Abstract

Pengabdian yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 18 Desember 2020 ini bertujuan untuk membentuk pemahaman para pelajar SMU dan mahasiswa di wilayah Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi (Jabodetabek) mengenai hoax dan hate speech sebagai fenomena di era digital yang semakin meningkat di masa pandemi COVID-19, serta memberikan pembekalan dalam berperilaku positif di media sosial untuk mencegah penyebaran konten negatif, sehingga terbentuk perilaku terbuka (overt behavior) yang tampak dari pelajar SMU dan mahasiswa. Metode kegiatan berupa penyuluhan berbentuk seminar daring (webinar) melalui Zoom Meeting dengan pemaparan materi dengan menggunakan presentasi dan video. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah terbentuknya pengetahuan dan pemahaman para pelajar SMU dan mahasiswa mengenai dampak dari hoax dan hate speech dalam lingkungan masyarakat, sehingga dapat memproduksi, mendistribusikan, dan mengonsumsi informasi di media sosial dengan benar.

Abstract

The vertical conflict experienced by the people of Denatana Village has caused the community to be insecure and the government has difficulty in performing the functions of public service, empowerment and development. The role of Mosaboa Lakiola as local community leaders are needed to resolve vertical conflicts and empower communities. This research is intended to examine the communication of Mosaboa Lakiola to resolve vertical conflicts and empower the community. By using a qualitative approach through interviews with five informants, the results obtained show that the effectiveness of the communication actions of Mosaboa Lakiola in resolving vertical conflicts is determined by the principle-centered approach. Meanwhile, the success of Mosaboa Lakiola's communication actions to empower the community is more determined by real action communication than verbal communication.Keyword: Conflict, Communication, Masaboa Lakiola

Abstract

The main reason for a company's financial problems is that it is unable to operate its business to meet its obligations, including short-term liabilities. Examining actual data on the impact of liquidity, leverage, and sales growth on financial hardship is the main goal of this study. Data from companies in the real estate and property sectors that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2016 and 2020 were used in this study. The research sample consisted of 46 businesses with 230 observational data collected over a five-year period. employing multiple linear regression analysis along with the purposive sampling strategy to sample. processing data with SPSS 28.0 for Windows and Microsoft Office Excel. According to the study's findings, financial distress is significantly worsened by sales growth and has a significantly beneficial impact on leverage and liquidity.

Abstract

The most important aspect in achieving linguistic goals is motivation. The purpose of the research is to learn about the students' motivation for accomplishing their English class goals. Purposive sampling was used throughout the study, which lasted from 2019 to 2021. Thirty students were interviewed carefully and semi-structured for data. The following three questions were posed to all participants: “How confident are the students in achieving good learning outcomes?”, “What motivates them to achieve these outcomes?”, and “What tactics are used to achieve expected results?” The data was analyzed using the traditional content analysis method. Positive and negative attitudes, intrinsic and extrinsic impulses, and principled eclecticism tactics all lead to good or bad learning results, according to the study. Lecturers should foster students' positive attitudes toward learning, increase their integrative and instrumental drives, and encourage students to use a variety of learning methodologies in order to obtain great academic results.

Abstract

This study aims to promote community engagement through government communication from RT heads. Some RT leaders seek to enhance community engagement, while others fail to carry out their duties. To provide critical-descriptive analysis, data was collected using qualitative methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation procedures. As a result, the government's communication strategy of combining face-to-face contact, exemplary communication by RT heads, and dialogic communication that positions RT inhabitants as RT partners was successful in boosting residents' support for PMI and Bazis fundraising targets. It was determined that the RT heads' communication and leadership were significant factors in developing community support and engagement.

Abstract

Pelatihan pemanfaatan MS Excel untuk pengolahan dan analisis data pada guru-guru SMA Negeri 44 Jakarta Timur merupakan salah satu langkah upaya membangun dan mengembangkan kemampuan guru dalam melakukan penelitian yang baik. Tujuan khusus dari pelatihan pemanfaatan MS Excel untuk pengolahan daihan n analisis data pada guru-guru SMA Negeri 44 Jakarta Timur adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang metodologi penelitian sehingga dapat melakukan penelitian ilmiah dengan baik dan benar. Proses pelatihan dimulai dengan menganalisis kebutuhan pelatihan, merumuskan tujuan pelatihan, mempersiapkan materi, dan melaksanakan pelatihan. Metode pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan ceramah, diskusi, tanya-jawab, dan praktek pengolahan dan analisis data dengan menggunaiankan perangkat lunak MS Excel. Hasil dari pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi guru-guru SMA Negeri 44 Jakarta Timur untuk melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan baik dan benar, sehingga penelitian tindakan kelas menjadi suatu bagian yang melekat pada bidang pengajaran setiap guru. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang diakukan yang dilakukan setelah pelatihan, diperoleh gambaran bahwa para peserta telah memperoleh pengetahuan baru khususnya peningkatan keterampilan dalam menggunakan MS Excel untuk pengolahan dan analisis data penelitian, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan pemanfaatan MS Excel untuk pengolahan dan analisis data penelitian cukup efektif

Abstract

This research aims to determine the perception of online motorcycle service customers regarding the dominant indicators in determining service quality which communicates through service messages carried out by online transportation service companies in Indonesia running by Gojek and Grab, under brands of GoRide and GrabBike transportation services. The research method used is the descriptive comparative model. The sample selection technique in this study used purposive sampling, which consisted of 102 respondents. The statistical test used in this study is the data normality test, which aims to determine whether the data is normally distributed or not by using the one-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. From the results of analysis and interpretation, it concluded that customers' assessments of the quality of GoRide and GrabBike services during the COVID-19 pandemic are still in the high or satisfactory category for their customers using their transportation services.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve English Skills for Priest Candidates in Jakarta were undertaken to enhance English proficiency and communication skills of Diocesan Priest Candidates. Conducted from September to December 2021 at Wisma Puruhita Klender, East Jakarta, the program employs interactive language learning methodologies led by qualified language instructors from Kwik Kian Gie School of Business Jakarta. The curriculum integrates practical application through real-life scenarios, case studies, and field visits to pastoral settings. Evaluation mechanisms encompass periodic tests, quizzes, and feedback sessions to ensure a comprehensive assessment of language acquisition and practical communicative abilities. Anticipated outcomes include improved English proficiency, enhanced communication skills, increased cultural competence, and a positive impact on pastoral work. Recognizing challenges such as diverse language backgrounds and time constraints, the program proposes tailored language support and flexible scheduling options. The conclusion envisions a cohort of priest candidates equipped with the linguistic and communicative tools necessary for impactful pastoral engagement within their diverse congregations. This initiative aspires to contribute to the growth and connectivity within religious communities in Jakarta, fostering inclusive communication and deepening the bonds between diocesan priest candidates and peoples they serve.
