Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused difficulties for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, including students of the Bina Amanah Cordova School of Entrepreneurship which is a free diploma 1 (D1) school. SKBAC students or students are mostly young entrepreneurs or prospective entrepreneurs who are currently experiencing difficulties such as declining sales and even being forced to close due to COVID-19. One of the causes of the decline in sales is the difficulty of communicating with consumers considering that people choose not to leave their homes for shopping. For this reason, training on marketing communication strategies is carried out so that they can develop effective marketing communication strategies in reaching their target consumers. The method in carrying out training activities is to provide counseling to students. The counselors explain some of the tools that can be used in marketing communications such as advertising, sales promotion, events and experiences, direct marketing, publications, social media marketing, and personal selling. The results of this training show that students begin to understand the importance of marketing communication, can develop appropriate marketing communication strategies and can choose the right communication tools, one of which is social media marketing.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan pada  usaha kecil mikro dan menengah  yang berada dalam binaan Yayasan Cempaka Wangi, Bintaro, Jakarta adalah untuk  memberikan wawasan  kepada para peserta terkait pemasaran produk melalui media sosial. Kurangnya pengetahuan terhadap pemasaran produk dan literasi digital menjadi masalah yang perlu dicarikan jalan keluar. Masyarakat umumnya sudah mengenal dan menggunakan media sosial, namun belum memanfaatkannya dalam pemasarkan produk. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang diberikan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Trisakti.. Kegiatan dilakukan pada bulan November 2022 diikuti oleh 26 peserta.  Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan materi yang disampaikan dianggap penting dan bermanfaat. mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang media sosial  dan akan menerapkan pada kegiatan usahanya

Abstract

Teachers, school principals, and heads of foundations will help create change toward achieving school reform. Change can start by fostering creativity, in this case, through social media. The use of social media needs to be understood from an early age. Knowledge and ability to use social media can be trained starting from junior high school level. Especially for schools that aim to produce entrepreneurs. Students can hone and channel their creative ideas through social media, such as making videos, photos, writing, etc. On YouTube, students can channel their creative ideas to make videos. Students can channel their creative ideas on Instagram by writing photos and even videos. Students can also use other applications on social media. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide educational assistance students need at the Islamic Entrepreneurship Boarding School, Global Cahaya Nubuwah Insani Foundation - Purwakarta. Education is provided in the form of business leadership counseling and the use of social media, which would not be realized without the support of teachers, school principals, and foundations.
