in order to stimulate the digital literacy capabilities of Anjir Pulang Pisau village community by identifying the following problems: 1) The digital literacy competence of Anjir Village community is still low; (2) Lack of knowledge and village branding through the web; and (3) Lack of socialization of the use of ICTs as a means of empowering rural communities. The strategy applied to this community service activity is through counseling about the importance of the internet in the process of village empowerment which is then synergized with training to compile and develop a website as an administrative system and promotion of various local potentials in Anjir Village, Pulang Pisau. After the treatment ended, which involved the research team, village stakeholders and the local community, the results were obtained in the form of increasing the digital literacy competence of village operators and training participants in using the internet to create a village website as an administrative system as well as promoting various advantages and local wisdom in Anjir Village. The students are able to change themselves to be more empowered for the person, family and society.

Abstract

The activity of learning instruments development is oriented to High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) approach based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) was carried out at SMAN 6 Palangka Raya. This study aims to improve the technology-based learning system and to have a Learning Management System (LMS) through the implementation of community service that the researcher and team did through training and mentoring for the teachers at the school. The method used in this study is the Critical Events Model (CEM) research which was carried out for 44 educators at SMA Negeri 6 Palangka Raya. The results of the implementation of this community service research are: (1) teachers have sufficient knowledge and insight about the nature of preparing lesson plans in high school; (2) teachers have knowledge and skills in developing teaching materials; (3) teachers have knowledge and skills in developing student worksheets (LKPD); (4) teachers have knowledge and skills in making learning media; and (5) teachers have knowledge and skills in preparing learning assessment instruments

Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) wajib dilaksanakan siswa di sekolah agar terhindar dari berbagai penyakit menular. salah satunya adalah Cuci Tangan dengan sabun dan air bersih juga jajanan yang sehat. Siswa berpeluang besar untuk melaksanakan perilaku hidup bersih dan jajan sehat di sekolah tapi kenyataannya justru terbalik jajan di luar kantin sekolah, dengan resiko jajanan tidak terkontrol sekolah dan bisa mengancam kesehatan anak. Belum tersedianya tempat cuci tangan dan penyediaan air bersih di sekolah. Maka, perlu diadakan Komunikasi, Edukasi dan Penyuluhan baik kepada siswa maupun wali murid. Pihak sekolah bekerjasama dengan Universitas Palangka Raya bekerja sama melaksanakan penyuluhan dan edukasi berkaitan dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat bagi siswa/siswi SD Cangkang 1 sehingga terbentuk generasi sehat dan cerdas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa persoalan mendasar yang berkaitan dengan motivasi siswa dan komitmen mengajar guru terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran daring pada siswa SDN 2 Baamang Tengah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi siswa dan komitmen mengajar guru terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran daring pada siswa SDN 2 Baamang Tengah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional Ekvos Facto. Pendekatan yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pendekatan Fieled research (penelitian lapangan). Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SDN 2 Baamang Tengah sebanyak 73 orang. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuisioner dan wawancara. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui jurnal-jurnal dan literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan Uji Asumsi Klasik yaitu, melalui uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heterokedasitas, uji autokorelasi dan uji linieritas. Data diolah menggunakan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara bersama-sama motivasi siswa (X1) dan komitmen mengajar guru (X2) terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran daring di SDN 2 Baamang Tengah Kecamatan Baamang sebesar 30,5% dengan nilai f hitung 15,354>3,128 dan nilai sig.0,000<0,05. Sedangkan kontribusinya sebesar 30,5%, sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar variabel penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study used a class action research (CAR) method, which was carried out in cycle I and cycle II that consists of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection in this study used test and non-test techniques and to analyze the data was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively, with a classical completeness target of 85%, with a KKM value of 78, and a KKM value of attitude with a predicate (B). Based on the results, the learning process of compiling explanatory texts has increased in every aspect of his observations, with an average value of three observers of 79.7% not reaching 85% in the first cycle, increasing in the second cycle by 95.14%, or an increase of 10.14%. For the results of an increase in the composition of the explanatory text, compilation increased from the results of pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II by 76.3% increased in cycle I by 80% increased in cycle II with an average value of 83.3%, or with a percentage the increase between pre-cycle I to cycle I was 3.7% and between cycle I to cycle II by 15%. The results of students' responses from cycle I to cycle II experienced changes with the results of responses that were getting better or positive in cycle II related to activities learning to compose explanatory texts with Problem Based Learning (PBL) using media images of natural events of forest fires and haze in Central Kalimantan that occur every year during the dry season.

Abstract

Pendidikan di SD merupakan usah untuk mendorong perkembangan pengetahuan dan penalaran, perkembangan sikap sosial, serta penghayatan nilainilai (sikap-mental emosional-spritual). Berhasil dan tidaknya pembelajaran ditunjukkan oleh dikuasai dan diterapkannya hasil pembelajaran dalam kehidupan sehari-hari para siswa. Penerapan hasil belajar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari biasanya ditandai dengan berubahnya pola pikir dan kebiasaan menuju kearah yang sesuai dengan harapan yang para siswa telah dapatkan di dalam keseluruhan rangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran. Tuntutan pembelajaran sebagai usaha peletakan dasar belajar yang benar dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang mendorong penguatan hasil belajar siswa sangat perlu ditingkatkan agar mencapai tingkat level tinggi. Pengembangan pembelajaran berorientasi pada kamapuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kualitas lulusan.
