Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine changes in physical characteristics in tenderloin beef due to soaking in various parts of pineapple with different soaking times. The portion of pineapple that is used includes the meat, middle weevil, bark and leaves. The treatment of beef has inside without soaking pineapple was stated as control. The measured variables are pH, weight and temperature of beef has in. Observations were carried out for 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 to 60 minutes soaking. The results showed that beef has been deep for 60 minutes soaking with the juice of the pineapple fruit changes in pH, weight and temperature. The pH value of meat on soaking meat, tubers and pineapple leaves is relatively the same. The weight of pineapple flesh increases along with the immersion of the pineapple juice. The temperature of beef has decreased in except for soaking with tuber juice and pineapple meat.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the centers for planting long beans that have extensive genetic diversity. Purple long bean is one of the new long bean varieties. There has not been much research on this purple-bean long bean seed. Information about the addition of purple long bean seeds is still very limited. One of the important things in germination is the selection of appropriate media. Germination media play an important role in helping to accelerate seed germination and each type of seed plant has different tendencies about media suitable for germination. The purpose of this study was to determine the best germination media for purple-bean long beans.This research was conducted at F6 Campus Gunadarma University located at Depok (±115 m above sea level) on January 2019. The treatment was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with ten replications. The treatment was germination media, i.e organic fertilizer (M1), sand (M2), and organic fertilizer : sand (1:1) (M3). The result showed that germination media had significant effect toward sproud height, number of leaves, leaf area, root lenght and fresh weight sproud. this study concluded that organic fertilizer is the best media for germination of purple long beans.Keywords : biomassa, organic, vegetatif growth

Abstract

Tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum) is a horticultural plant that has high economic value. The demand for tomatoes per year is an average of 20%. In order to meet the demand for tomatoes, it is necessary to increase tomato production both in quality and quantity. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (BPF), the use of organic matter, and the effect of the interaction of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (BPF) and organic matter on soil pH, soil available P, the number of P solvent microbial populations and the growth of tomato plants. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was the concentration of Pseudomonas sp. which consists of 3 levels, namely without giving the bacteria Pseudomonas sp. (P0), giving the bacteria Pseudomonas sp. 10 ml (P1), and giving the bacteria Pseudomonas sp. 20 ml (P2). The second factor was the provision of organic material in the form of goat manure dosage consisting of 2 levels, namely without organic material (B0), and with organic material of 100 gr / polybag (P1). The parameters observed were plant height growth, number of leaves, shoot wet weight, crown dry weight, number of flowers, available soil P, soil pH, and the total population of soil P solubilizing microbes. The results showed that there was an interaction between the inoculum of Pseudomonas sp. and organic matter affects the growth of plant height, number of leaves, shoot wet weight, crown dry weight, number of flowers, available soil P, soil pH, and total soil P solvent microbes

Abstract

Sistem pintar adalah penerapan sistem yang mencerminkan metode pemrosesan otak manusia. Sistem cerdas secara otomatis terkomputerisasi yang bertujuan membantu pekerjaan yang dirancang oleh manusia untuk pemantauan terus menerus dengan akurasi tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan sistem pintar yang memantau nutrisi dalam sistem hidroponik. Hidroponik adalah metode penanaman tanaman dengan menggunakan air sebagai pengganti media tanah yang membutuhkan perawatan dan pemeliharaan tanaman untuk tumbuh dengan baik. Hidroponik membutuhkan sejumlah nutrisi. Masalah menjadi nutrisi, selain dikonsumsi oleh tanaman yang ditemukan dalam sistem hidroponik, karena kandungan tingkat nutrisi berkurang, nutrisi mengalami pengurangan kandungan nutrisi yang disebabkan oleh perubahan suhu dan kelembaban dalam larutan nutrisi dalam wadah penyimpanan larutan nutrisi. Penelitian ini dicoba sistem cerdas untuk memantau kadar nutrisi dalam sistem hidroponik menggunakan sensor nutrisi, suhu, dan kelembaban. Pemantauan nutrisi memerlukan metode analitik dalam mengukur tingkat nutrisi untuk menentukan daya hantar listrik (DHL) pada sistem hidroponik. Berdasarkan hasil DHL yang diperoleh, jika hasil pengukuran berada di bawah batas yang ditentukan, sistem akan meningkatkan larutan nutrisi. Sedangkan jika itu di atas batas nilai DHL, sistem akan menambah air. Penentuan batas akan memberikan efek pertumbuhan tanaman hidroponik yang baik dan stabil serta konsentrasi tingkat nutrisi dan suhu terhadap perubahan yang efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Kacang Panjang merupakan salah satu sayuran unggulan Indonesia. Kacang panjang banyak mengandung vitamin A, B dan C, terutama dalam polong muda. Biji kacang panjang juga banyak mengandung protein, lemak, dan karbohidrat. Kacang panjang berpolong ungu adalah salah satu varietas kacang panjang baru. Penelitian tentang biji kacang panjang ungu belum banyak dilakukan. Informasi tentang perkecambahan biji kacang panjang ungu masih sangat terbatas. Salah satu hal penting dalam perkecambahan adalah pemupukan yang optimal. Optimalnya ketersediaan hara akan mempercepat pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan dosis pemupukan terbaik untuk perkecambahan kacang panjang berpolong ungu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampus F6 Universitas Gunadarma yang berlokasi di Depok (± 115 m di atas permukaan laut) pada Oktober 2018. Perlakuan dilakukan dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan sepuluh ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah dosis pemupukan AB Mix, yaitu 1.25 g/L (P1), 2.5 g/L (P2), 3.75 g/L (P3) dan 5 g/L (P4). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis pemupukan AB Mix berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi kecambah (cm) pada 9 dan 11 HST, luas daun (cm2) dan bobot segar kecambah (g). Dosis pemupukan terbaik AB Mix untuk perkecambahan benih kacang panjang ungu adalah 4.05 g/L.

Abstract

Smart systems are the application of a system that mirrors the method of processing the human brain. Smart systems are automatically computerized; the purpose of helping a work designed by humans requires monitoring continuous with high accuracy. The purpose of the research was to implement a smart system that is monitoring nutrients in hydroponic systems. Hydroponic is a method of planting a plant by using water as a substitute for soil media that requires care and maintenance of plants to grow properly. Hydroponic requires a number of nutrients. Problems into nutrition, apart from being consumed by plants found in hydroponic systems, because the content of nutrient levels to reduce, nutrients experience a reduction in nutrient content caused by changes in temperature and humidity in nutrient solutions in nutrient solution storage containers. This study was tried a smart system to monitor nutrient levels in hydroponic systems using nutrient sensors, temperature, and humidity. Nutrition monitoring requires an analytical method in measuring nutrient levels to determine Electrical Conductivity (EC) in hydroponic plants. Based on the EC results obtained, if measured below the specified limit, it will increase the nutrient solution. Whereas if it is above the EC value limit, it will add water. Determination of the boundary will give the effect of the growth of hydroponic plants that are good and stable and the concentration of nutrient levels and temperature on changes effectively and efficiently. Keywords : Smart control, Hydroponic Media, Nutrients, Electrical Conductivity (EC)

Abstract

Chinese mustard is one of the most important vegetables of the Brassica (Brassicaceae) genus with high consumption in the world. Mustards content of selected compounds, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, vitamin C, carotene, and lutein. Mustard is one of the plants that can be cultivated on hydroponics. The NFT system is a type of hydroponic system that placing the plant on an oblique irrigation channel. The important thing in hydroponic fertilization was to ensure the concentration of nutrient solution that suits the plant and its life cycle. The purpose of this research was to determine the best consentration for the growth Chinese mustard on in NFT system. This research was conducted at F6 Campus Gunadarma University located at Depok (±115 m above sea level) from March to April 2017. The treatment was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with five replications. The treatment was concentration of hydroponic solution i.e. 1050 ppm, 1200 ppm and 1400 ppm. Treatment of  difference of nutrient solution concentration had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaf, root length, number of root and fresh harvest weight. The best concentration of nutrient solution in this study was 1050 ppm nutrition solution. The concentration of 1050 ppm is a better treatment than the 1200 ppm and 1400 ppm nutrient treatment because it is more efficient in the use of Vegemix A Hydrofarm and Vegemix B Hydrofarm solution.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah salah satu pusat penanaman kacang panjang yang memiliki keragaman genetik yang luas. Kacang panjang ungu adalah salah satu varietas kacang panjang baru. Penelitian tentang biji kacang panjang ungu belum banyak dilakukan. Informasi tentang perkecambahan biji kacang panjang ungu masih sangat terbatas. Salah satu hal penting dalam perkecambahan adalah pemilihan media yang tepat. Media perkecambahan memainkan peran penting dalam membantu mempercepat perkecambahan benih dan setiap jenis tanaman benih memiliki kecenderungan berbeda tentang media yang cocok untuk perkecambahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan media perkecambahan terbaik untuk kacang panjang ungu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampus F6 Universitas Gunadarma yang berlokasi di Depok (± 115 m di atas permukaan laut) pada Januari 2019. Perlakuan dilakukan dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan sepuluh ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah media perkecambahan, yaitu pupuk organik (M1), pasir (M2), dan pupuk organik: pasir (1: 1) (M3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media perkecambahan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi kecambah, jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang akar, dan kecambah bobot segar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pupuk organik adalah media terbaik untuk perkecambahan biji panjang ungu.

Abstract

Hydroponic is one of the future agricultural systems because it can becultivated in various places, whether in village, city, on open land or onapartment. NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) is a model of hydroponic cultivation by placing plant roots in a shallow water layer. Pak choi attracted by many people because pak choi rich in vitamin A, E, and K were beneficial for health. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of the growth of pak choi on the treatment of hydroponic nutrition solution concentration in NFT system. This research was conducted at F6 Campus Gunadarma University located at Depok from March to April 2017. The experiment design was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with one factor, that is the concentration of hydroponic solution (1050 ppm, 1200 ppm and 1400 ppm) with 5 replications. The Results were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with 5% significant level. If it is significantly different, then further test was done by DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test). The results of this research indicated that the treatment of nutrient solution concentration did not affect the growth of pak choi such as plant height, number of leaves, root number, root length, weight per plant, crown weight per plant, root weight per plant, leaf surface area, leaf color and root color. The best treatment is 1050 ppm because with low concentrations of nutrient solution produced the same pak choi growth with other treatments

Abstract

Buah tomat memiliki manfaat yang besar pada masyarakat baik digunakan sebagai tambahan dalam pembuatan sayur maupun dikonsumsi segar sebagai buah. Buah tomat tergolong dalam buah klimaterik dan perishable yang mudah mengalami kerusakan mutu. Penanganan yang baik pascapanen dapat mempertahankan mutu dan memperpanjang umur simpan buah tomat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pencucian dengan larutan garam dan/atau kunyit pada susut bobot dan total padatan terlarut pada buah tomat yang disimpan selama 5 hari. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pencucian dengan perlakuan larutan garam dan/atau kunyit tidak berpengaruh nyata pada susut bobot dan total padatan terlarut buah tomat yang disimpan selama 5 hari. Pada perlakuan penyimpanan hari ke 5, buah tomat kontrol mengalami penambahan bobot dan mengalami kebusukan. Susut bobot tertinggi pada hari ke 5 adalah buah tomat dengan nilai perlakuan larutan garam 10% (b/v). Perlakuan larutan garam 10% (b/v) dan kunyit 10% (b/v) memiliki susut bobot yang rendah dengan kondisi masih segar sehingga cukup baik untuk diberikan pada tahap pencucian buah tomat pascapanen.
