Abstract

TALENT TRENDS IDENTIFICATION AND THE EFFECT ON LEARNING OUTCOMES OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING STUDENTS. The success of the learning process undertaken by individuals is not only determined by a single factor. Learning is a mental process, therefore identification of the influence of mental state is something very important. The mental aspect that allegedly influences individual learning outcomes is potential; talent. The purpose of this research is to identify student talent so that lecturers can do the learning process by taking into account individual differences, potentials and talents. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah University of Metro. The population is all students of Guidance and Counseling University of Muhammadiyah Metro and the sample is determined by stratified random sampling. The research instrument uses talent test and student learning outcomes in the form of KHS. Analysis of correlational data using product moment. The results showed scholastic talent and student learning outcomes Guidance and Counseling University Muhammadiyah Metro is in the medium category. The contribution of scholastic talent to learning result or achievement index is 55,5%. and the correlation is 0.747 with sig.0.00.

Abstract

IDENTIFICATION OF LEARNING STYLES BASED FROM SPECIAL TALENT STUDENT PROGRAM STUDY OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING UM METRO. Pragmatism of educational practice can be seen from learning process without based of individual characteristics. This condition appears in the selection of methods and strategies of lstudents who tend to be oriented towards teacher oriented. In learning identification the characteristics of students are very poorly identified by teachers. Based from the problems, it is very important to study and identify student talents and student learning styles. Through this research, it is expected to be a reference in the development of the learning process based of special talents and student learning styles. This study aims to identify the characteristics of talent, learning styles, and the relationship between talent and learning styles in students. The method used is correlational research. Data collection uses aptitude tests and learning style scales.The results of research is majority students guidance and counseling study program of UM Metro have special talent is vebal talent, dan characteristics of style learning is visual learning. Thus the results of the study also show that the majority of students who have a verbal talent are also types of visual learning.

Abstract

THE USING OF ANIMATION FILM IN INFORMATION SERVICE TO IMPROVE PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS. The use of animated film in information services aims to ensure that massage of information service can be well received by students, and students have good motivation in participating in services. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of film animation in information services to improve the ability to abilty of problem solve students of SMKN 3 Metro in the academic year 2019/2020. The research method used action research. The research subjects were 30 students. The research instrument is a test of problem solving skills. The results of the study were an increase in average achievement scores, in the first cycle the average score of students 'ability to solve problems was 19.5, and the second cycle was 24.19 and the difference in the scores of students' understanding scores in the second cycle with an ideal score of 7.05, in the first cycle the difference between the score with the ideal score is 11.75. Thus an increase between cycles I and II amounted to 4.70. The conclusion of the research is the animation film in information service effective to improve abilty problem solving of students SMKN 3 Metro academic year 2019/2020.
