Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media is a common thing to be developed during the pandemic. This learning media must be able to accommodate the needs of students from the cognitive side and the side of student motivation in learning. The implementation of interesting learning is the key for teachers and students so they don't get bored in the routine of learning from home. Therefore, training on making interactive media for teachers at SD MI Banjarsari Metro Utara is very necessary. This activity uses the ABCD approach. The results of this activity are interactive learning media using ispring presenters that are ready to use and can be accessed from any mobile device using HTLM 5 technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of social skills and gender responsive students after the implementation of the Controversial Issues (CI) model in social studies learning while at the same time looking at student learning outcomes. The method of this research is the quasi-experimental method using the nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest design. The population is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur with samples of classes IV A and IV B. Data collection techniques are in the form of tests and sets of students' social skills. The results of this study indicate that the Controversial Issues (CI) model in social studies learning can improve social skills and gender-responsive student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang pentingnya sudut pandang dan penggunaan bahasa terhadap pemahaman konsep khususnya definisi-definisi dalam bidang geometri. Pengalaman yang terjadi di lapangan menunjukkan kesalahan pemahaman siswa berawal dari miskonsepsi bahasa yang digunakan untuk pemahaman awal siswa. Selain itu, perbedaan sudut pandang dalam membedakan dan mengidentifikasi bangun datar menjadi modal awal siswa dalam mengenali hubungan antar bentuk dan mempertimbangkan sifat bangun datar yang sesuai untuk tahapan perkembangan matematis siswa sesuai dengan umurnya. Oleh karena itu, dibahas pula pentingnya negosiasi makna dalam mentransfer pengetahuan dari guru kepada siswa.

Abstract

Abstract:Symbolic representation is a dominating ability in geometry. The purpose of this study was to determine the written responses of students when representing geometric objects in mathematical equations. The research used a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out on IAIN Metro students. The test instrument used is in the form of questions to measure the ability of students' symbolic representation with indicators presenting visual representations to mathematical equations or expressions representation. The test instrument is in the form of a circle image along with tangents and polar lines which then must be described by students based on what they see in the picture. Based on the research results, it was obtained three types of student symbolic representation mistakes when solving analytic geometry problemsAbstrak:Representasi simbolik merupakan kemampuan yang penting dikuasai dalam geometri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesalahan mahasiswa ketika merepresentasi objek geometri ke dalam persamaan matematika. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa IAIN Metro. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal untuk mengukur kemampuan representasi simbolik mahasiswa dengan indikator menyajikan representasi visual ke representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematis. Instrumen tes berupa gambar lingkaran beserta garis singgung dan garis kutubnya yang kemudian harus dideskripsikan oleh mahasiswa berdasarkan apa yang mereka lihat pada gambar tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga jenis kesalahan mahasiswa yang sering terjadi dalam melakukan representasi simbolik objek geometri, yaitu tidak memahami konsep, kesalahan dalam membaca data yang terdapat pada gambar, serta kesalahan melakukan operasi matematika.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the teacher's role in shaping early childhood behavior at RA AL ISLAH. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's role is in shaping the behavior of early childhood in RA AL ISLAH. The method used by researchers in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis that researchers obtained at RA AL ISLAH are that there are four teacher roles that have been carried out by teachers at RA AL ISLAH such as being an educator in being polite, teaching in the process of socializing, trainers as well behaved teachers, and mentors directing students in learning seriously and focus in class. It is hoped that the four roles played by the teacher at RA AL ISLAH can help early childhood in forming good behavior within them.
