Abstract

Postmodernism seems to be something scary for Christian belief. His acceptance of relativity and his rejection of absolute truth seemed to be a significant obstacle for the world of Christian education. This study is library research using a descriptive qualitative approach in data collection. The findings in this study are: postmodernism is an antithesis of modernism; implementation of Postmodernism perspective on Christian Religious Education; Postmodern has a role in learning Christian religious education and curriculum design for Christian religious education as an answer to postmodernism. The research concludes that educators view postmodernism as an opportunity to develop competence and open themselves to the times. So that Christian Religious Education can be realized and face competition in the era of globalization.AbstrakPostmodernisme tampaknya menjadi sesuatu yang menakutkan bagi kepercayaan Kristen. Penerimaannya terhadap relativitas dan penolakannya terhadap kebenaran mutlak tampaknya menjadi hambatan yang signifikan bagi dunia pendidikan Kristen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dalam pengumpulan datanya. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: postmodernisme merupakan antitesis dari modernisme; implementasi perspektif Postmodernisme pada Pendidikan Agama Kristen; Postmodern memiliki peran dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen dan desain kurikulum pendidikan agama Kristen sebagai jawaban terhadap postmodernisme. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pendidik memandang postmo-dernisme sebagai peluang untuk mengembangkan kompetensi dan membuka diri terhadap perkembangan zaman. Sehingga Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat terwujud dan menghadapi persaingan di era globalisasi.

Abstract

Textual criticism has long existed as part of the hermeneutic discipline. However, many communities reject this approach. Even scientifically, textual criticism provides a new understanding of the scriptures, especially the New Testament. The many variants of the Greek New Testament make textual criticism present to reconstruct the original text of the Greek New Testament. Nevertheless, on the other hand, this scientific development deals with the doctrine of the inerrancy of the Bible. This study attempts to present the logical foundations of the urgency of textual criticism related to the doctrine of the inerrancy of the Bible. This study examines the importance of textual criticism of the inerrancy of the Bible. The approach used is exploratory qualitative. The results showed that the hermeneutic method of textual criticism did not weaken the truth of the Bible. The inerrancy of the Bible is maintained when an interpreter uses this method. The meaning of the text is more understandable and far from error because of the approach to the highlighted New Testament Greek.

Abstract

The Pentecostal academic community is responsible for echoing Pentecostal theology and spirituality for the local congregation. However, the courage and ability to carry out this responsibility must continue to be improved through training and mentoring. This activity aims to increase the inventory of Pentecostalism discourse for Pentecostal and Ecumenical scholars through the implementation of a dissertation seminar in the Pentatalk program by the Association of Indonesian Pentecostal/Charismatic Scholars (Aspenkris). Dissertation studies from Pentecostal academics will strengthen their identity as Pentecostalists for teachers. The implementation method is an educational webinar through the Zoom meeting platform. The activity results show that, firstly, providing a broad discourse and discourse on pentecostalism both in Indonesia and abroad must be carried out immediately. Second, this activity can reduce the stigma and understanding of Pentecostalism, which is dwells on the Holy Spirit alone. Third, this activity establishes and increases the dialogue between Pentecostalism and ecumenicalism, which is still minimal among theologians and ecclesiastical practitioners.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused service activities throughout the church to experience both positive and negative impacts. Including the GBI Anugerah Bandar Lampung which has decreased the quantity and quality of youth services. And this is a challenge for GBI Anugerah including all churches to overcome. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the causes of the decline in the quantity and quality of youth servants in the church, especially GBI Anugerah Bandar Lampung, and also to examine what can be done to increase the enthusiasm of youth servants based on the background of the letter 1 Timothy 4:11-16. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques are in-depth interviews. After the problem was found, the researchers used the literature study method to collect information and theories related to the role of youth servant and the background of the letter 1 Timothy 4:16. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there were several factors that resulted in a fairly extreme decline in the number of young people, namely: health reasons, studies, and marriage. Youth must take responsibility and persevere during a pandemic for church growth.AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan aktivitas pelayanan di seluruh gereja mengalami dampak yang positif dan negative. Termask GBI Anugerah Bandar Lampung yang mengalami penurunan kuantitas dan kualitas pada pelayanan anak muda. Dan hal ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi GBI Anugerah termasuk seluruh gereja untuk menanggulanginya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja penyebab dari menurunnya kuantitas dan kualitas pelayan anak muda dalam gereja, khususnya GBI Anugerah Bandar Lampung dan juga meneliti apa saja yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keantusiasan pelayan anak muda berdasarkan latar belakang surat 1 Timotius 4:11-16. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara secara mendalam. Setelah masalah didapat, penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur untuk mengumpulkan infor-masi-informasi dan teori-teori berkaitan dengan peran pelayan anak muda dan latar belakang surat 1 Timotius 4:16. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemui bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang mengakibatkan penurunan yang cukup ekstrim dalam jumlah anak muda, yaitu: alasan kesehatan, studi dan, menikah. Pemuda mesti mengambil tanggung jawab dan tekun untuk dalam masa pandemic untuk pertumbuhan jemaat.

Abstract

Permasalahan tekstual yang terdapat pada Markan Ending tidak memengaruhi kaum Pentakostal dalam kesetiaannya terhadap teks ini. Kelompok Pentakostal merupakan komunitas yang karakter gerejanya lekat dengan karunia Roh. Markan Ending telah menjadi bagian dari Kitab Suci yang demikian melekat pada Pentakostalisme. Sejarah menunjukkan bahwa persebaran dua Markan Ending yaitu Abrupt Ending dan Long Ending terjadi secara natural dan diterima baik oleh banyak kelompok gereja. Historitas kedua Markan Ending yang telah ada sejak masa awal gereja menjadi bukti bahwa teks ini tidak saling berkonfrontasi. Melalui Pentecostal Reading maka terbuka cara yang fair dalam melihat kedua penutup Injil Markus ini sebagai bagian sakral Kitab Suci yang tak terpisahkan. Kisah Para Rasul 2 yang menjadi ideologi dasar Pentakostalisme menjadi penghubung dengan bagian lain dari teks Kitab Suci guna mengungkap relevansi dogmatis dari ajaran yang terdapat dalam Markan Ending.

Abstract

Rebirth is generally understood as the process in which a person's soul moves into a new body after death. Rebirth is a concept understood by Christianity and Hinduism but from different perspectives. This study uses a qualitative method in which the researcher will explore the meaning of 1 Peter 1:13-25 through exegesis and conduct a comprehensive study on Rebirth. The purpose of this paper is to provide a complete explanation of the concept of Rebirth in Christianity based on the text of 1 Peter 1:13-25 and in Hinduism based on the Veda. This paper's results find differences in the understanding of Rebirth between Christianity and Hinduism, but interesting similarities are also found. From these findings, the researcher invites every reader to understand and appreciate every difference that exists to foster a sense of unity among Christians and Hindu.

Abstract

Abstract: The church today often experiences difficulties completing the Great Commission because most only move from one congregation to another. This research aims to explore the responses of the magi and Herod to the news of Christ's birth in Matthew 2:1-12 which is associated with the completion of the Great Commission. The research method used is descriptive qualitative based on a literature study. The study results show that the story offers two paths: the "way of the magi," which supports the Great Commission, and the "Herod's way," which rejects the Great Commission. So, the conclusion is that the church or congregation needs to avoid Herod's way and follow the magi's path. The reason is that someone who chooses this path will be ready to sacrifice to spread the Good News, just like the magi who sacrificed their wealth, energy, and time to seek and worship Him and preach the news about the King of the Jews. They are figures to emulate, not Herod, who is always selfish and even blocks the excellent news from the world.Abstrak: Gereja masa kini seringkali mengalami kesulitan dalam menuntaskan Amanat Agung karena sebagian besar mereka hanya memindahkan jemaat yang satu ke jemaat yang lain. Itulah sebabnya, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri respons orang majus dan Herodes terhadap berita kelahiran Kristus di Matius 2:1-12 yang dikaitkan dengan penuntasan Amanat Agung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kisah tersebut menawarkan dua jalan, yaitu “jalan majus” yang mendukung Amanat Agung dan “jalan Herodes” yang menolak Amanat Agung. Jadi, kesimpulannya adalah gereja atau jemaat perlu menghindari jalan Herodes dan mengikuti jalan majus. Alasannya karena seseorang yang memilih jalan ini akan siap berkorban demi penyebaran Kabar Baik, sama seperti para majus yang mengorbankan harta, tenaga, dan waktu demi mencari dan menyembah-Nya serta memberitakan kabar tentang Raja orang Yahudi. Merekalah tokoh yang patut diteladani, bukan Herodes yang selalu mementingkan dirinya sendiri dan bahkan menghalangi berita sukacita tersebut dari dunia.
