Abstract

The case of the Corona Virus is known through a mysterious disease that paralyzed the City of Wuhan, China. The tragedy at the end of 2019 has continued until the spread of the Corona virus has spread throughout the world. Quoted from CNN, here are some things that must be known about the development of the Corona virus, which is commonly called the Corona virus or COVID-19, until it broke out and became a pandemic. Everyone needs to maintain mental health to avoid physical complaints that arise due to stress. Because when someone is stressed, the immune system in the body will decrease. This will cause the body to be susceptible to disease. Realizing that anxiety due to COVID-19 has pervaded many communities, the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2020 released a guide for people to jointly maintain mental health. Through community service activities by directly interacting with the community while still implementing the COVID-19 protocol, socialization was carried out about the importance of maintaining mental health in the community during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Community service at RT 30 Recognize Besar, the community can know, recognize and overcome how to recognize mental health disorders including anxiety and depression, it is hoped that the community will always think optimistically in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, by implementing health protocols, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, always think positively, maintain communication with family and friends

Abstract

The increase in Covid-19 cases has now reached tens of millions of cases worldwide and in Indonesia itself in early February there has been an increase in cases to more than 270 thousand cases.The process of covid-19 transmission is quite fast, namely transmission between humans so that this pandemic cannot end because humans will always have mobility from one place to another. The protocol for oneself also needs to be built in a habit, especially when going in and out of the house because of having to work or have an urgent need. Community service activities are carried out in the form of health protocol education in and out of prevention of Covid-19 and provision of covid-19 prevention equipment which is carried out in RT 30 of KenaliBesar Village to 10 residents within the period of implementation from October to February 2021. Service activities include education, demonstrations, giving booklets, giving masks, handsanitizers and tissues. Before education, residents had high knowledge and habits as well as after education. However, some understanding and increasing better habits need to be realized by residents so that family members can avoid Covid19. Residents are quite enthusiastic and will try to familiarize themselves with health protocols in and out of the house so that family members can avoid Covid19

Abstract

The incidence of diarrhea is often experienced by children. Based on Riskesdas data, during 2018 there were 12.3% cases of diarrhea in Indonesia. Jambi province cases of incidence in children are about 8.6% based on health profile data in 2017 the coverage of handling diarrhea in children reaches 43.79% which exceeds the target for handling diarrhea, which is 10%. Diarrhea in school-age children can be caused by an unsanitary environment, snacking habits at school and rarely washing hands. Based on observations at SD 9/IV Jambi City, there were food vendors in front of the school, beside the SD there were trash bins and were large enough that they looked unclean where this could create a bad smell for the elementary school children and there were many food vendors in front of the school. Elementary school makes children often buy these foods. Therefore, the service team is interested in conducting counseling with the title of diarrhea prevention with hand washing behavior at SD 9/IV Jambi City. The service was carried out in June 2020. The service was carried out in the form of counseling. Based on the results of the service, children of primary school age experienced an increase in knowledge about diarrhea prevention and experienced an increase in hand washing. The results of this service are expected that the children of SD 9/IV Jambi City are able to prepare to wash their hands before eating or snacking while at school and even at home.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a common disease with mild to severe manifestations. Symptoms include fever, cough, and often sore throat, runny nose. ARI usually lasts more than 14 days. Puskesmas Simpang Kawat Jambi City experienced an increase in cases of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in children in August-September 2022 as many as 20-25 cases per month. The purpose of this service is to educate the prevention of children's ARI in families. The methods in this community service are lectures, demonstrations and leaflets. The time of community service was held on December 22, 2022. Participants followed the community service with enthusiasm which was attended by 14 participants and at the end of the material evaluation there were 10 participants. The results of the community service increased knowledge where 5 participants could answer 5 question items, namely the definition of ARI in children, the causes of ARI, 5 out of 9 signs of symptoms of children's ARI, 4 out of 6 prevention of ARI in children, and 4 out of 11 ARI treatments in children while at the beginning of education 3 participants knew the definition of ARI, 3 participants knew the cause of ARI from germs, 3 participants knew the symptoms of ARI were only cough and cold, 3 participants knew the prevention of ARI by wearing masks, 2 participants knew the treatment of ARI by taking cough and cold medicine. The results of this community service are expected to be applied in the form of providing information in the form of education and demonstrations on a scheduled basis so that family knowledge is increasing.
