Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan penyakit infeksi menular karena bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Sampai saat ini, penyakit TB masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat di dunia dan keberadannya sering dikaitkan dengan masalah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor lingkungan fisik rumah, khususnya pada ruang tidur dan ruang keluarga yang berhubungan dengan kasus baru TB paru BTA positif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi. Desain pada penelitian ini adalah case control, dengan perbandingan kasus:kontrol adalah 1:2. Sebanyak 15 orang dari kelompok kasus diambil dari SITT (Sistem Informasi Tuberkulosis Terpadu) Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi dan dipilih menggunakan metode simple random sampling, sedangkan sebanyak 30 orang kelompok kontrol merupakan tetangga kelompok kasus yang matching bedasarkan jenis kelamin. Variabel terikat, yakni kasus baru TB paru BTA positif di wilayah kerja Puseksmas Songgon Banyuwangi dan variabel bebas meliputi ventilasi, suhu, kelembaban, dan pencahayaan di ruang tidur dan keluarga. Hasil analisis chi square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pencahayaan di ruang tidur (OR=4,667; 95%CI=1,237-17,600; p=0,043) dan ruang keluarga (OR=4,571; 95%CI=1,182-17,678; p=0,039) dengan kasus baru TB paru BTA positif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penyadaran kepada masyarakat, khususnya penderita TB paru, oleh tenaga kesehatan Pukesmas Songgon Banyuwangi tentang pentingnya menjaga lingkungan rumah agar tetap sehat, salah satunya dengan membiarkan udara berganti dan sinar matahari dapat masuk ke dalam rumah dengan membuka jendela di setiap ruangan rumah pada pagi hari, serta mengganti genteng batu-bata dengan genteng kaca. Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infectious disease due to the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Until now, TB disease is still one of the world's health problems and its existence is often linked to environmental problems. This study aims to analyze the physical environmental factors of the house, especially in the bedroom and familiy room associated with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis new cases in the work area of ​​Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi. The design of this research is case control, with the comparison of case:control is 1: 2. A total of 15 people from the case group were taken from SITT (Integrated Tuberculosis Information System) Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi and selected using simple random sampling method, while 30 control group were neighbors of case group matching based on gender. Dependent variables is new cases of smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of ​​Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi and independent variables include ventilation, temperature, humidity, and lighting in bedroom and famiy room. The result of chi square analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between bedroom lighting (OR=4,667; 95%CI=1,237-17,600; p=0,043) and family room lighting (OR=4,571; 95%CI=1,182-17,678; p=0,039) with a new case of smear positive pulmonary TB in the work area of Puskesmas Songgon Banyuwangi. Therefore, the need for awareness to the community, especially the people with pulmonary tuberculosis, by health personnel Pukesmas Songgon Banyuwangi about the importance of keeping the home environment to stay healthy, one of them by allowing air to change and sunlight can enter the house by opening the window in every room house in the morning, and replace the brick tile with glass tile. Abstract

Abstract. Dengue fever (DHF) is a significant public health problem in Surabaya City, posing challenges in prevention efforts. This study aims to explore the potential of the Sayang Warga application in increasing the role of community cadres in DHF prevention efforts. The purpose of this Community Service is to educate about Dengue Fever Prevention and the Sayang Warga application Kader Surabaya Hebat mothers to increase the knowledge of Kader Surabaya Hebat mothers to prevent Dengue Fever.. The results of this study The results of the questionnaire showed 70.2% of participants said that the theme taken was very good, 26.67% stated that it was good and 2.98% stated that it was sufficient. This shows that the theme taken is exciting and liked by the participants. Evaluation is also carried out on the participants of the service activities by doing the preetest and postest carried out on the theme taken. The pretest results showed an average score of 75 and the posttest results with an average score of 100. Community service at the Sawahan Health Center, Sawahan Subdistrict, Surabaya City is very beneficial for Surabaya Hebat Cadres because it can increase their knowledge about dengue hemorrhagic fever and the Dear Citizen Application.

Abstract

Stunting in children under five is a global health problem that can be influenced by various factors, including inadequate home sanitation. Stunting in children can be chronic from environmental sanitation problems, infectious diseases, and lack of food consumption. The contribution of poor home environmental sanitation to the problem of stunting can be seen from the growth of disease-causing microorganisms that can cause infections in the body, so that children experience growth failure. Pakis Village, as the partner area of this program, is part of the working area of Puskesmas Pakis Surabaya. Stunting in Pakis Village is still a serious problem because it is one of the villages with a high incidence of stunting in Surabaya City in 2022. This community service activity contributes to further understanding of the description of home sanitation and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Community service is carried out in the form of home environmental sanitation counseling in supporting the elimination of stunting in infants and toddlers. Participants in the Community Service counseling were 26 participants out of 30 pre-test average results of participants who knew about home environmental sanitation which was 67.63 then after counseling / education related to home environmental sanitation there was an increase of 20.38% or the average post test score was 81.41. Cooperation between the government, community, and harvesters is needed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Background: Allergic rhinitis is defined clinically as a symptom of nasal hypersensitivity triggered by a certain allergen present in the environment. The prevalence of allergic rhinitis has increased over the past 5 years. Indoor air quality is influenced by the number of pollutants according to the place, climate, culture, local ambient air, characteristics of buildings and indoor activities. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between family smoking habits and room perfume use with complaints of allergic rhinitis in children aged 13-14 years in Rungkut District, Surabaya City. Methods: This research method was quantitative research with an analytical type of observational research with a cross-sectional research design. The sample size in this study was 94 children aged 13-14 years and the sample was taken using systematic random sampling. Data collection by conducting interviews, observations and measurements directly. The test used is chi-square Results: There was a relationship between family smoking habits and complaints of allergic rhinitis in children (p = 0.000) and there was a relationship between the use of room perfume and complaints of rhinitis in children (p = 0.029). Conclusion: Family smoking habits and the use of room perfume have a significant relationship with complaints of allergic rhinitis in children. Families are encouraged to eliminate smoking and minimize the use of room perfume in order to minimize risk factors for complaints of allergic rhinitis in children.
