Abstract

The rice husk waste often becomes a problem for people in Tatah Makmur district. The mountainous of a stack of rice husk has not been utilized by farmers as a useful material. The science activities for the people aimed to provide knowledge about the utilization of rice husk waste into a charcoal husk, biobricket, and bokashi. The target people of this program are Kelompok Tani Bina Desa Jaya RT. 07 and Yasinan Group RT. 06 in Tatah Makmur district. The types of outcomes generated through the science activities of the people are biobricket and bokashi. The socialization, counseling, and training activities were held from May to October 2015 in Pemangkih Village, Tatah Makmur district, South Kalimantan. The people in the village enthusiastically participated in extension activities as they gained knowledge about the making of bokashi and biobricket so that it can reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and wood fuels. The science activities for this people can solve the problems of the farmers in the utilization of rice husk waste and at the same time can overcome the farmers’ difficulties in obtaining organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The community partnership program for making organic planting pots aims to provide knowledge and technology on using waste from rice husks into eco-friendly organic planting pot products and train people in making these pots. Partners in the program are the Bina Desa Farmer Group in Pemangkih Village Tatah Makmur District Banjar Regency. The activity method is socialization/counseling, training, and assistance to partners. The community partnership program was implemented from May to September 2020 through meetings with the community partners who continue to apply the Covid-19 Protocol, resulting in organic planting pot products, publications in the mass media, video activities on YouTube, and scientific articles. Partners' knowledge increased between 76.47-94.12% after extension activities training on making organic planting pots.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential of household waste generation in urban settlements smooth mangosteen, measure the density of household waste in urban settlements mangosteen smooth, determine the composition of household waste in urban settlements smooth mangosteen, analyzing the value of Recovery Factor (RF) of household waste settlements that can be recycled. The method used in this study is a survey method using questionnaires and community respondents in Manggis Village Guntung Banjarbaru City. Measurement of the amount of waste generation starts with determining the sampling site, the blunt Manggis Village. Retrieval based on the number of samples SNI 19-3964-1995 (National Standardization Agency, 1995) on the Sampling Method and Sample Measurement Generation and Waste Composition by simple random sampling, the sampling method of random members of the population, regardless of the strata in the population members (Riduwan, 2007), in this study the sampling time was 8 days in a row. Can result in waste generation residential households in the Village of mangosteen Guntung 157.77632 kg / capita. Waste density residential households in the Village Guntung get the mangosteen in the average yield of 92.2019 kg/m3 density. Composition of household waste in the Village Guntung mangosteen settlement can result in organic waste 71.4516%, followed by 11.3125% of plastic waste paper waste at 0.84587%, 0.80855% of glass waste, waste iron at 0, 55 977% and other waste of 7.46361%. Value Recovery Factor (RF) potential recycling 91.39% wet waste, plastic waste, waste iron, and 100.0% waste glass, waste paper and other garbage 0.000%.

Abstract

Briket arang pengusir nyamuk dan briket aromaterapi merupakan inovasi terbaru untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dari briket arang. Selama ini pemanfaatan briket arang hanya terbatas sebagai energi alternatif terbarukan. Briket arang pengusir nyamuk merupakan campuran serbuk arang alaban dengan tumbuhan serai wangi dan cengkeh, sedangkan briket aromaterapi merupakan campuran serbuk arang alaban dengan serbuk Gaharu. Kegiatan program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat untuk membuat briket arang pengusir nyamuk dari serai wangi dan cengkeh serta briket arang aromaterapi dari serbuk gaharu yang berguna untuk kesehatan. Mitra kegiatan PKM ini adalah kelompok masyarakat RT. 3 dan kelompok masyarakat RT. 4 Desa Mandiangin Barat, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan. Penyampaian materi kegiatan melalui penyuluhan, dan pelatihan pembuatan briket pengusir nyamuk dan briket aromaterapi. Masyarakat yang menjadi mitra memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pelaksana PKM Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas Lambung Mangkurat.

Abstract

The Yasinan Arraudah group consists of women who work as traders, catering services, and housewives. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected partners, namely a decrease in sales turnover until the closure of businesses for members who work as traders or catering services. The implementation team of the Community Partnership Program provides the right solution for business opportunities in the new normal era, namely making healthy pastries made from brown rice flour and sago flour. The selection of local brown rice flour and sago flour to support the government's efforts in accelerating the diversification of food consumption based on local resources and reducing dependence on wheat flour. The problem faced by partners is the lack of knowledge about how to make modern pastries from local brown rice and sago which is healthy and hygienic and does not have the equipment, availability of raw materials, packaging methods and product marketing methods. The method of activity is in the form of counseling, training in making pastries, assistance to activity partners and program evaluation. The results of the counseling and training activities showed that 80% of the participants were able to make modern pastries made from brown rice and sago, namely Nastar Beras Merah, Cookies Susu Wijen, Kuker Sagu, and Selai Cookies. The outputs produced in the Community Partnership Program activities are in the form of contemporary pastries, publications in mass media, activity videos on YouTube and scientific articles.Keywords: contemporary pastries, food diversification, local brown rice, and sago

Abstract

This study objective to analyze the feasibility level of the Liang Bangkai Cave Tourism Obje in South Kalimantan Province, Tanah Bumbu District, Mantewe District, Dukuh Rejo Village, namely Liang Bangkai Cave.  The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis to determine the feasibility value of the Liang Bangkai Cave tourist attraction. Assessment of tourist objects and attractions includes attractions in the form of natural caves, security, conditions around the area, accessibility, area carrying capacity, availability of clean water, and visitor arrangements. The feasibility value of the Liang Bangkai Cave tourist attraction is 77.92% so that the Liang Bangkai Cave tourist attraction is feasible to be developed as a natural cave-shaped exploration tourist attractionTujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis tingkat kelayakan Objek Wisata di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu Kecamatan Mantewe desa Dukuh Rejo yaitu Gua Liang Bangkai. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif deskriptif agar dapat mengetahui nilai kelayakan wisata Gua Liang Bangkai. Objek penilaian dan daya tarik wisata meliputi daya tarik berbentuk Gua Alam, keamanan, kondisi sekitar kawasan, aksesibilitas, daya dukung kawasan, ketersediaan air bersih, dan pengaturan pengunjung. Nilai kelayakan objek wisata Gua Liang Bangkai sebesar 77,92% sehingga objek wisata Gua Liang Bangkai layak untuk dikembangkan menjadi objek wisata jelajah berbentuk gua

Abstract

The development of tourism potentials is necessary to attract tourists to visit tourism objects. There is a wide range of potential that can develop to manage tourist attractions are flora, fauna, culture, natural attractions, facilities, and infrastructure. The purpose of this research is to identify and inventory the potential of tourism objects, analyze public perception on the development of potential tourism objects, and analyze the development strategy of potential tourism objects on Burung island. This method of research is by interviews and observation of tourist attractions. Determination of respondents using Accidental Sampling and Purpose Sampling methods. Data on interviews and observation results are analyzing in descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities,Threats). Burung Island has a variety of potential tourism objects that need to be developed again, the diversity of flora found 59 species and the number of fauna 68 species, and there are some unique cultures. The facilities and infrastructures in Burung Island are already supporting this tourist attraction. The result of the perception of respondents showed positive results towards the development of this tourist attraction. Based on SWOT analysis, the development of tourism objects on Burung Island is in Quadrant I, so it is necessary to develop Strength-Opportunities (S-O) strategy that is the power used to achieve the most opportunities so that this tourism place can develop betterPengembangan pengelolaan potensi wisata sangat diperlukan untuk menarik wisatawan datang berkunjung kesuatu objek wisata. Terdapat berbagai macam potensi yang dapat dikembangkan untuk mengelola tempat wisata yaitu flora & fauna, kebudayaan, atraksi alam serta sarana & prasarana. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengidentifikasi dan inventarisasi potensi objek wisata, menganalisis persepsi masyarakat terhadap pengembangan potensi objek wisata serta menganalisis strategi pengembangan potensi objek wisata di Pulau Burung. Metode penelitian ini ialah dengan wawancara dan observasi tempat wisata. Penentuan responden menggunakan metode Accidental Sampling dan Purposive Sampling. Data hasil wawancara dan observasi dianalisis secara analisis deskriptif dan analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats). Pulau Burung memiliki berbagai potensi objek wisata yang perlu dikembangkan lagi, keberagaman flora ditemukan 59 spesies dan jumlah fauna 68 spesies serta terdapat beberapa kebudayaan yang unik. Sarana dan prasarana di Pulau Burung sudah cukup menunjang tempat wisata ini. Hasil persepsi responden menunjukkan hasil yang positif terhadap pengembangan tempat wisata ini. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, pengembangan objek wisata Pulau Burung berada di Kuadran I, sehingga perlu pengembangan strategi Strength-Opportunities (S-O) yaitu kekuatan yang dimanfaatkan untuk meraih peluang sebanyak-banyaknya sehingga tempat wisata ini dapat berkembang lebih baik.

Abstract

Urban forest is an important factor affecting the sustainability of ecological and social conditions in the urban environment. One of the urban forest in Banjarbaru is Tropical Rain Forest Miniature. The urban forest is located in the South Kalimantan provincial government office area in Banjarbaru. Development of the urban forest is a real act of the Government of South Kalimantan Province in the framework of reducing the rate of degradation of forest areas, especially areas that are downstream of the watershed. At different land uses will be found the type of vegetation and land management of different levels. Where these two things will also cause a different rate of infiltration. This research uses the Horton Model which aims to analyze the nature of the soil, determine the infiltration rate, infiltration capacity and infiltration volume in urban forest governor office of South Kalimantan province. Infiltration rate measurements using an infiltrometer conducted on 4 planting blocks in miniature tropical rainforest. The results showed that: 1) Texture of sandy clay loam and sandy loam; 2) The largest infiltration rate is in Block 4 with a value of 87.33 mm / hour and the lowest infiltration rate in Block 3 with a value of 29.00 mm / hour; 3) The largest infiltration capacity and infiltration volume are in Block 4, which is 46.23 mm / hour and 50.23 mm3, while the lowest infiltration capacity and infiltration volume is in Block 3, which is 12.82 mm / hour and 9.48 mm3Hutan kota merupakan faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan kondisi ekologi dan sosial di lingkungan perkotaan. Salah satu hutan kota yang ada di Banjarbaru adalah Miniatur Hutan Hujan Tropis. Hutan Kota ini berada di areal kawasan perkantoran pemerintah provinsi Kalimantan Selatan di Banjarbaru. Pembangunan hutan kota merupakan tindakan nyata Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan dalam Rangka mengurangi laju degradasi hutan dan lahan, terutama daerah yang berada dihilir DAS. Pada tata guna lahan yang berbeda akan dijumpai jenis vegetasi dan tingkat pengolahan lahan yang berbeda. Dimana kedua hal tersebut juga akan menyebabkan terjadinya laju infiltrasi yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan Model Horton yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat fisik tanah, menentukan besarnya laju infiltrasi, menentukan kapasitas infiltrasi dan volume infiltrasi di Hutan Kota Perkantoran Gubernur Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Pengukuran laju infiltrasi menggunakan infiltrometer yang dilakukan pada 4 blok tanam di miniatur hutan hujan tropis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: 1) Tekstur tanah lempung liat berpasir dan lempung berpasir; 2) Besarnya laju infiltrasi terbesar terdapat pada Blok 4 dengan nilai 87,33 mm/jam dan laju infiltrasi terendah pada Blok 3 dengan nilai 29,00 mm/jam; 3) Kapasitas infiltrasi dan volume infiltrasi terbesar terdapat pada Blok 4 yaitu 46,23 mm/jam dan 50,23 mm3, sedangkan kapasitas infiltrasi dan volume infiltrasi terendah terdapat pada Blok 3 yaitu 12,82 mm/jam dan 9,48 mm3

Abstract

Mandin Mangapan Waterfall has an altitude of ± 40 meters is one of the beautiful  potential natural that is found in the village of Paramasan Atas, Banjar Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of Mandin Mangapan Waterfall as an ecotourism object and to get the information of the public perception of the Waterfall of Mandin Mangapan. The respondents in this research are the community of Niwak Village (Dusun Niwak) RT. 04. Interviews with respondents were conducted by using the questionnaires. Total score of the landscape assessment of Mandin Mangapan Falls is about 28, and it was included in the category of Class A (high quality) and the assessment of the potential of tourist attraction of 72.30% indicates that the location of Mandin Mangapan Waterfall is feasible to be developed. Community of Dusun Niwak stated that Waterfall is the most attractive natural potential of 88.90% in that place and 83.33% of the community hope that they could be involved in ecotourism development plan that will have a direct impact on the economy of the community in that area.Keywords:  feasibility analysis. ecotourism, Mandin Mangapan Waterfall

Abstract

The danger level of erosion at each land closure and Slopes has different results. It is important to know the handling of erosion hazards later. The purpose of this study is to calculate the amount of erosion due to changes in land closures and to know the level of erosion hazard (TBE) of rubber plantations on various slopes in Sub Das Bati – Bati Das Maluka. The research method is purposive random sampling. Sample points taken based on soil type, slopes class, vegetation, and land cover are adjusted to the land units of the land unit map (overlay). Soil sampling using ring samples and soil drills will then be tested. Land cover and marbles are closely related to erosion values. The highest erosion value is in Land Unit (LU) 38 with an erosion value of 73.64 tons/ha/yr, while the lowest value is at LU 7 with an erosion value of 6.34 tons/ha/yr. The degree of erosion hazard is related to the soil solum. Erosion hazard level in all land units and land cover indicates grade II-S (medium) is present at LU 38 while light (I-SR) is on, LU 37, LU 50, and LU 59, and very light (0-SR) is on LU 7 and LU 34.Tingkat bahaya erosi pada masing-masing penutupan lahan dan kelerengan mempunyai hasil yang berbeda.  Hal ini penting untuk mengetahui penanganan bahaya erosi nantinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menghitung besarnya jumlah erosi akibat perubahan penutupan lahan serta mengetahui tingkat bahaya erosi (TBE) vegetasi kebun karet pada berbagai kelerengan di Sub Das Bati-Bati Das Maluka. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara purposive random sampling. Titik sampel yang diambil berdasarkan jenis tanah, kelas kelerengan, vegetasi, dan tutupan lahan yang disesuaikan dengan unit lahan dari peta satuan lahan (overlay). Pengambilan sampel tanah menggunakan ring sample dan bor tanah yang kemudian akan dilakukan pengujian. Tutupan lahan dan kelerengan erat kaitannya dengan nilai erosi. Nilai erosi tertinggi berada pada Unit Lahan (UL) 38 dengan nilai erosi sebesar 73,64 ton/ha/thn, sedangkan nilai terendah ada pada UL 7 dengan nilai erosi sebesar 6,34 ton/ha/thn. Tingkat bahaya erosi berhubungan dengan solum tanah.  Tingkat bahaya erosi pada semua unit lahan dan tutupan lahan, menunjukkan TBE kelas II-S (sedang) terdapat pada UL 38 sedangkan TBE ringan (I-SR) ada pada, UL 37, UL 50, dan UL 59 serta TBE sangat ringan (0-SR) ada pada UL 7 dan UL 34.
