Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Self Efficacy and peer social support with Self Regulated Learning at Potensi Utama University students. Where the subject of research is a student of Potensi Utama University with a sample of 131 students. Sampling through simple random sampling technique. Data collection is done by using Likert scale which consists of three scale that is Self Efficacy scale, Social Peer Support scale and Self Regulated Learning scale. Data analysis method used is Multiple Regression Analysis. The results obtained that there is a positive relationship between Self Efficacy and social support peers with Self Regulated Learning students of Potensi Utama University. With the value F = 9.511 and the value p = 0.000. Self Efficacy contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 9.3%. Friends' social support contributes to Self Regulated Learning of 7.3%. Self Efficacy and peer social support to Self Regulated Learning as much as 12.9% this means there are still 87.1% other factors that can affect Self Regulated Learning. From these results it is expected for the Potensi Utama University Medan to improve students' ability in managing Self Efficacy in a better direction, build a conducive atmosphere that leads to peer social support, and create learning conditions that lead students to learn independently.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out (1) the correlation between the students’ self efficacy, their family support, and their math anxiety, (2) the correlation between the students’ self efficacy and their math anxiety, and (3) the correlation between the students’ family support and their math anxiety. A math anxiety scale, a self-efficacy scale, and a family support scale were used as the instruments in this quantitative research. The collected data were then analyzed by using multiple regression and partial correlation analyses. The results indicated that the students’ self efficacy and their family support were in a significant correlation with those students’ math anxiety. It was showed by the coefficient F = 12.239; R = .548 with p = 0.000 (p 0.01). Moreover, it was also found that there was a correlation between the students’ self efficacy and their math anxiety with coefficient rx1 – y = -0.543 with p 0.01. In addition, the students’ family support was correlated to their math anxiety with coefficient rx2 – y = -0.257 with p 0.01. The students’ self efficacy and their family support gave as much as 30% of the influence in which 29.5% of it was from the self efficacy variable while 6.6% of it was from the family support variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Self Efficacy and the Role of Peers with Cheating Behavior in Students of SMA Negeri 1 Labuhan Deli. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study were 125 students who had a tendency to cheat who had previously been selected by screening. Samples were taken using the total sampling technique as many as 125 students. Data were analyzed using multiple regression formulas. This study uses a scale with the instrument of Self Efficacy, the role of peers and cheating behavior. The results showed: a) there was a significant negative relationship between Self Efficacy and cheating behavior in students, indicated by the correlation coefficient (rx1y) = -0.220; p = 0.048 0.05. b) there is a significant negative relationship between the role of peers and cheating behavior in students, indicated by the correlation coefficient (rx2y) = -0.226; p= 0.039 0.05. c) a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy, the role of peers and students' cheating behavior, as shown by the correlation coefficient (R) = -0.285; p = 0.006 0.05; Freg of 5.382, it can be concluded that the variables of Self Efficacy and the role of peers are related to cheating behavior. Thus, it can be stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) The relationship between self -concept and social anxiety in students of class X Listik in SMK Negeri 2 Medan. 2) The relationship between social support and social anxiety in students of class X Electricity in SMK Negeri 2 Medan. 3) The relationship between self -concept and self -esteem with social anxiety in students of class X Electricity in SMK Negeri 2 Medan. This type of research is a quantitative approach with correlational methods. Correlation research method is used to detect the extent of variations in a factor related to variations in one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient. and the sample in this study was 90 students. Based on the results of the discussion of this study shows 1) There is a relationship between self -concept and social anxiety of students of class X Electric SMK Negeri 2 Medan. This conclusion is obtained and the result of the calculation is the calculated value = 4,669. 2) There is a relationship between social support and social anxiety of students of class X Listrik SMK Negeri 2 Medan. This conclusion is obtained from the results of the calculation that is the calculated value = 7,783 at the alpha level of 5%. 3) There is a relationship between self-concept and social support collectively to students' social anxiety. This conclusion is obtained from the calculation results that is the value of Fhitung = 39, 735.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of playing sand and plasticine on the creativity of early childhood in CEMERLANG PAUD Deli Serdang. This study used a quantitative descriptive type with quasi experiments design, and used the Time Series Design system. The research subjects were 20 young children aged 5-6 years which were divided into 2 experimental groups, namely experiment I with sand games consisting of 10 students and experiment II with plasticine games. consists of 10 students at CEMERLANG PAUD Deli Serdang. Hypothesis testing is done using the Wiloxon Signed Rank Test.Hypothesis test results show that there is an effect of early childhood creativity before and after playing sand games with an average value (0.00 α = 0.021), there is an effect of early childhood creativity before and after playing plasticine games with an average value (0.00α = 0.022), and there is a difference in the creativity of children playing with sand and plasticine (0.00 α = 0.09). The results showed that there was an effect of playing sand on the creativity of early childhood in CEMERLANG PAUD Deli Serdang with an increase of 21.1%. There is an effect of playing plasticine on the creativity of early childhood in CEMERLANG PAUD Deli Serdang with an increase of 22%. There is a difference in the effect of playing sand and plasticine on the creativity of early childhood in CEMERLANG PAUD Deli Serdang by 0.9%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and teachers' attitudes with cheating behavior in students of SMA Swasta Islam Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. This type of research uses a correlational quantitative approach with multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. Sampling was done with the Total Sampling technique from a total population of 107 students obtained after the screening process. This study uses scale instruments of religiosity, teacher attitudes and cheating behavior. The results showed that: a) there is a significant negative relationship between religiosity and cheating behavior in students, which is indicated by a correlation coefficient (rx1y) = - 0.485; p = 0.000 0.05; and the weight of the relationship contribution is 30%. b) there is a significant negative relationship between teacher attitudes and cheating behavior in students, where the value of the correlation coefficient (rx2y) = - 0.547; p = 0.000 0.05; and the weight of the relationship contribution is 23.5%. c) there is a significant negative relationship between religiosity and teacher attitudes with students' cheating behavior, which is indicated by a correlation coefficient (R) = - 0.569; p = - 0.000 0.05; Freg = 24.943, then it can be concluded that the variables of religiosity and teacher attitudes together or simultaneously are related to the variables of cheating behavior. Thus it is stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is declared accepted.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between self-control and online game addiction in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research hypothesis is there is a positive relationship between online game addiction in teenager environment Jl. Enggang Peumnas Mandala Medan. This studi uses a total sampling technique in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan consisting 75 teenagers. The scale method used in this was online game addiction and self-control scale. The data analysis used in this research was product moment with the help of computer program for MS. Windows version 22. The results of data analysis show that the value of the correlation coefficient (r)0,557 and significant (p) = 0,000 wich means p 0,05 there is  a correlation  between  online game addiction and self-control in teenagers environment Jl. Enggang Perumnas Mandala Medan. Variable online game addiction has an empirical average (RE) 141,93 and a hypothetical is (RH) 117 means that online game addiction is high, variable self-control has an empirical average (Re) 87,41 and a Hypothetical is (RH) 77 means that self-control is moderate.

Abstract

This study was aimed to see the correlation between self ssteem and economic Social of parents with assertive behavior of the UPT SMPN 1 Nibung Hangus students. The population in this research is the students of UPT SMPN 1 Nibung Hangus students amounting 250 students and the sample was 154 students where the sample was taken using proportional random sampling. Questionnaire were data collection techniques, data analysis is recorded with product moment correlation, the hypothesist test used, t test, F test, and determination test. The results showed that: (1) There was a significant positive correlation between self ssteem and economic social of parents with assertive behavior with the significance value of 0.001 < 0,05. The contribution of self esteem and economic social of parents is seen from the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0,620 or 62,0%. (2) There was a significant positive correlation between self esteem with assertive behavior the significance value of 0.002 < 0,05. The contribution of self esteem is seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) = 54,4%. 3) There was a significant positive correlation between economic social of parents with assertive behavior with the significance value of 0,01<0,05. Contribution of economic status of parents seen from the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0,620 or 62,0%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between self ssteem and economic Social of parents with assertive behavior of the UPT SMPN 1 Nibung Hangus students.

Abstract

Empirically, this study aims to see the correlation between achievement motivation and family support with student involvement. Student engagement is the frequency with which students have a will in routine activities and school programs both inside and outside the classroom with behavioral, emotional and cognitive indicators during their studies at school. The population of this study were 120 students and 120 students as the research sample, with the sampling technique using the total sampling technique. The data collection technique used a scale, namely the student engagement scale, the achievement motivation scale and the family support scale. Data analysis techniques and hypothesis testing use the structural equation model-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results showed that the proposed hypothesis was accepted, namely: (1) there was a correlation between achievement motivation and student engagement, with a t-count of 2.623 > 1.96 and a p-value of 0.009 <0.05, and a significant positive correlation. (2) there is a correlation between family support and student engagement, with a t-count of 2.645 > 1.96 and a p-value of 0.008 <0.05, and a significant positive correlation. (3) there is a correlation between family support and student engagement, with an R2 value of 0.202 (20.2%), however, the correlation between the two independent variables is weak. 008 <0.05, and a significant positive correlation.
