Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe: (1) the validity of the science module integrating local wisdom on biotechnology, (2) the practicality of the module, and (3) the effectiveness of the module. Module development implements only three stages of the 4D model, namely (define, design, and develop). The instruments implemented in the research include learning achievement tests, student response questionnaires, and science module validation sheets. The research resulted in validating the science module integrating local wisdom from experts who showed very valid criteria by obtaining a score of 3.86. The learning outcomes test in this module is also very valid, with a score of 3.82. The results of the practicality of the module obtained a value of 86.18% which was indicated by efficient criteria. The IPA module integrates local wisdom and is also declared effective by obtaining an n-gain of 0.82 with high criteria. From these results, it can be concluded that the science module integrating local wisdom in the biotechnology material developed can be implemented as teaching material because the test results are feasible and valid.

Abstract

The teacher can use various learning methods to make it easier for students to process learning outcomes, and what has been planned can be achieved as well and as easily as possible by students. Therefore, the researcher wants to develop LKPD with Wetland Context on water pollution sub-materials. The wetlands presented in this study are rivers that will be directly observed for pollution that occurs in the river. This research is research and development using a 4D model (define, design, develop and disseminate). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin. The aims of the researchers in carrying out this development were 1) to validate the LKPD in the wetland context, 2) to determine the practicality of the LKPD in the wetland context, and 3) to determine the effectiveness of the LKPD in the wetland context. The research instruments include learning achievement tests, response questionnaires, and validation. LKPD obtains a validity value of 3.49 with valid criteria. Practicality gets a score of 82.00% with very practical criteria. Effectiveness with a gain calculation of 0.86 with high criteria. This LKPD is suitable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

The learning process motivates the development of scientific literacy-based teaching materials on the material of soil formation processes and soil constituent components. So far, it has only used teaching materials in school textbooks. The purpose of the researchers in carrying out this development was to find out 1) the validity of scientific literacy-based teaching materials on the process of soil formation and soil constituents, (2) the practicality of teaching materials, and (3) the effectiveness of teaching materials. Development of teaching materials using the 4D model (define, design, develop and disseminate). The instruments implemented in the research include learning achievement tests, student response questionnaires, and teaching material validation sheets. The research validated scientific literacy-based teaching materials, showing very valid criteria by obtaining a score of 3.70. The learning outcomes test on this teaching material was also very valid, with a value of 3.51. The results of the practicality of teaching materials obtained a value of 70.85% which was indicated by practical criteria. Teaching materials based on scientific literacy were also declared effective by obtaining an n-gain of 0.91 with high criteria. From these results, the advanced scientific literacy-based teaching materials can be implemented as teaching materials because the test results are declared feasible and valid.
