Abstract

The hydrophobic surface can be self-cleaning. The hierarchy of surface roughness affects the hydrophobic surface. In this research, the hydrophobic surface was fabricated by modification of surface roughness from the composite filler. Natural silica was used as a filler and was done a variation of calcination temperature to modify the hierarchy of roughness formed. The variation of calcination temperature was 800°C, 1000°C, 1200°C, and 1400°C. The coating method was a dip-coating method by 30-second long immersion. A glass as coating media was coated by PVDF/SiO2 composite. The hydrophobic surface could be known from the value of the water contact angle (WCA) formed. If a water contact angle more than 90°, the surface could be called the hydrophobic surface. In this research, the hydrophobicity aspect cause of variation of calcination temperature was known from the value of water contact angle formed on the surface of PVDF/SiO2 composite coating 800°C, 1000°C, 1200°C, and 1400°C was 117,12° ± 0,98°, 107,80° ± 0,91°, 121,31° ± 1,45°, and 111,75° ± 1,47°, respectively.

Abstract

Terinspirasi dengan biomimetic dari daun talas, permukaan hydrophobic dalam penelitian ini dibuat dengan modifikasi kekasaran dari SiO2 (Silika). TEOS (Tetraethyl Orthosilicate) digunakan sebagai sumber silika yang menghasilkan prekursor SiO2 dengan kemurnian 98,3±0,020 %. Prekursor silika diperoleh dari metode sol gel dengan HCL 0,1 M sebagai katalis. Hasil sintesis ini menghasilkan fasa amorf dengan distribusi ukuran partikel 1232 nm. Prekursor SiO2 diberi perlakuan panas dengan variasi temperatur kalsinasi 800, 1000, 1100, 1150, dan 1200 °C dengan waktu tahan selama 2 jam. Fasa silika hasil dari kalsinasi yaitu semua amorphous dengan puncak berada pada sudut ±21 °2θ. Lapisan hydrophobic diperoleh dengan menggunakan spray gun dengan fasa filler silika hasil kalsinasi berupa fasa amorf. Distribusi ukuran partikel filler silika hasil kalsinasi temperatur 800, 1000, 1100, 1150, dan 1200 °C berturut-turut sebesar 534,9 nm, 538,3 nm, 792,7 nm, 564,3 nm, dan 680,9 nm. Sedangkan permukaan dengan sudut kontak air dengan filler silika hasil kalsinasi temperatur 800, 1000, 1100, 1150, dan 1200 °C berturut-turut sebesar  96,86°, 90,71°, 80,33°, 92,52°, dan 90,61°.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis memiliki peranan penting bagi siswa. Salah satunya untuk memudahkan siswa berpikir kritis dan memperdalam daya tanggap siswa. Melalui kegiatan menulis, guru dapat mendorong siswa dalam mengasah dan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa yaitu dengan menulis puisi. Penulisan suatu karya dapat diasah dengan beberapa model pembelajaran, salah satunya yaitu model examples non examples. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan model examples non examples menggunakan media gambar pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Al Falah Pacul Bojonegoro Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data melalui observasi langsung terhadap siswa kelas VIII SMP Al Falah Pacul Bojonegoro Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 dalam proses pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan model pembelajaran examples non examples. Model pembelajaran tersebut menggunakan media gambar untuk merangsang siswa aktif, imaginatif, dan kreatif dalam kegiatan menulis puisi. Pada proses pengumpulan data digunakan dua siklus yaitu siklus I sebagai data sebelum diberikan model pembelajaran examples non examples dan siklus II sebagai data setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran examples non examples. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa kualitas hasil pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan model pembelajaran examples non examples dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Hasil ini dapat diketahui dari peningkatan minat siswa dalam menulis dan membacakan puisi di depan atau presentasi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The hydroponic method is a method of planting using planting media other than natural soil, including using water. Hydroponic plant cultivation exists in a nutrient solution but not from the soil. The advantage of the hydroponic method is that only uses a narrow land as a medium. By utilizing used glass can also be used to make hydroponic plant cultivation. In this community service activity, training and socialization on hydroponic cultivation were carried out to optimize the narrow land in the community of Pacul Village, Bojonegoro sub-district, Bojonegoro Regency. The activity was carried out by socializing the existence of hydroponic training for residents of Pacul Bojonegoro Village to increasing the public skills. Participants in the training were 31 PKK members. The achievement of the training activities can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test. The result of this hydroponic training and socialization is that there is an increase in the information on the assessment of strongly agreeing with the questions and questionnaire statements from 18‒45%.

Abstract

– k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) is one of the popular classification algorithms and is widely used to solve classification cases. This is because the k-NN algorithm has advantages such as being simple, easy to explain, and easy to implement. However, the k-NN algorithm has a lack of classification results that are strongly influenced by the scale of input data and Euclidean which treats attribute data evenly, not according to the relevance of each data attribute. This causes a decrease in the classification results. One way to improve the classification accuracy performance of the k-NN algorithm is the method of weighting its features when measuring the Euclidean distance. The exponential function of the optimized Euclidean distance measurement is applied to the k-NN algorithm as a distance measurement method. Improving the performance of the k-NN method with the Exponential function for weighting features on k-NN will be carried out by experimentation using the Data Mining method. Then the results of the performance of the objective method will be compared with the original k-NN method and the previous k-NN weighting research method. As a result of the closest distance decision, taking the closest distance to k-NN will be determined with a value of k=5. After the experiment, the goal algorithm was compared with the k-NN, Wk-NN, and DWk-NN algorithms. Overall the comparison results obtained an average value of k-NN 85.87%, Wk-NN 86.98%, DWk-NN 88.19% and the k-NN algorithm given the weighting of the Exponential function obtained a value of 90.17%.

Abstract

Carbon has an amorphous structure and a crystalline structure. The amorphous structure of carbon is usually found in charcoal, while the crystalline structure of carbon can be obtained from heat treatment. In the present study, the synthesis of carbon nanocrystals based on corn cob charcoal was successfully carried out. The synthesis began with the carbonization process of corn cobs to produce charcoal. Corn cob charcoal powder was then put into 80 mL of HCl solution and stirred using a magnetic stirrer by a speed of 750 rpm at room temperature and 80 mL of NH4OH solution was titrated into it. After the synthesis, the carbon powder was calcined at 400°C and activated using PEG 2000 template. The samples were tested using XRD (X-ray Diffraction) and SEM-EDX (Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-ray). The carbon component (C) from the EDX test after the synthesis and carbonization process had an atomic percentage of 56.89% and increased by 81.06 % after PEG 2000 activation. The results of the X-ray diffraction pattern show that in all samples a broad and weak diffraction pattern was the characteristic of amorphous carbon. However, on carbon heated for 5 hours at 400°C and the addition of PEG 2000 activator, the crystal structure pattern with higher diffraction peaks was obtained and the peaks of diffraction were matched with CIF data 9008569 from phase C Graphite which had a space group P of 63 mc. SEM data on the morphology of the material showed that after receiving PEG activator, the carbon particles were split into smaller ones so that it increased in surface area and showed fairly even distribution of pores which was also seen in the surface morphology of the carbon

Abstract

Waste is the most common problem in everyday life. Waste that is scattered and piled up can become a hotbed of disease, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. In this study purpose to design and build a trash can works automatically. The method in design and build an automatic trash can is using waterfall method. The trash can designed using Arduino Uno microcontroller, HC-SR04 sensor and SG90 servo motor. The automatic trash can works is to detect the distance then processed by the arduino microcontroller and so SG90 servo motor will move to open and close the trash can automatically. The result of this research is that the design of the trash can can be opened with an object distance of less than 50 cm and will close for pause of 5 seconds.

Abstract

The case of crop failure caused by pest attacks is one of the problems in agriculture that is always interesting to study. Apart from weather factors, pest attacks on rice and corn agricultural commodities often occur just before harvest time. Currently, farmers often use toxic materials and even electricity as a means to repel and eradicate rat pests. However, this method can be dangerous for the farmers themselves. There have even been several cases of death due to electrical equipment installed in agricultural areas. Based on these problems, a pest repellent will be made by utilizing ultrasonic waves from a solar-powered power source so that it can be used efficiently, practically and safely. This tool is built using IC NE556C, Solar Panel, LDR Sensor (Light Dependent Resistor), and Ultrasonic Piezo PTC 4000 Speaker. IC NE556C timer and ultrasonic wave multivibrator are used to generate ultrasonic waves randomly according to the program. The purpose of making this tool is as an alternative to field mouse pest repellent using ultrasonic waves by utilizing solar energy in handling pests in agricultural areas.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan usia dini yang banyak diadakan oleh yayasan pendidikan mempunyai konsep yang berbeda-beda. Salah satu yayasan pendidikan anak yang ada di sugihwaras bojonegoro adalah RA Alfathimiyah. Anak-anak yang bersekolah disana dengan berbagai sifat yang berbeda-beda. Ada beberapa anak yang sifatnya dominan temperamen dan introvert. Setelah dikaji, anak-anak tersebut ketika di rumah terlalu banyak melakukan kegiatan screen time tanpa pengawasan yang tepat dari orang tua mereka. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, maka diadakan sosialisasi kepada guru dan orang tua anak mengenai penerapan penggunaan media internet pada pembelajaran anak usia dini di RA Al fathimiyah sugihwaras. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru untuk disosialisasikan kepada orang tua mengenai penerapan media internet yang tepat untuk anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi dengan memberikan pre-test, presentasi, dan post-test kepada guru dan orang tua. Kegiatan sosialisasi telah dilakukan pada 18 Desember 2021 dengan peserta 30 orang. Dari hasil pre-test ditunjukkan bahwa orang tua memberikan gadget kepada anak 44% mulai usia 2 tahun, 55% mulai usia 3 tahun, dan 15 mulai usia 4 tahun. Sedangkan dari hasil post-test ditunjukkan bahwa 78% peserta sudah memahami penggunaan gadget dengan durasi waktu yang sesuai dengan usia anak dan semua peserta sudah melakukan pengalihan aktivitas untuk meminimalisir anak bermedia internet. AbstractEarly childhood education held by many educational foundations has different concepts. One of the children's education foundations in Sugihwaras Bojonegoro is RA Alfathimiyah. The children who go to school there are of many different natures. There are some children whose temperament is dominant and introverted. After studied, these children when at home do too much screen time without proper supervision from their parents. With these problems, socialization was held to teachers and parents of children regarding the application of the use of internet media in early childhood learning at RA Al Fathimiyah Sugihwaras. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge to teachers to be socialized to parents regarding the application of appropriate internet media for early childhood. The method used is socialization by giving pre-test, presentation, and post-test to teachers and parents. The socialization activity was carried out on December 18, 2021 with 30 participants. From the results of the pre-test, it was shown that parents gave gadgets to their children 44% from the age of 2 years, 55% from the age of 3 years, and 15 from the age of 4 years. Meanwhile, from the post-test results, it was shown that 78% of participants had understood the use of gadgets with a time duration that was appropriate to the child's age and all participants had diverted activities to minimize children using internet media.
