Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of teaching materials based on local Aceh's wisdom on student learning outcomes in learning English in class VII SMP Aceh Besar. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, consisting of a control class and an experimental class. Data collection techniques using written tests. Technical data analysis with t-test. The results showed that the value of tcount = 2.664 was obtained. At the significant level α = 0.05 and dk = 35 + 35 - 2 = 68, the price of ttable = 1.669 (complete calculation in attachment 21) is obtained. By comparing tcount and ttable obtained tcount> ttable or 2.664> 1.669 means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that Aceh's local wisdom-based teaching materials are effective in improving student learning outcomes in 7th grade of Aceh Besar Junior High School.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Describe the development of multimodal literacy-based literacy teaching materials at SDS Amir Hamzah. (2) Testing the feasibility of teaching materials for literacy activities based on multimodal literacy at SDS Amir Hamzah. (3) Testing the effectiveness of teaching materials for literacy activities based on multimodal literacy at SDS Amir Hamzah. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of SDS Amir Hamzah in the 2019/2020 academic year consisted of 21 students. The instruments used are questionnaires of expert validity, student and teacher responses, and student performance rubrics using literacy activity teaching materials.  The results of this study indicate that (1) the process of developing teaching materials for literacy activities based on multimodal literacy includes five steps, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. (2) The literacy activity teaching materials of multimodal literacy-based are feasible to use with an average percentage of 88.47% and very feasible criteria. (3) The effective multimodal literacy-based literacy activity teaching materials are used with a gaincore value of 0.575.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate: (1) the difference of ability to recognize the concept of numbers between children taught by Make a Match learning model based on creativity and children taught by Make a Match learning model; (2) the difference of ability to recognize the concept of numbers between children who have high cognitive abilities and low cognitive abilities, and (3) the interaction between Make a Match learning model with children's cognitive abilities on the ability to recognize concepts. The sample in this study is 28 children in class B1 for the experimental class who are taught by Make a Match based on creativity and for the control class, class B2 consisted of 28 children who were taught by Make a Match.  They are 5-6 years old children  at Raudhatul Athfal Mutiara Bunda Banda Aceh. The results show that: (1) The ability of children who taught by Make a Match learning model based on creativity  is 44.96, it is higher than children who taught by Make A Match learning, it is  34.64, (2) The ability to recognize the number concept of children who have high cognitive abilities obtained an average value of = 46.89, while children who have low cognitive abilities obtained an average value of = 33.21,  and (3) The results show that there was no significant interaction between the use of learning and children's cognitive abilities (high and low) in influencing the ability to recognize the concept of numbers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The spatial ability of students taught using the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media is higher than students taught using the expository model. (2) The learning motivation of students taught using the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media is higher than students taught using the expository model. (3) The interaction between the PAKEM learning model assisted by tangram media with the students 'initial mathematics ability towards the students' mathematical spatial abilities, and (4) The interaction between the PAKEM learning model assisted by tangram media with the students 'initial mathematics ability towards students' learning motivation. This research method is a quasi experiment. The population of this study were all students of Class II SD IT Khalisaturrahmi Binjai totaling 40 students. The research sample was Class II A (20 students), and Class II B (20 students). The instruments used consisted of the KAM test, a test of students' mathematical spatial abilities, and a student motivation questionnaire. The analysis was carried out using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that: (1) The spatial ability of students taught with the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media was higher than students taught using the expository model. (2) The learning motivation of students taught using the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media is higher than students taught using the expository model. (3) There is no interaction between learning the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media with students' initial mathematical abilities against students' mathematical spatial abilities, and (4) There is no interaction between learning the PAKEM model assisted by tangram media with students' initial mathematical abilities on student learning motivation.
