Abstract

Tujuan penelitian, yaitu: 1) Mengetahui karakteristik Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sebelas Maret 2) Mengetahui kelayakan Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sebelas Maret, 3) Mengetahui efektivitas Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sebelas Maret.Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang telah dimodifikasi dari Borg dan Gall (1983). Sampel penelitian pengembangan meliputi: 1) Sampel uji coba produk awal sejumlah 3 validator ahli dan 2 dosen sebagai praktisi, 2) Sampel uji coba lapangan terbatas sejumlah 15 mahasiswa, dan 3) Sampel uji lapangan operasional sejumlah 41 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan angket, lembar observasi, kuisioner, wawancara, dan tes. Uji lapangan operasional menggunakan One Group Pretest- Posttest Design. Data kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar kognitif diuji menggunakan uji T-Test (Paired Samples T-Test) dan dihitung dengan N-gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Kelayakan Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa setelah dilakukannya uji coba produk awal, uji coba lapangan terbatas, dan uji lapangan operasional didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 3,49 dengan persentase 87,17% dikategorikan ˝baik˝, 2) Efektifitas Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa didapatkan nilai N-gain dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 0,75 dikategorikan ˝tinggi˝ dan hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 0,69 dikategorikan ˝sedang˝ dengan hasil signifikansi sebesar p=0,000

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian, yaitu: 1) Mengetahui kelayakan Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sebelas Maret, 2) Mengetahui efektivitas Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sebelas Maret.Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang telah dimodifikasi dari Borg dan Gall (1983). Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Kelayakan Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa setelah dilakukannya uji coba produk awal, uji coba lapangan terbatas, dan uji lapangan operasional didapatkan rata-rata sebesar 3,49 dengan persentase 87,17% dikategorikan ˝baik˝, 2) Efektifitas Modul Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi populasi hewan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa didapatkan nilai N-gain dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 0,75 dikategorikan ˝tinggi˝ dan hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 0,69 dikategorikan ˝sedang˝ dengan hasil signifikansi sebesar p=0,000

Abstract

The objectives of this research was (1) to know effectiveness of the use of vertical systematic practice module to improve the learning outcomes of vertebrate systematic practice. This research was a quantitative description of research conducted in Biology Education Department of FKIP UMS. The population in this research was all students of Biology Education who took practice of Vertebrate Systematics in the academic year of 2016/2017. The sample used in this research was the students of Biology Education semester VI class B who took the practice of Vertebrata Systematics in the academic year of 2016/2017. Data analysis techniques in this study used One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis used non parametric statistic with Wilcoxon test. After the data were tested with non parametric statistic then tested its effectiveness to know the improvement of student learning result using normalized gain score technique. The results of this study indicated that the module practice vertebrate systematic classis amphibia ˝Effective˝ used as teaching materials, module effectiveness was based on the results of N-gain calculation in terms of the increase of cognitive test results of 0.43 are categorized ˝moderate˝.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to inventarize (1) an inventory species of Spermatophyte and (2) determine theindex of diversity and dominance of Spermatophyte species of hills Tlogodlingo area. This study is a descriptiveeksplorasif study conducted Tlogodlingo in Tawangmangu District of Karanganyar. The population in thisstudy is all types of plants in the hills Tlogodlingo. Sample in this research is type spermatophyta in hilly ofTlogodlingo. Determination of place as the location of sampling is done by purposive sampling. Sampling datais taken on each observation using method of quadratic sampling. The results showed that there are 12 speciesof plants Spermatophyta, namely Acacia decurrens, Ficus firtulosa, Melastoma malabathricum, Eupatoriumodoratum, Ageratum conyzoides, Imperata cyliandrica, Lantana camara, Polygala paniculata, Eupatoriumriparium, Borreria alata, Emilia sonchifolia, and Synedrella nodiflora. The value of diversity index ofSpermatophytes obtained in is 0.686 that means the diversity is low at hilly Tlogodlingo. The highestdominance index was Imperata cyliandrica and the lowest dominance index was Synedrella nodiflora..

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar biologi dengan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi peer lessons pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Data hasil belajar biologi diambil dengan menggunakan observasi baik lembar penilaian maupun catatan lapangan, tes, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data dari penelitian ini dengan cara deskriftif kualitatif, yaitu dengan cara menganalisis data dari hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I sampai siklus III dengan mencari rata-rata hasil belajar dan standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Dari pembahasan dapat dinyatakan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siklus III lebih tinggi dari siklus I dan siklus II, baik dilihat dari kognitif (81,15>71,7>64,9) maupun afektif (21,65>18,65>17,075). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan strategi peer lesson dalam pembelajaran biologi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Masaran.

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan proses belajar dan mengajar. Pembelajaran dilakukan dua arah dari mahasiswa dan dosen. Selama pandemik covid pembelajaran berlaku sistem daring, kemudian seiring waktu pembelajaran dikembangkan dalam model blended leraning. Model pembelajaran Blended Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang inovatif yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembelajaran di masa pandemi. Model Blanded Learning juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembelajaran praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Blanded Learning terhadap nilai praktikum mahasiswa pada praktikum ekologi hewan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes kemampuan praktikum, observasi keaktifan mahasiswa, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data lembar observasi dan teknik analisis data tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Blended Learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil rata-rata nilai praktikum mahasiswa yaitu sebelumnya (pembelajaran daring) yaitu 82,25 dan sesudah dilakukannya pembelajaran dengan Blended Learning yaitu 88,74.

Abstract

Garbage is a big problem that is difficult to solve in a short time. Waste from community activities is produced every day in large quantities, but public awareness in waste management is still lacking. Therefore, it is necessary to increase public awareness to be able to procsee waste. Good waste management can support the creation of a clean and healthy environment. One of the waste management that can be done by the community and in collaboration with the village government is the management of inorganic waste into ecobricks. Ecobricks is a collection of inorganic waste that is put in bottles and reused as material for building blocks and can be utilized for other functions. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization and how to manage inorganic waste into ecobricks. This community service activity was carried out with resindents of margosanten Helmlet, Sepanjang Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. The benefit value of this activity is additional insight on the management of inorganic waste into ecobricks. The implementation method is carried out by socializing and demonstrating and continuing with the stages of making ecobricks until thye become products that are beneficial to the community. At the end of the activity the products produced are shoe racks, small chairs and plant pots. This activity hamlet to produce products from inorganic waste.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan sosialisasi kepada Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA Guru-guru MTsN se Kabupaten Boyolali mengenai pengenalan penerapan stategi kepada peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan cara mengatasi permasalahan lingkungan juga melibatkan pengetahuan dengan strategi Stimulus Environment Problem Solving (SEPS) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS. Kegiatan ini diikuti sebanyak 21 peserta dan dilaksanakan secara online, pemaparan materi dengan  menggunakan media zoom dan pembuatan latihan lembar kerja dilaksanakan melalui aplikasi scoology. Hasil yang didapat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Model Stimulus Environment Problem Solving (SEPS) dapat dipahami dan diaplikasikan oleh peserta pelatihan dengan mudah karena dipraktekkan langsung dilapangan selain itu  metode ini dapat diterapkan pada siswa agar lebih memahami dan membantu proses pembelajaran. Sosialisasi ini tidak hanya memberikan pengenalan mengenai Model Stimulus Environment Problem Solving (SEPS) namun juga dapat digunakan sebagai solusi alternatif model pembelajaran.

Abstract

The world community has been hit hard by the covid-19 outbreak since 2 years ago until now there are still confirmed cases with a new variant. This also has an impact on the world of education, so that all learning implementers compete to create innovative learning media, easy to apply using mobile phones both online and offline in supporting the process and understanding of student material. The research objective is to develop an android-based learning media application. The development method is using the waterfall process model which is divided into six stages, namely: communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. The assessment aspect observed in the development of learning media is how the media is developed and the teaching materials contained in it. The results of the assessment through filling out instruments on learning media were developed using a scale of 4 from various aspects of observation by experts in their fields, namely: 1) Media expert validators, namely: (a) software engineering aspects 3.75; (b) aspects of learning design 3.71; and (c) visual communication aspect 3.77; 2) Validators of material experts and teachers, namely: (a) aspects of learning objectives 4; (b) aspects of learning materials 3.95; (c) aspects of learning methods 3.5; (d) aspects of learning resources 3.5; and (e) aspects of learning activities 3.75. From this assessment, it can be concluded that the developed learning media has a good predicate and is suitable for use in the learning process

Abstract

Learning must continue to run in harmony even though it is still in a state of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 has not yet subsided, making all universities rack their brains to continue to provide educational services during the pandemic. One of them was carried out in the Biology Education study program at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, namely by implementing online learning using the Schoology application. Practical courses do not have to be fully implemented offline but can also be applied using online methods with clear implementation instructions from the lecturer. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of Schoology on the learning outcomes of semester 1 students in the Environmental Biology practicum course which is carried out online due to the Covid-19 pandemic still not abating. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study design, where student learning outcomes are taken from the results of student work carried out and reported to Schoology. Determination in taking research subjects using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique is in the form of student assignments, while the validity of the data uses triangulation of data sources in the form of archives, written documents, pictures, and photos. The data analysis technique is using the following methods: 1) Grouping data based on learning outcomes, 2) presenting in the form of narrative text, pictures, and tables, and 3) concluding from the whole learning process. From the research process, it was found that the average student learning outcomes were 78.35% from four times the implementation of the lecture process using Schoology
