Abstract

The problem in this research is how the attitude of Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy towards the hadith daif and what are the implications of the inclusion of the hadith in the Tafsir An-Nur. The objectives to be achieved in this research are: (1) to find out how Hasbi Ash- Shiddieqy's attitude towards the hadith daif. (2) to trace whether the daif hadith in Tafsir An-Nur was used as evidence in interpreting a verse, especially verses of law. (3) to find out the implications of the inclusion of the daif hadith in the Tafsir An-Nur. This research is in the style of library research, while the primary data source is Tafsir An-Nur by Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy and supporting sources in the form of tafsir books and other hadiths. The method used is literature and documentary studies, while the data analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study reveal several findings about the consistency of Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy regarding the authenticity of hadith, namely: (1) Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy's attitude towards daif hadith, seen Hasbi's inconsistency between theory and practice of using daif hadith. (2) The daif traditions in An-Nur's interpretation are generally not used as evidence in interpreting a verse, especially law verses, because the traditions are presented only as explaining asbabul nuzul ayat, additional information in interpreting a verse. (3) The implication of the inclusion of daif hadith in An-Nur's interpretation has several forms, namely Hasbi uses the dha'if traditions in An-Nur's Tafsir, even uses mawdhu 'hadiths or narrations that have mawdhu characteristics, then regarding how to quote the hadith which Without explaining the mukharij or the companions who narrated the hadith, to make matters worse Hasbi included the hadith with the Indonesian editorial staff, even without including the mukharij or the narrators of the hadith, the inconsistency also for Hasbi was the use of hadith source books not from hadith books. Therefore, it is necessary to refill the hadiths in the Tafsir An-Nur book.

Abstract

This article aims to present the formulation of the hadith authenticity method formulated by Jonathan A. C. Brown in his theory named the Three-Tiered Method. This investigation is carried out through three steps; First, demands for a source of hadith, second, evaluates the reliability of that source, third, seeks corroboration for the hadith. Brown also argues that the third step is considered pivotal in hadith criticism. The more sources of the report, the more credible the report is. In the theory of historical evaluation of western scholar, such belief is called the criterion of multiple attestation. Briefly, quantity changes lead to quality changes. Therefore, the author's reflection on the issue relating to the hadith about the suggestion to wear a white dress (which has been criticise using this theory) proves this hadith to be authentic. Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mempresentasikan formulasi metode autentisitas hadis yang dirumuskan oleh Jonathan A. C. Brown melalui teorinya Three Tiered Method. Investigasi hadis diaplikasikan dalam tiga langkah. Pertama, tuntutan adanya sumber hadis. Kedua, mengevaluasi keterpercayaan sumber hadis. Ketiga, mencari penguat sebuah hadis. Brown berpendapat bahwa langkah ketiga dianggap cukup krusial dalam kritik hadis. Semakin banyak sumber laporan maka akan muncul kepercayaan yang tinggi terhadap laporan tersebut. Dalam evaluasi historis versi Sarjana Barat, hal ini disebut kriteria pengesahan berganda (the criterion of multiple attestation). Pendek kata, kuantitas akan berubah menuju kualitas. Refleksi penulis dalam kasus hadis tentang anjuran berpakaian putih menggunakan teori tersebut membuktikan bahwa hadis ini otentik

Abstract

Seyogyanya para muballigh menyampaikan ceramah berdasarkan al-Quran dan Hadis. Hadis-hadis yang disampaikan hendaknya bersumber dari kitab-kitab yang akurat yakni mashdar al-ashliy kitab-kitab hadis, dengan menyebutkan sanad dan mukharrij hadis dan menjelaskan kualitas hadis yang disampaikan tersebut. Muballigh Kota Padang, umumnya tidak menyebutkan sumber pengutipan hadis yang disampaikannya, tidak menyebutkan sanad dan mukharrij hadis, tidak menyebutkan kualitas hadis bahkan masih ada yang menyampaikan hadis yang tidak relevan dengan materi ceramah yang disampaikannya.

Abstract

Fiqh al-hadis merupakan aspek  kajian  hadis yang sangat penting untuk memahami pesan-pesan Rasul secara tepat dan benar. Adakalanya sunnah/hadis dapat dipahami langsung dari makna zahirnya, namun adakalanya pema­haman yang tepat dan benar baru didapatkan setelah menggunakan metode-metode dan pendekatan-pendekatan  tertentu. Dalam kajian fiqh al-hadis ada beberapa hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan, antara lain: Memahami hadis berdasarkan Isyarat al-Qur’an, me­mahami hadis-hadis mukhltalif, tanawwu’ ibadah, kajian subtantif filosofis serta memahami sarana yang tujuan penyampaian suatu hadis.

Abstract

Soearti Magazine is a forum for polemic between Tarbiyah Islamiyah and those who attacked it. They answered the polemics that occurred at that time by including the Prophet's traditions, translations, names of narrators, and their understanding.However, the hadiths they wrote were only at the level of friends, some were not even mentioned, there was an error in writing the mind and not all hadiths that were explained in their veracity.This study aims to trace honesty and analyze the understanding of the hadiths contained in Soearti magazine on the theme of Reading al-Fatihah for the general public. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method.From the results of this study, the Hadith that discusses reading al-Fatihah for the congregation in Soearti magazine, there are 7 hadiths consisting of 5 authentic quality hadiths and 2 dha'if quality hadiths, so that all of these traditions can be used as evidence and put into practice.The hadiths in Soearti Magazine are understood using textual and contextual methods of understanding but tend to use textual methods. Meanwhile, the style of understanding in the Hadith is traditional.

Abstract

This research is a form of living hadith study that discusses the acculturation of local culture and religion in implementing the lek-lekan tradition in the Sei Kepayang community, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants were the government, ulama, community leaders, event organizers and the Sei Kepayang community in general. The results of this study showed the tradition of lek-lek-an carried out at the birth of a baby by arranging an event at the place of the baby's parents. The tradition of lek-lekan is completed with an aqeeqah ceremony for the baby. The primary foundation for the community in carrying out the tradition of lek-lekan is to pass down the traditions of the local community continuously and the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad related to the aqeeqah of a newborn child.

Abstract

There were differences of attitudes taken by the caliphs Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar bin al-Khattab in the narration of the hadith, as compared to those carried by the Prophet Muhammad. In his time, the Prophet (SAS) invited and motivated the Companions to narrate the hadith to others. But the caliphs Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar bin al-Khattab carried out a different policy between the obligations of the Companions to tighten the narrations of the traditions of the Prophet SAW or called taqlid al-riwayah. The paper aims to discuss taqlid al-riwayah policy based on background, forms, and objectives. They were related to the policy and bring up the positive and negative of the application of the policy to the development of hadith in the aftermath. The results of the study found that there were political and social factors that cause policies to be taken. They oppose politics, oppose false prophets, the number of people who apostatize, and do not run Islamic law with kaffah, exchanging friends who gave false traditions. The taqlil al-riwayah policy takes various forms. They are to reduce narration, strictness (tatsabbut) in accepting competition, punishing and renewing friends who had multiply the narration of traditions. The traditions of the Prophet Muhammad were from mistakes and falsification. Besides, this policy also opposes the development of traditions, both regarding the positive, preserved, authenticity and quality of the traditions of the Prophet SAW and also does not violate false traditions (maudhu ') among Muslims. It is also free of negative impacts. According to part of the distribution and the list of traditions, the Prophet (PBUH), the lively discussion of hadith meanings and the delay in the process of codifying the traditions of the Prophet PBUH.

Abstract

Muhammad Nāsir ad-Dīn al-Albānī merupakan salah satu sarjana hadis yang dianggap kontroversial. Banyak ulama yang mengatakan bahwa penilaian-penilaiannya terhadap hadis tidak dapat diperpegangi. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya kontradiksi penilaian al-Albānī dalam banyak hadis. Dalam satu kasus ditemukan ia men-da’īf-kan suatu hadis, namun dalam karyanya yang lain hadis itu dinilainya hasan, atau bahkan sahīh, atau sebaliknya. Artikel ini berupaya mengungkap bagaimana konsistensi al-Albānī dalam kritik hadis, khususnya hadis-hadis yang telah direvisi penilaiannya oleh al-Albānī dari hadis yang awalnya ia hukumi dengan status da’īf kemudian diralat menjadi sahīh dalam karyanya Daī’f al-Jāmi’. Ditemukan bahwa dalam menerapkan konsep tashīh terhadap hadis-hadis yang telah di-da’īf -kan, tampaknya ia kurang konsisten. Berdasarkan penelitian ditemukan kasus al-Albānī men-sahīh-kan hadis yang telah dihukuminya dengan status da’īf jiddan (hadis matrūk dan hadis mungkar), dan hal itu bertentangan dengan metodenya yang menyatakan bahwa hadis da’īf tidak dapat dinaikkan derajatnya jika tingkat ke-da’īf -annya berat meskipun ditemukan riwayat-riwayat lain sebagai pendukung.

Abstract

In the context of fiqh, the provisions of ḥudūd have been agreeable in terms of the actions and punishments. However, some of them are not mentioned in Aceh Qanun No. 6/2014 on Jinayat (Criminal) Law, such as stoning, death sentence, and hand amputation. These three types of punishment were harshly debated during the formulation of the qanun and subsequently abolished. Using the historical legal approach, this study finds out there were some issues that came up during the formulation process. First, the assessment of the local government and people’s readiness to implement those punishments has not been sufficient. Second, stoning, the death penalty, and hand cutting are not in accordance with the Indonesian procedural law. Third, the qanun formulation was affected by the disparity of Islamic legal scholars’ opinions regarding the mentioned penalties. Forth, the discussants in the forum believed that the implementation of Islamic criminal law needs phasing (tadarruj).   AbstrakDalam konteks fikih, ketentuan hudud telah disepakati baik jenis perbuatannya maupun sanksi-sanksinya. Akan tetapi, tidak semuanya tercantum sebagai materi hudud dalam Qanun Aceh No. 6/2014 tentang Hukum Jinayat, seperti hukuman rajam, hukuman mati dan hukuman potong tangan. Ketiga jenis hukuman ini diperdebatkan dengan sengit selama pembahasan Qanun dan akhirnya ditiadakan. Melalui pendekatan sejarah hukum, diketahui setidaknya ada beberapa faktor problematik yang mewarnai perumusan Qanun Aceh No. 6/2014 tentang Hukum Jinayat. Pertama, adanya penilaian internal tentang kesiapan pemerintah dan masyarakat yang belum maksimal untuk melaksanakan hukuman-hukuman itu. Kedua, materi rajam, hukuman mati bagi pelaku riddah dan potong tangan yang tidak sejalan dengan hukum acara yang telah ada sebelumnya. Ketiga, adanya pengaruh perbedaan pendapat ulama (disparitas) dalam konteks fikih tentang hukuman-hukuman itu dalam proses perumusan qanun. Keempat, adanya keyakinan para pembahas bahwa penegakan hukum pidana Islam dalam Qanun Aceh memerlukan pentahapan (tadarruj).

Abstract

The dhaif hadith is part of the lowest quality classification of hadith, because it has narrators who are not tsiqah or even contradicted by more tsiqah narrators. This study aims to analyze the consistency of Mahmud Yunus in not arguing with the dhaif hadith. The method in this research is descriptive-qualitative type in library research. The results of this study, namely Mahmud Yunus was very consistent in his argument that he did not use the dhaif hadith. This is evidenced by the hadiths contained in the discussion of his book and as evidence, the author traces the hadiths related to the based on the hadith of treating with alcohol, menstruating women enter the mosque and dissect corpses. All the hadiths contained in the discussion are of maqbul quality and none of the dhaif hadiths are used as evidence.
