Abstract

AbstractBackground: In the last few decades the trend of work has shifted from normal delivery to Sectio Caesarea (SC), this is evidenced by the increasing incidence of CS deliveries in various countries. cesarean delivery without medical indications is one of the biggest factors causing cesarean delivery, this is due to the fear of normal labor pain. However, in developing countries, women still see a lot of interest in being able to be born normally, so the purpose of this study is to find out preferences and research experiences in choosing a normal delivery care model. Methods: The method used is a qualitative research by exploring, with the population is postpartum mothers who are in the target area of the Tuban Public Health Center and the Semanding Health Center, Tuban, East Java. The total respondents in this study were 8 respondents, the results of interviews with 8 respondents were then analyzed by transcribing verbatim, making general points, noting ideas that arise, and indexing or coding. Results: 1) preference for places of occurrence, geographical and economic factors, 2) preference in choosing a model that is carried out by a fast recovery process, and feeling like a real mother. 3) The preference for stress helpers is influenced by experiences from other families. Conclusion Preferences for nursing care models can affect the mother's decision making in choosing a nursing care model that can have an impact on her delivery experience

Abstract

AbstractBackground: The practice of breastfeeding in Indonesia is not 100% carried out. The data stated that in 2017 children aged <6 months who were exclusively breastfed were around 52%. This figure is considered low and below the national target (80%). One of the important key holders of successful breastfeeding is the mother's readiness to breastfeed. Mothers can prepare starting from knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding. In order to be able to carry out mature exclusive breastfeeding, preparation for lactation since pregnancy is an important factor. Considering that the mother's readiness is still low, it is important to conduct research on this readiness factor. This study aims to analyze the effect of mother's readiness on breastfeeding success. Methods: This research uses analytical observational with cross sectional approach. The sample used was 100 babies according to the specified criteria. The data collection technique was done by filling out online questionnaires. The data were then analyzed using the Chi Square test. Results:  This study shows the effect of mothers readiness with breastfeeding success which obtained a p value of 0.045. the results of the chi square test showed that mother’s readiness = 0.045 (α < 0,05), mother’s knowledge = 0.005 (α < 0,05) and lactation preparation = 0.19 (α < 0,05). Conclusion: These data indicate that there is an influence of mother's readiness on breastfeeding success.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period of transition of human bodily, cognitive, and emotional improvement and is a time of formation of sexual mind and experiments. One manner to channel those instincts is by using courting. Awareness of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) affects adolescent dating behavior. This study targets to research the correlation between adolescent awareness of STIs with adolescent dating behavior. Methods: This research was observational analytics with a cross-sectional study design. The number of samples was 124 young adults in line with the inclusion criteria which were young men and women in high school for the academic year of 2021/2021, willing to be respondents, and agreed on the informed consent. The sampling method was carried out by purposive sampling. The independent variable in this research was knowledge of sexually transmitted infections, whilst the dependent variable was dating behavior. The collected information has been tested through Fisher Exact Test statistical test at a significant degree of α = 0.05 to decide the level of significance. Results: The outcomes confirmed that almost all respondents, particularly 98 (79%) had proper information of STIs, as many as 26 (21%) had enough information of STIs, and none of the adolescents had terrible knowledge of STIs. As many as 115 (92.7%) have no risky dating behavior and 9 (7.3%) of adolescence have dating behavior at risk of getting STIs. After doing the Fisher Exact test, the value of p = 1.00 (p> 0.05) was obtained, thus there is no correlation between knowledge of STIs and adolescent dating behavior statistically. Conclusion: there is no relationship between knowledge of STIs and risky dating behavior amongst adolescence in Surabaya High Schools
