Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether learning with a problem-posing approach could improve students' mathematical understanding skills. The method used in this research is the literature review method, which is the activity of reviewing or exploring several articles, books, and documents (both printed and electronic), as well as data sources or other information that are considered relevant to the study. The data collection technique used in this research is the documentation method. The data analysis technique used was content analysis. Content analysis is used to obtain valid inferences and can be re-examined based on the context. To maintain the immutability of the assessment process and prevent, and overcome misinformation (a human misunderstanding that can occur due to a lack of researcher's knowledge or a lack of literature writers), inter-literature checks are carried out and re-read the literature and pay attention to the supervisor comments. Based on the results of data analysis from articles that have been carried out, it can be concluded that learning using the problem-posing approach can improve students' mathematical understanding abilities, marked by the increase in learning outcomes of students who learn using the problem-posing approach than students who use conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the existence of motivation to learn and how much motivation to learn students use video learning when doing Distance Learning. This research was conducted in the Mathematics Education Study Program of UIPU FKIP in the 4A morning and 6A afternoon students, amounting to approximately 110 students through WhatsApp. The research method used in this study is qualitative research, namely descriptive analysis. Where in the collection of data used open questionnaires given to students, student interviews that make learning videos, and student observations when learning takes place. Based on the results of questionnaires, interviews, and observations that have been conducted by researchers that by using video learning material presented shows 90% of students have high motivation to learn in learning, and by using video learning also data becomes an alternative for students to learn and understand well. Keywords: Far-Long Learning, Learning Videos, and Learning MotivationABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya motivasi belajar dan seberapa besar motivasi belajar siswa menggunakan video pembelajaran saat melakukan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UMSU pada mahasiswa kelas 4A pagi dan 6A siang yang berjumlah lebih kurang berjumlah 110 orang mahasiswa melalui WhatsApp. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, yaitu analisis deksriptif. Di mana dalam pengumpulan datanya digunakan angket terbuka yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa, wawancara mahasiswa yang membuat video pembelajaran, dan observasi mahasiswa saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil angket, wawancara, dan observasi yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti bahwa dengan menggunakan video pembelajaran materi yang disampaikan menunjukkan 90% mahasiswa memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi dalam belajar, dan dengan menggunakan video pembelajaran juga data menjadi alternatif untuk mahasiswa dapat belajar dan memahami dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Jrak Jauh, Video Pembelajaran, dan Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

Abstract. The purposes of this study were to investigate: (1) Differences in mathematics conceptual understanding ability among students who are given a learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write model with students who were given direct learning model. (2) To describe the active activity of student during learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write. (3) To describe the accomplishing of student answers in learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write and direct learning. This was a semi-experimental study. The population was first grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. Then randomly selected two classes of six grade. The experimental class ware given learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write model and control classes were subjected to direct teaching model. The instruments consisted of: (1) Mathematics conceptual understanding test, and (2) Observation sheet. Data analysis was performed by analysis of covariance (ANACOVA). The results showed that (1) There are differences in mathematics conceptual understanding among students who are given a model of learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write with students who were direct instruction model. This is evident from the results ANACOVA to Fhitung = 37,457 is greater Ftabel 4,01. Constants of regression equations to model problem-based learning that is 27,027 greater than the direct learning model is 26,454. (2) The activity levels of active student has met the ideal percentage of time set. (3) the completing of students answers that are taught by learning cooperative type Think-Talk-Write model are better than students whorm are taught by using direct instruction model.Keywords: Think-Talk-Write, Mathematics Conceptual Understanding

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini terdapat permasalahan, yaitu tingkat pemahaman siswa yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Information Search terhadap kemampuan pemahaman belajar matematika siswa dan (2) Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Information Search terhadap kemampuan pemahaman belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas X SMK PAB Helvetia Medan dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas X AK 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang dan X AK 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan tes Pre-Test dan Post-test untuk mengukur nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman belajar matematika siswa. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji prasyarat: Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, serta Uji Hipotesis: Uji-T. Pada hasil analisis data untuk uji prasyarat menyatakan bahwa data pada penelitian ini berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Sedangkan pada uji hipotesis Uji-T didapat bahwa thitung = 2,8095 ˃ ttabel = 1,9908, sehingga Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti ada pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Information Search terhadap kemampuan pemahaman belajar matematika pada siswa.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know: (1) Whether the increasing of mathematical learning result of student through problem-based learning model is higher than the improvement of mathematical learning result of students who do not get problem based learning model (2) How the interaction between learning and early math  ability of student mathematical learning result. This study was a quasi-experimental study. The population of this study is the entire class of five semester mathematics education study which amounted to approximately 184 people. Randomly, two classes were selected from six classes. The experimental class is treated with problem-based learning model and control class is not given problem-based learning treatment. The instrument used is a description test. The data analysis is done by analysis of two-way variance (ANAVA). The results showed (1) improvement of student learning outcomes through problem-based learning model is higher than the increase of learning outcomes in students who are not treated problem-based learning model (control class). (2) There is no Interaction between learning and early math ability of student mathematical learning result.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dengan menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen dengan pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching, nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 83,2. Sedangkan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan model konvensional hanya mendapat nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 77,2. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran matematika pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dengan menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran matematika siswa pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dengan menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Reciprocal Teaching lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model Reciprocal Teaching, diantaranya memberikan rata-rata nilai 83,2. Sedangkan dengan metode konvensional hanya mendapat nilai rata-rata 77,2. Dengan demikian pembelajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel dengan menggunakan model Reciprocal Teaching berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan merumuskan pernyataan kedalam model matematika, memberikan alasan dengan memilih strategi yang tepat. Jadi kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model Reciprocal Teaching mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini terdapat permasalahan, yaitu tingkat kreativitas peserta didik yang masih rendah. Selain itu, masih kurang beragamnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan: Untuk mengetahui apakah strategi pembelajaran Pencarian Informasi dapat meningkatkan kreativitas pembelajaran matematika peserta didik kelas X SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan pada mata pelajaran persamaan kuadrat. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam desain eksperimen semu dengan Pre-Test and Post-Test Only Control Design menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Information Search pada kelas eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan dan sampel penelitiannya adalah peserta didik kelas X AK 1 dan X AK 2 yang berjumlah 80 peserta didik. Kelas eksperimen 1 adalah kelas X AK 1 dengan 40 peserta didik sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 adalah kelas X AK 2 dengan 40 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes Pre-Test dan Post-test. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat: uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis: Uji-T. Hasil analisis data untuk uji prasyarat menyatakan bahwa data dalam penelitian ini berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Sedangkan pada uji hipotesis uji-t diperoleh thitung = 2,8095 > ttabel = 1,9908 sehingga Ha diterima. Artinya ada pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Pencarian Informasi terhadap kemampuan kreativitas belajar matematika peserta didik kelas X SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan.ABSTRACTIn this study, there is a problem, namely the level of creativity of students is still low. In addition, there is still a lack of variety of learning media used based on technology. This study aims: To find out whether the Information Search learning strategy can increase the creativity of mathematics learning for class X students of SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan in quadratic equation subjects. This research was included in the design of pseudo-experiments with Pre-Test and Post-Test Only Control Design using Information Search learning strategies in the experimental class. The population of this study was all students of class X SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan and the research sample was students of class X AK 1 and X AK 2 which amounted to 80 students. Experimental class 1 is class X AK 1 with 40 learners while experimental class 2 is class X AK 2 with 40 learners. The data collection technique in this study used Pre-Test and Post-test tests. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses prerequisite tests: normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test: T-test. The results of data analysis for the prerequisite test stated that the data in this study were normally distributed and homogeneous. Meanwhile, in the t-test hypothesis test, a calculation = 2.8095 > ttabel = 1.9908 was obtained so that Ha was accepted. This means that there is an influence of Information Search learning strategies on the ability of creativity in learning mathematics for class X students of SMK BM PAB Helvetia Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Knisley learning model to improve mathematical problem-solving skills at MTs'Aisyiyah North Sumatra and how influential the Knisley learning model is in improving mathematical problem-solving abilities. The researcher chose a sample of two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class, each with 25 people. The method used by the researcher is the experimental method. The research instrument used in this study was a test instrument which consisted of 5 questions. This research was conducted at MTs 'Aisyiyah North Sumatra in class VIII. Based on the results obtained based on the test results of the calculation of the hypothesis test, there are results thitung = 5.46 at a significant level = 0.005 and dk = n1 + n2 - 2 = 25 +25-2 = 48, then obtained ttable = 1.677. Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test, it is obtained that thitung > ttable = 5.46 > 1.677, which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the design for developing Student Worksheets on the subject of relations and functions for junior high school students. This research model is the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation, but in this study the researchers limited it only to the development stage. (Development). The subjects of this study were six experts consisting of two mathematics education lecturers and one mathematics teacher as a material expert as well as two mathematics education lecturers and one mathematics teacher as a media expert. The research instrument used was a learning media questionnaire. Consists of a questionnaire of material experts and media experts. Based on data analysis, the average value obtained by material experts is 4.3 and media experts is 4.4. From these results, it can be stated that the mathematics learning media meets the validity requirements of the learning media with an overall average value of 4.3 including in the Very Good category. Thus, from the validation results it can be stated that the LKPD developed meets the validity requirements and is declare eligible
