Abstract

Lack of knowledge about local wisdom and national identity is one of the causes of the emergence of problems of moral and character decline experienced by most of the young generation today. One of the ways that teachers do in instilling student character is by applying local wisdom-based learning. The obstacle that is often experienced by junior high school science teachers in Ternate City in learning is the difficulty of integrating local wisdom into the material to be taught to students, as a solution to raise the local potential of an area, teachers are required to always innovate to be able to design learning based on local wisdom. Ternate has a variety of local wisdom potentials that can be used as learning resources by designing learning scenarios based on Ternate local wisdom, one of which is by mapping basic competencies to ensure the suitability of subject matter to be integrated with local wisdom objects. The integration of local wisdom in learning is done by making local wisdom a context for discovering scientific concepts. The stages in designing learning are identifying the potential of local wisdom, analyzing scientific concepts contained in local wisdom objects, mapping Basic Competencies and local wisdom, designing learning scenarios and designing teaching materials in the context of local wisdom

Abstract

This research is important to be carried out in the Basic Teaching Ability course in the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Unkhair because this course is one of the cores that support a graduate to become a prospective biology teacher. The purpose of this research is to produce case-oriented teaching materials to improve the 21st century skills of students in the Basic Teaching Skills course. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE development model. The results showed that the results of the validation of the syllabus on the content aspect presented had a validation level of 95.33, the category was very valid, the discussion aspect had a validation level of 98.00 and the time aspect obtained was 98.00. It can be concluded that the three aspects are considered very good and suitable for use in the learning process with an average percentage of 97.11. Furthermore, at the evaluation stage, a limited test was conducted to determine the effectiveness of using case-oriented teaching materials to improve students' 21st century skills. The trial was conducted on second semester students of the Khairun University biology education study program. The test results show that there is an increase in the 21st century skills of students after learning by using case-oriented teaching materials

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain initial information about the perception and knowledge of IT Literacy as well as a profile of the basic knowledge of elementary and MI teachers throughout Ternate about IT literacy. This study uses a survey research method with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews on a predetermined sample of 25 schools and madrasah with a sample of teachers who were determined randomly. The data is calculated based on the number of checklists filled in by the respondents, then a percentage is used to determine the level of perception of each teacher. The results showed that the highest ability of teachers to operate Microsoft Office was in elementary schools located in the central and northern areas of Ternate City, which were 58% and 50% respectively. Meanwhile, the average IT support skills for elementary school teachers have not met the standard, which is <50%. The basic literacy ability of IT teachers is also relatively low, at 56%. The researcher's recommendation is that it is necessary to conduct IT training for elementary school teachers in 4 sub-districts of the city of Ternate, and continuous assistance so that the learning process becomes quality and student learning outcomes are further improved

Abstract

If students are interested in the subjects they are studying, they will understand the concept of biology that is being taught. Students' interest in learning is thought to be influenced by the use of instructional media, such as powerpoint-based subject matter. The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether class X students at SMAN 4 Ternate City are interested in studying biology. A questionnaire with 30 statement items that students filled out on a Google form is used in this type of research. Students' enjoyment, interest, and involvement in biology are all identified as indicators of interest in the questionnaire. The foundation of data analysis is the process of interpreting each student's questionnaire scores into very good, good, poor, and not good categories. The results of the study revealed that indicators of student enjoyment were 65.82 percent, student interest was 71.53 percent, attention was 72.21 percent, and involvement was 78.30 percent. According to the findings of this study, 71.97% of students have a moderate level of interest when using powerpoint media to participate in biology lessons. When the teacher shows and displays PowerPoint media and there are certain parts of the material that students do not understand, students will attempt to read repeatedly on biology material on PowerPoint media and ask the teacher if they do not. This is one of the very best indicators of student involvement in biology learning.
