Abstract

This study aims to describe the management and utilization of Village Funds in physical development in Tanah Tiinggi Village, Malabotom District, Sorong Regency and identify supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the management and utilization of Village Funds in physical development in Tanah Tinggi Village, Malabotom District, Sorong Regency. The focus of this research is the management and utilization of the Village Fund which includes: planning, implementation, and accountability. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, the primary data sources in this study consist of key informants, namely the village head and village officials and community informants. Data collection techniques used three ways, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive model consisting of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results that can be concluded from this study are that the management of the Village Fund in physical development in Tanah Tinggi Village is in accordance with applicable regulations and is running quite well, but there are still some obstacles. The implementation of development is intended for the public interest in the form of construction of facilities and infrastructure. Accountability has been said to be good even though there are inhibiting factors from the Village Government, namely the lack of human resources and understanding of program planning.

Abstract

The research was conducted by Frety Matahelumual, Novita E. Kiljanin and Wiesje Ferdinandus with the title “Implementation of the National Tourism Empowerment Program (PNPM) in Amahusu and Latuhalat Kec. Nusaniwe Ambon City” was conducted to obtain a qualitative description of the implementation of the national community empowerment program that had been carried out. This study aims to determine the implementation process and benefits of the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) Mandiri Wisata as one of the empowerment programs in Ambon City. This study uses a qualitative approach at the research locus, namely the Amahusus country and the Latuhat country, the data analysis technique used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive model. The results of the study show that with this program, PNPM Mandiri Tourism in both tourist villages, namely the community can improve the family economy, create jobs and increase village income. Lack of communication and low human resources and budget resources so that the implementation process of the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) Mandiri Tourism has not been carried out optimally.

Abstract

Abstract Research with the title Archive Management at the West Waigeo District Office in Raja Ampat Regency was carried out to get an overview of optimizing employees in managing archives through: archival arrangement, archival storage, archival maintenance, re-discovery of archives to archive depreciation at the West Waigeo District Office in Raja Ampat Islands Province West Papua. This research was conducted using interview, observation and documentation research methods with qualitative research data processing involving 5 (five) informants taken as samples by means of Purposive Sampling. This study suggests that the process of managing records has not been carried out properly due to lack of human resources, equipment or equipment and a place for archival storage. It is necessary to optimize human resources (HR) specifically in the processing of records, awareness and discipline of employees, proposing the addition of equipment or facilities and infrastructure in archiving of records can be done well at the West Waigeo District office in Raja Ampat Islands.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKabupaten Sorong, Papua Barat memiliki banyak pertanian. Salah satunya pertanian khusus menghasilkan produksi lemon cina dan daun jeruk purut yang dikelola oleh petani Mama Mia beralamat di kilometer 22. Petani Mama Mia sering mengalami kendala penurunan harga jual hasil pertanian yang terjadi pada bulan Februari hingga Juni. Agar pada bulan tersebut tetap mendapatkan keuntungan yang optimal maka perlu dilakukan optimasi hasil produksi, hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan Teknologi Informasi (TI). Salah satu software yang dapat digunakan adalah POM-QM for Windows. Dalam software ini terdapat modul Pemrograman Linier (PL) dan juga metode simpleks. Software POM-QM for Windows mampu menganalisis keuntungan optimum dari setiap kali produsi selama 5 bulan. Melihat kendala yang terjadi, maka tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Universitas Victory Sorong melakukan pelatihan serta pendampingan yang berkesinambungan. Pelatihan serta pendampingan ini sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta kesadaran para petani. Kegiatan PkM ini juga memberikan dampak yang besar, karena selain melatih penggunaan software dapat juga mengoptimalkan hasil produksi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah sharing knowledge and care terhadap sesama dengan maksud mengoptimasi hasil produksi dan menjadikan petani lebih inovatif. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah tingkat pemahaman mitra yang meningkat pesat. Pemahaman mitra terkait menganalisis masalah meningkat menjadi 97%, pemahaman menggunakan metode simpleks meningkat menjadi 96%, pemahaman menggunakan software POM-QM juga meningkat menjadi 98% serta pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan TI meningkat menjadi 99%. Kata kunci: optimasi hasil produksi; petani; teknologi informasi; pelatihan; pendampingan. ABSTRACTSorong Regency, West Papua, has a lot of agriculture. One of them is a special farm that produces Chinese lemons and kaffir lime leaves which is managed by farmer Mama Mia, whose address is at Kilometer 22. Mama Mia's farmers often experience problems with decreasing selling prices of agricultural products that occurs from February to June. In order for that month to still get optimal profits, it is necessary to optimize production results, this can be done using Information Technology (IT). One of the software that can be used is POM-QM for Windows. In this software there is a Linear Programming (PL) module and also the simplex method. POM-QM software for Windows is able to analyze the optimum profit from each production for 5 months. Seeing the obstacles that occurred, the Community Service team at Victory Sorong University conducted training and continuous assistance.  This training and assistance is very much needed to increase the knowledge and awareness of farmers. This Community Service activity also has a big impact, because in addition to training in the use of software, it can also optimize production results. The purpose of this activity is to share knowledge and care for others with the aim of optimizing production results and making farmers more innovative. The result of this activity is a rapidly increasing level of partner understanding. The understanding of partners related to analyzing problems increased to 97%, understanding using the simplex method increased to 96%, understanding using POM-QM software also increased to 98% and understanding related to IT utilization increased to 99%. Keywords: optimization of production; farmers; information technology; training; mentoring.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is still hitting until now, this has caused unrest among the public, especially for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Many SME players have also felt the impact of this situation, one of which is Mrs. Marthina, whose address is at Moyo kilometer 13, Sorong City, West Papua Province. The problem faced by Mrs. Martina is optimizing the existing resources so that she gets a profit in the midst of the pandemic situation so that her business can continue to operate. In such a situation, steps are needed to increase profits. These steps must use a technique or method so that they have estimates in a more accurate calculation. One method that can be used is the Simplex method, for that the Community Service (PkM) team at Victory Sorong University offers a resource optimization training program by utilizing the simplex method and IT in the form of POM-QM software for windows version 5.3. The main objective of this PKM program is to share knowledge to help SMEs to innovate and maintain business activities.

Abstract

Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo are Indonesian food products in the form of ice snacks which are widely consumed by the public. These snacks are usually sold on the roadside. Mr. Leman, is one of the small-scale business actors who sell Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo in Sorong City, Southwest Papua, to make ends meet. The problem faced by Mr. Leman in selling Es products is how to determine the optimal amount of Es Teler and Es Pisang Ijo sales production, so that maximum sales profits are obtained. This problem can be solved using the Simplex Method which is a part of Linear Programming (PL) and utilizing Information Technology, namely the POM-QM for Windows software to make the calculation process efficient. The method used in data collection is by interview and observation. The results of the analysis show that manual calculations using the simplex method and PL applications using the POM-QM for Windows software in optimizing sales obtain the same maximum profit, IDR 566,667 per day's production.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang begitu pesat di era globalisasi saat ini sangat turut membawa dampak negatif bagi perkembangan moral dan dan remaja. Untuk itu perlu adanya sebuah upaya yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dewasa dalam membentuk karakter para generasi muda untuk dapat mengenal potensi dirinya. Untuk itulah sebagai kaum cendikiawan yang berperan dalam dunia pendidikan, dengan melihat perkembangan karakter generasi muda di era globalisasi saat ini, maka kami tim pengabdian terdorong untuk juga turut memberikan kontribusi kami melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada anak dan remaja terkhusus pada anak dan remaja gereja Katolik Emaus Kota Sorong, dengan Tema kegiatan “Peran Anak Muda dalam Menghadapi Era Globalisasi”. Selain pemaparan Materi Kepemimpinan dan Pergaulan Bebas, diskusi dan pelatihan juga diberikan dengan metode Pendidikan Masyarakat. Besar harapan kami agar setiap materi yang diberikan dapat memberikan edukasi yang baik bagi anak dan remaja pada khususnya dan juga mahasiswa/i yang turut dilibatkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

Hawaii Bakery sells culinary products that are much loved by people in the archipelago region of Papua, Indonesia. The product is rolled shredded bread, which is the mainstay product of Hawaii Bakery. The current situation and conditions experienced by Hawaii Bakery are deemed necessary for adjustment, given that the main problem faced is maximizing profits with limited shipping costs and selling prices that must be adjusted. This provides an opportunity for the Sorong University of Victory Community Service (PkM) team to conduct a PkM program in the form of training using the POM-QM software for Windows. This training is to share knowledge and also help Hawaii Bakery to innovate and maintain business activities. The main thing is how Hawaii Bakery can maximize profit. After evaluating all the steps for implementing the Community Service Program, an average value of 95% is obtained for the increase in partner understanding. The 95% figure shows that the PkM implementation carried out by the Victory University Sorong University PkM team was very successful. This is a motivation for the team to continue to do the same thing and even improve the performance of the PkM team in the future.

Abstract

Mordenisasi  diikuti dengan berbagai tuntutan gaya hidup generasi muda, untuk itu mordenisasi turut mendorong setiap anak untuk menentukkan pilihan yang tepat bagi dirinya sendiri. Perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi yang semakin pesat dewasa ini secara nyata telah mengambil peranan penting dalam setiap bidang kehidupan manusia. Hal ini juga berlaku bagi generasi muda bangsa kita yang tumbuh dan berkembang di era teknologi digital khususnya. Generasi muda adalah calon pemimpin bangsa ini, sehingga sudah sepatutnya setiap anak harus mendapatkan pembinaan karakter sedini mungkin. Anak perlu dibina dan dilatih terus-menerus agar memperoleh karakter hidup yang baik. Menurut UU SISDIKNAS No.20 tahun 2003, Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik aktif mengembangkan potensinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya dan masyarakat. Beranjak dari permasalahan tersebut, sebagai pendidik yang tentu memiliki keinginan selain mencerdaskan anak bansa tetapi yang terpenting adalah dapat turut membina anak-anak sehingga memiliki karakter hidup yang baik, maka kami berinisiatif untuk melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam wujud Sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkhusus kepada anak-anak di Rumah Belajar Missio Dei Km.12 Masuk. Dalam pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, metode yang digunakan dalam yaitu Pendidikan Masyarakat dalam bentuk Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 yang sedang terjadi sekarang ini, membuat masyarakat mengisolasi diri agar terhindar dari bahaya COVID-19. Untuk tetap menjaga diri dan keluarga, masyarakat harus mempersiapkan ketersediaan pangan secara mandiri dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah, salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan tersebut adalah tanaman seperti sayuran. Di Kampung Malagufuk Kabupaten Sorong sudah ada masyarakat yang memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumahnya, namun belum maksimal. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk mendorong serta memberi motivasi agar dapat mengoptimalkan lahan pekarangan rumah dalam membudidayakan tanaman pangan sesuai dengan luasan lahan pekarangan dan komoditas yang dapat ditanamami. Lahan pekarangan yang dimanfaatkan merupakan suatu wujud pemenuhan ketersediaan pangan keluarga yang juga daiharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian kelaurga selama pandemic COVID-19. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan yaitu pengamatan, dan penyuluhan. Hasil yang dicapai dari penyuluhan ini adalah yaitu masyarakat memahami dan mengerti tentang pemanfaatan laha pekarangan untuk budidaya sayuran, yang akan meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan alam pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan rumah mereka guna pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan keluarga sekaligus membantu pemenuhan ketersediaan pangan dan perekonomian keluarga.
