Abstract

Mesoporous silica is a silica solid with pores between 2-50 nm which can be used in the fields of adsorption, medicine, catalyst synthesis, material purification and stationary phase for chromatography. Mesoporous silica is generally synthesized using TEOS or TMOS, but these precursors are relatively expensive. Na2SiO3 is a precursor of mesoporous silica which is more economical and easy to obtain. Basic materials that contain a lot of silica such as chert can be synthesized into Na2SiO3. Mesoporous silica synthesis generally uses surfactants as templates for the polymerization of silica, therefore a cosolvent is needed that can act as a crystal size enlarger by interacting with surfactants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of hexane on the synthesis of mesoporous silica symbolized by SM and SMH5. Mesoporous silica was synthesized using the sol-gel method with the basic ingredients of Na2SiO3 from chert, P104 as a surfactant, HCl as a solvent and n-hexane as an additive to increase crystal size. Mesoporous silica was characterized using XRD. The results of measurements using XRD showed that the X-ray difragtogram pattern showed peaks at an angle of 2ϴ = 22.29o and 25.33o for SM and SMH5 products, respectively.

Abstract

DSSC (Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell) is a type of third-generation solar cell based on dye as a photon absorber that has been widely used. In this study, modifications were made to tannin dyes to increase double bonds. Modifications were also carried out on the semiconductor by means of TiO2-CuO doping. TiO2-CuO doping can reduce the energy gap thereby increasing the TiO2 conductivity. The dyes were characterized using FTIR and GC-MS, while the TiO2-CuO doping was characterized using a UV-DRS Spectrophotometer. The results of FTIR characterization of poly tannin dyes have shown specific groups of polymerization of polytannin glutaraldehyde resin. The characterization of TiO2-CuO doping showed a decrease in the energy gap of 3,2 eV to 3,01 eV. The highest efficiency was produced at 90 minutes polymer time with a tannin monomer concentration of 0,4 M of 8,332%.

Abstract

Plastic is a polymer that we use a lot in everyday life, but it has a bad impact on the environment because it is difficult to degrade in nature. Therefore, a study was carried out to make plastic that is more environmentally friendly, namelyplastic Biodegradable that utilizes bacterial cellulose from Acetobacter xylinum with old coconut water as a medium with the addition of a plasticizer in the form of Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) and the addition of gum arabic additives with variations in the mass of gum arabic, namely 0g , 1g, 3g, 5g and 7g. The bacterial cellulose plastic PEG gum arabic produced was characterized includingwater content, degree ofswelling,testtensile strength, elongation, elasticity, ability biodegradation, functional group analysis (FTIR) and crystallinity test (XRD). The results of testing the water content and degree of swelling on PEG gum arabic bacterial cellulose plastic, obtained plastic with the more mass of gum arabic added, the greater the percentage of water content and degree of swelling. The results of mechanical testing showed an increase in the value of tensile strength and elasticity along with the amount of gum arabic added but the elongation value decreased. In the biodegradation test, it was found that the more gum arabic which was added, the biodegradation ability increased. The analysis of the plastic functional groups showed that there were no new groups formed. Crystallinity analysis showed that the addition of gum arabic can reduce the percentage of crystallinity.

Abstract

Mesopore silica modified with dimethylamine is one of the adsorbents used as a functional group for anion exchange and anion separation. Mesopore silica with the addition of amine compounds can be used to see the absorption capacity of silica against chromate anions using the column method. The absorption capacity of the chromate anion is 0.8609 mg/g with an absorption percentage of 99.3%. If the adsorption process has been maximized, the surface of the adsorbent is saturated or no longer able to absorb the adsorbate and equilibrium occurs, it can be continued with the desorption process. The factor used to see this desorption ability is the type of desorption, namely hydrochloric acid (HCl) with a release of 0.4061 mg of chromate anion with a desorption percentage of 95.3% and an optimum concentration of 0.1 M HCl with a release of 0.4287 mg chromate anion with a desorption percentage of 100%.

Abstract

An analysis study of the relationship between the net atomic charge modeling of 13 aryloxy metronidazole derivative compounds as anti-breast cancer has been carried out, which aims to obtain the net atomic charge value and the HKSA equation. The method used is the semi-empirical method of Austin Model 1 by performing geometry optimization. The best equation model selection is done by means of statistical correlation analysis and multilinear regression with the Backward. From the research results, model 1 is the best model with the equation LogIC50=-777.834+(146.644*qC2)+(434.317*qC5)+(1299.237*qN7)-(243.853*qO8)-(65.686*qC10)-(137.823 *qC11)+(66.348*qO12) Dengan n=7; R= 0.943; R2= 0.89; SE= 0.14774; Sig= 0.036; PRESS= 0.10914.
