Abstract

Menopause merupakan proses fisiologis Wanita, namun dengan terapi Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) menimbulkan efek endometriosis dan tromboemboli vena. Umbi ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L merupakan tumbuhan dengan antosianin. Antosianin mampu meningkatkan ketebalan miometrium dan jumlah kelenjar endometrium. Tujuan penelitian: penelitian ini membuktikan ekstrak etanol umbi ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L) mampu meningkatkan ketebalan miometrium dan jumlah kelenjar endometrium uterus. Metoda penelitian: peneliaian dilakukan dengan rancangan penelitian True Experimental-Post Test Only Control Group Design dengan 28 ekor tikus betina Wistar dibagi 4 kelompok (@7 ekor tikus): kelompok kontrol (P0), esktrak etanol umbi ubi jalar ungu dosis 10 mg/kgBB (P1), 30 mg/kgBB (P2), dan 100 mg/kgBB (P3) diberikan selama 30 hari melalui sonde, hari ke 30 dilakukan pengangkatan uterus dan dan melihat ketebalan miometrium dan jumlah kelenjar endometrium uterus diamati secara histologi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Rerata ketebalan miometrium uterus antar kelompok perlakuan berbeda secara statistik (signifikansi p=0,000). Ketebalan miometrium paling tinggi pada kelompok P3. Rerata jumlah kelenjar endometrium antar kelompok perlakuan berbeda secara statistik (signifikan dengan p=0,000) dengan jumlah kelenjar endometrium yang paling tinggi pada kelompok P3. Kesimpulan: hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan ekstrak etanol umbi ubi jalar ungu dapat meningkatkan ketebalan miometrium dan jumlah kelenjar endometrium uterus tikus putih yang diovariektomi. Abstract

Besides functioning as a place to study, schools are also at risk as a place for disease transmission if not managed properly. Primary school age children are vulnerable to infectious or non-communicable diseases such as accidents when playing. Therefore, the inculcation of values ​​of healthy and clean living behavior from an early age is very important to avoid various disease risks, one of which is through the School Health Efforts (UKS) approach. The partner in this service is the Trustee of UKS in SDN 5 Sumerta. So far the partners have never received any explanation regarding the implementation of the UKS. The method that will be used is focus group discussion (FGD), interactive dialogue, training methods and mentoring. FGD aims to find problems faced by partners. Training and mentoring are carried out on an ongoing basis accompanied by monitoring and evaluation which is carried out regularly every month to partners in accordance with the form that has been prepared and carried out by the service team. This program has been implemented well judged by the implementation of activities on time, good involvement and cooperation on the part of SDN 5 Sumerta.

Abstract

Desa Bukian merupakan salah satu desa unggul yang berada di Kecamatan Payangan, Bali yang didukung oleh iklim, suhu, dan luas wilayah yang cocok untuk pertanian dan perkebunan. Desa ini memiliki suatu kelompok masyarakat yang giat dalam mensosialisasikan dan mempraktikkan pengolahan tanaman obat tradisional, yaitu Kelompok TOGA Paras Usadha. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberdayakan kelompok tersebut dalam memanfaatkan bahan alam untuk kesehatan dengan penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan yang diberikan berupa focus group discussion, pemaparan materi, dan demonstrasi video mengenai jalur penemuan bahan alam di Indonesia, tahap pembuatan simplisia, hingga aspek hygiene dan sanitasi yang perlu diperhatikan dalam produksi herbal. Evaluasi dilakukan dalam melihat keberhasilan kegiatan berupa pemberian kuesioner untuk menilai pengetahuan dan sikap peserta kegiatan setelah diberikan materi. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 15 peserta kegiatan yang terdiri dari perangkat desa dan anggota Kelompok TOGA Paras Usadha. Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung baik dan lancar dengan hasil evaluasi sesuai ekspektasi. Pembinaan kepada kelompok ini diharapkan untuk terus berlanjut kedepannya.

Abstract

Preventing COVID19 transmission in community is currently important. As one of villages located close to Bali’s tourism centre, Bukian village is expected to be more vigilant in preventing the spread of COVID19. However, the public knowledge about COVID19 was low, the people was careless with pandemic situation, and public socialization was limited, making the effort in preventing the transmission of the disease at that time had not run optimally. This community empowerment activities lasted for 1 month in the form of providing education with online methods and intensive mentoring of one student, one participant, targeting families and members of the COVID19 task force, with a sum of 10 students and 10 participants. All activities went well and enthusiasm of participants was quite good. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were given to evaluate the increase in the knowledge and attitudes of the participants, then analyzed by wilcoxon test and there was a significant increase in knowledge and attitude of participants (p value <0,05).

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the ways and objectives of the use of turmeric by Balinese, as well as the phytochemical content and antioxidant capacity of turmeric extract which is traditionally processed in Bali. Research methods: The method and purpose of utilizing turmeric were obtained through observation and interviews with 900 Balinese respondents. Quantitative phytochemical tests include starch, protein, flavonoid, tannin, phenol and vitamin C levels and qualitatively for the presence of triterpenes, steroids, alkaloids, and saponins. Antioxidant capacity was measured using the DPPH method. Findings: Through this research, we found there were only 36.8% of respondents had ever used turmeric as a traditional medicine. Utilization of turmeric was mostly in the form of loloh or traditional drinks. Phytochemical test results showed turmeric extract had 67.38% starch, 3.42% protein, 2709.39 mg/100 gr flavonoids, tannins 291.64 mg/100gr, phenol 1584.04 mg/100 gr, and vitamin C 0.06 mg/100gr. Qualitatively, turmeric extract contained triterpenes, alkaloids, and saponins, but did not contain steroids. The antioxidant capacity of turmeric extract was 70.9 mg/L GAEAC. Implications: Turmeric extract is a traditional medicine made from nature that is most commonly used by Balinese and very potential to be developed as an antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, or other benefits that still need further investigation.
