Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan ekstrak kulit buah jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix Dc.) menjadi sediaan Shampo Antiketombe dengan variasi konsentrasi F1 tanpa ekstrak, F2 5%, F3 10% dan F4 15%. Jenis penelitian ini berupa eksperimen laboratorium dengan pengujian shampo antiketombe meliputi uji stabilitas, Organleptik, Ph, Viskositas dan uji antijamur terhadap jamur Candida albicans. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu shampo antiketombe dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15% menunjukkan Ph 5,2 – 6,8 dimana memenuhi syarat sediaan shampo yaitu antara 5,0-9,0. Secara organoleptis sediaan shampo antiketombe ekstrak kulit buah jeruk purut menunjukkan tidak ada perubahan bau, warna dan bentuk sebelum dan setelah penyimpanan dipercepat yakni sediaan shampo tetap memiliki bau yang khas, warna coklat hingga coklat tua dan bentuk yang agak kental. Hasil penelitian uji aktivitas antijamur menunjukkan Formulasi shampo antiketombe ekstrak kulit buah jeruk purut dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15% dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans dengan respon zona hambat (Kuat-sangat kuat). Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa shampo antiketombe ekstrak kulit buah jeruk purut stabil secara fisika dan kimia untuk penujian organoleptis, Ph, viskositas dan efektif sebagai antiketombe terhadap jamur Candida albicans.

Abstract

Snail shells is one of the mollusk phyla that contains protein and chitin function as protector from wind. The protector of wind is a process to prevent premature of the skin. This research aimed to find the formulation and efficacy test of snail shel cream (Achatina fulica) on rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) as protector from the wind .The type of this research used experimental method with UV exposure method using Philips light intensity 10 Mw/cm2 where the back skin of animals try to be wrinkled. The samples of snail shells (Achatina fulica) used the powdered shell is then used as the active compound in the cream dosage formulation. Cracked cream shell powder formulas are formulated in four formulas with concentration  0% (without cracked cream shell powder) 5%, 10%, 15%, and testing the skin of the rabbit’s back (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Treatment is divided into 5 treatments namely treatment 1 as positive control used cream without  active compound, treatment 2 concentration cream 5%, treatment 3 concentration cream 10%, treatment 4 concentration cream 15%, and treatment 5 as negative control used cream patent as the protector of x wind. The result of this research showed the effectivitas of concentration cream 5% which had 16,4 mm, and the positive control had 5,7 mm. Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of mahagony seeds ( Swieteniamahagoni ) tea of MDA levels induced type 2 diabetes mellitus alloxan. By using the control group design  method, post-test and by using 15 rats divided into 5 groups, namely group I negative group, group II control Alloxan induction, group III tea mahagony seeds 5 gram/kgBB, group IV tea mahagony seeds 10 gram/kgBB and group V mahagony seeds 15 gram/kgBB. The treatment was carried out for 14 days. In this research showed that the level of blood glucose affects increase of MDA levels. At 15 gram/kgBBof tea dosage presentasionshowed a significant value on decreasing blood glucose levels P = 0,000 < (α 0,05) and blood MDA levels P = 0,000 < (α 0,05) and it can be concluded that mahogany seed tea (Swieteniamahagoni) had an effect on decreasing levels of rat MDA type 2 diabetes mellitus induced by alloxan, with a dose of 15 grams /kgBB which is the optimal dose in reducing blood Glucose and MDA levels. Abstract

ABSTRACTBuah pepino memiliki kandungan seyawa yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, vitamin C yang dapat berkhasiat sebagai hepatoprotektor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas hepatoprotektor ekstrak etanol buah pepino (Solanum muricatum) terhadap tikus putih jantan  yang diinduksikan ccl4 dengan dosis ekstrak dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yaitu 100 mg/kgBB, 200 mg/kgBB dan 400 mg/kgBB. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis eksperimental menggunakan rancangan  penelitian True Experimental design. Pengujian aktivitas hepatoprotektor dengan parameter acuan nya adalah kadar SGOT dan SGPT.  Analisis hasil pengukuran SGOT dan SGPT dihitung dengan menggunakan ANOVA satu arah.  Hasil pengukuran  kadar SGPT dan SGOT dengan dosis 100 mg/kgBB, 200 mg/kgBB dan 400 mg/kg BB terjadi penurunan yang berbeda-beda .Pada SGOT penurunan tertinggi kadar terdapat pada ekstrak etanol buah pepino 100 mg/kgBB diikuti ekstrak etanol buah pepino 200 mg/kgBB lalu kelompok ekstrak etanol buah pepino 400 mg/kgBB kemudian kelompok positif dan terakhir kelompok negative .Dan pada SGPT penurunan kadar SGPT tertinggi pada kelompok control positif diikuti kelomok ekstrak etanol  buah pepino dengan konsentrasi 100 mg/kgBB, lalu ekstrak etanol buah pepino dengan konsentrasi 200 mg/kgBB, kemudian konsentrasi 400 mg/kgBB dan terakhir kelompok control negative. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buah pepino (Solanum muricatum) memiliki aktivitas hepatoprotektor pada konsentrasi 100 mg/kgBB pada kadar SGPT dan SGOT . Pepino fruit contains compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, vitamin C which can be efficacious as a hepatoprotector. This study aims to study the activity of the ethanol hepatoprotector extract of pepino fruit (Solanum muricatum) against male white rats induced by ccl4 with extract extract into three groups namely 100 mg / kg, 200 mg / kg and 400 mg / kg. This research is an experimental type using a true experimental design research design. Testing of hepatoprotector activity with reference parameters is SGOT and SGPT levels. Analysis of the results of the SGOT and SGPT measurements were calculated using one-way ANOVA. The results of the measurement of SGPT and SGOT levels with a dose of 100 mg / kgBW, 200 mg / kgBW and 400 mg / kgBW were different. 200 mg / kgBB then pepino fruit ethanol extract group 400 mg / kgBB then the positive group and finally the negative group. pepino with a concentration of 200 mg / kg, then a concentration of 400 mg / kg and finally the negative control group. Based on research that has been done, it can be concluded that the pepino fruit (Solanum muricatum) has hepatoprotector activity at a concentration of 100 mg / kgBW at SGPT and SGOT levels. Keywords : CCL4, Hepatoprotektor, Solanum muricatum.

Abstract

Daun pegagan (Centella asiatica L.) mengandung bahan aktif seperti saponin, tanin, flavonoid, steroid serta triterpenoid yang dapat mereduksi ion perak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah air rebusan daun pegagan dapat digunakan sebagai bioreduktor dalam mensintesis nanopartikel perak serta untuk mengetahui apakah hasil biosintesis daun pegagan memiliki aktivitas daya hambat terhadap bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental. Penentuan aktivitas daya hambat terhadap bakteri  Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan Staphylococcus aureus dengan metode difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukan air rebusan daun pegagan segar dapat digunakan sebagai bioreduktor dalam mensintesis nanopartikel perak yang ditandai dengan adanya puncak serapan pada panjang gelombang 400-500 nm. Ukuran nanopartikel perak yang dihasilkan berkisar 50 s/d 90 nm. Aktivitas antibakteri dari hasil biosintesis memiliki rata-rata  zona hambat 25 mm (sangat kuat) untuk bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan 22,6 mm (sangat kuat) untuk Staphylococcus aureus. Disimpulkan bahwa daun pegagan dapat mereduksi dan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L) contains tannins, flavonoids and sapoins compounds, that function as antibacterials. This study aims to formulate a facial wash preparation from the ethanol extract of Moringa leaves as a facial skin cleanser. The ethanol extract of Moringa leaves was made in the form of 3 facial wash preparation formulas with a concentration of 3%, and different Sodium lauryl sulfate, namely FI (1%), FII (1.5%) and FIII (2%). Prior to the formulation, Moringa leaves were macerated with 96% ethanol to obtain a thick extract. Then proceed with organoleptic testing, pH testing, homogeneity testing and foam height testing. The results of the study on the evaluation of facial wash preparations of ethanol extract of Moringa leaves FII and FIII with SLS concentrations of 1.5% and 2% showed the best formulation compared to F1

Abstract

Herbal soap is a natural soap that can be made from plant extracs. Kepok banana pee (Musa balbiasana colla) as one of the plants that contains high antioxidants is in line with the research objective, namely evaluating the formulation of anti acne solid soap making of kepok banana ethanol extract. This type of research is a laboratory experiment, namely making solid soap from yellow kepok banana peels (Musa balbisiana colla) which is chopped then dried and mashed using a blender then extracted using 70% ethanol and formulated into solid soap preparetions with variations in the concentration of yellow kepok banana extrac FII (10%) and FIII (15%) did not meet the good physical quality for organoleptic testing and 3 people experienced irritation, while FI(5%) met all requirements for good physical quality seen from the organoleptic test, pH 8 test (8-11), the foam strength tes was 6 cm (60mm) and none of the respondents experienced skin irritation. So it can be formulated into solid soap preparations with the best concentration using extract 5%.

Abstract

Bidara arab leaf (Ziziphus spina-christi (L.) Desf) is one of the plants that have the potential as an anti-acne. The content of secondary metabolites contained in bidara arab leaves include alkaloids, polyphenols, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. These secondary metabolites can inhibit the growth of acne causing bacteria, namely Propionibacterium acnes. The purpose of this study was to create a good gel dosage form of the ethanol extract of bidara arab leaves and to test the antibacterial activity of the gel formulation against Propionibacterium acne. This research method was carried out experimentally on a laboratory scale, namely ethanol extract of bidara arab leaves made in the form of anti-acne gel preparations with several concentration, including F1(1%), F2 (3%), and F3 (5%). Then proceed with the evaluation of the preparation with organoleptic test, homogenity test, pH test, adhesion test, and dispersion test. Anti-acne gel preparations had antibacterial activity based on a concentration of 1% of 12.46 mm (strong), 3% of 13.66 mm (strong), and 5% of 14.71 mm (strong), negative control had no inhibition zone and positive control 20.92 mm (very strong). strong) So, it can be included that the formulation of anti-acne gel preparations able to inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes.
