Abstract

After doing observations and surveys in Paslaten Village, Remboken District, it was found that manyfields or former rice fields which are no longer effective by the owner's farm. Therefore, the fields become idle landand have the potential to be no longer productive, and currently only become a place to bind livestock. Moreover,there are many wastes, especially organic waste as a result of the daily activities of community life in PaslatenVillage. One type of organic waste found is chicken manure, which if it is not reused, it will cause an environmentalpollution. Thus, it is better to manage the waste into organic fertilizer. Paslaten Village, Remboken District, thereare Masawangan and Pinaesaan farmer groups who have tried to plant chili plants in the traditional way according tothe local wisdom in their village. Nevertheless, the production of chili crops is still lacking. As a result, a training isneeded to be carried out in order to increase the production of chili crops. The necessity for the application ofagricultural technology that is required by this farmer groups is the use of effective microorganisms (EM4) asbiological agents that can accelerate the decomposition process of chicken manure into quality organic fertilizer. Itis combined with black silver plastic mulch technology and integrated pest control using bio-pesticides, with a targetto increase the production and quality of chili plants. The first crop yield which was obtained by the farmer groupswas Nirmala variety chili. It has sharp fruit, 4 x 0.8 cm, spicy, shiny red color and can be harvested at the age of 80-85 days after planting (DAP). The average weight of chili per plants are 0.5 - 1.0 kg per plant, with weights per fruitranging from 2-3 grams and potential crops are 8-12 tons/ ha.

Abstract

Cadmium (Cd) is one of the most important non-essential heavy metals, but can continue to increase in the environment. Bioaccumulative cadmium poisoning may cause kidney disease, stomach disorders, brittle bones, haemoglobin decline, and tooth pigmentation. Therefore, an analytical method for determining cadmium content should be developed. Methods for the determination of cadmium metal content that has been widely used is the method of AAS and ICP-AES method. With comparable sensitivity and selectivity, electrochemical methods such as voltammetry have been widely used as an interesting method for determining cadmium content, the instrumentation in this method is simpler than that of AAS and ICP-AES. The purpose of this study was to develop a method of voltammetry in determining cadmium using graphite pencil as a working electrode and parameter analysis of this method for cadmium quantification. The results of this study indicate that the voltammetric method using graphite pencil electrode can detect cadmium (II), with detection limit of 0.8 ppm, quantification limit of 2.8 ppm, linearity range from 2.8 to 4.8 ppm, and an accuracy of 0.21 -0.58%.

Abstract

Fruit is a source of natural antioxidants are most plentiful. This research aims to analyze the ability of fig fruit (Ficus benjamina Linn.) to scavenge 2.2-diphenyl-1-pikrilhidrazil. Ripe fig fruit macerated with ethanol for 3 × 24 hours and evaporated. Ethanol extract of fig fruit then tested for free radical scavenging activities and changes colour is measured by Spectrophotometer UV-Vis. Ethanol extracts of Ficus Benjamina. Linn. shows IC50 of 40.36 μg/mL.

Abstract

Ficus Benjamina Linn. is a plant that can be used as a source of antioxidants. This study aims to determine antiradical activity and total antioxidant capacity of extracts and fractions of Ficus Benjamina Linn. fruit. Fruit of Ficus benjamina Linn. which has been dried is macerated with methanol. The maceration results were then evaporated to obtain a thick extract of methanol. The extract was then partitioned to obtain the n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction. Antiradical testing of extracts and fractions of Ficus benjamina Linn. fruit using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and testing total antioxidant capacity using the phosphomolybene method. The results of the anti-radical and antioxidant analysis showed that the ethyl acetate fraction was the most active fraction. Ethyl acetate fraction showed IC50 value of 63.55 μg / mL and the total value of antioxidant capacity was 127.05 ± 1.62 mg / gram AAE.

Abstract

Nowadays the need for antioxidants is increasing. Advances in technology and sciences encourage an increase in the number of free radicals and oxidizing compounds. This study aims to measure the total antioxidant content of the ethanolic extract of beringin (Ficus benjamina Linn.) fruit. Measurement of total antioxidant capacity begins with extraction by maceration. The freshly picked banyan fruit is macerated using 95% ethanol for 3 × 24 hours. Maceration is carried out at room temperature and kept away from sunlight. The macerated filtrate is then evaporated to get a thick ethanol extract. The ethanol extract was then measured for its antioxidant ability using phosphomolybdenum assay. Measurement using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The measurement results showed the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract is 43.73 mg / gram AAE.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efectiveness of the Blended Learning learning model on student learning outcomes on acid-base material. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ratahan in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. A total of 18 student of class XI MIA 1 were selected to be set as research samples. The research data was obtained from the final evaluation in the form of multiple choice questions and student response questionnaires. Based on the data analysis, the percentage of student learning completeness was 83.3% with a very good category. The responses given by students to the Blended Learning learning questionnaire were 92.2% and the results of the N-Gain Test showed that the effectiveness of using the learning model was 0.744 with a high category. Based on the resuts of this study, it can be concluded that blended learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes on acid-base material.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study using the Anchored Instruction learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Anchored Instruction learning model on student learning outcomes on the mole concept subject. This research was conducted in class X SMA Negeri 2 Siau Timur with a sample of 40 people. The research design used was a pre-test and randomized two group design. The experimental class uses the Anchored Instruction learning model and the control class uses the conventional learning model. Analysis of the hypothesis test using t-test with a significant level α = 0.05. The test results obtained indicate that the results of tcount> ttable or 2.112> 2.024, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, this shows that there is a significant difference between the average value of the initial test (posttest) of the experimental group and the control group. So it can be concluded that there is a difference between student learning outcomes using the Anchored Instruction learning model and student learning outcomes using conventional learning models on mole concept subject.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Inquiry Cycle 5E berbantuan praktikum terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi konsep redoks. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tomohon, dan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pengujian normalitas menggunakan uji chi kuadrat, menunjukkan data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal, dan pengujian homogenitas menggunakan uji kesamaan varian, menunjukkan varian kedua kelas homogen. Pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t pooled varian diperoleh thitung = 4.07 > ttabel = 2.00, maka H1 diterima yaitu nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas kontrol. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa karena penerapan model pembelajaran Inquiry Cycle 5E berbantuan praktikum pada materi konsep redoks

Abstract

Ikan kayu atau skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis), adalah salah satu komoditas perikanan Indonesia yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan lokal Cakalang fufu, yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan mampu menembus pasar internasional. Di Sulawesi Utara khusunya sumber daya ikan jenis ini mencapai 459.800 ton/tahun. Berdasarkan laporanFDA (Food and Drug Administration) dari tahun 2001-2005 terdapat 350 penolakan pada produk tuna Indonesia, alasannya karena kandungan logam beratnya, diantaranya kadmium yang melebihi ambang batas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk pengembangan metodde voltammetry dalam menentukan kandungan cadmium dalam sampel ikan cakalang fufu dengan menggunakan grafit pensil sebagai electrode kerja dan menentukan batas deteksi metode ini dalam mendeteksi cadmium. Sampel daging ikan cakalang yang akan diperiksa diambil dari Pasar Tradisional Amurang Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan , provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Sampel dipreparasi setelah itu didestruksi menggunakan asam nitrat, asam perklorat, dan hydrogen peroksida. Sampel hasil destruksi kemudian dianalisis dengan metode voltammetry pulsa diferensia lmenggunakan grafit pensil sebagai electrode kerja dengan penambahan standar dimana kondisi kerja diatur untuk pembacaan dari potensial -1,0 V sampai 1,2 V. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa metode voltammetri menggunakan elektrode grafit pensil dapat mendeteksi kadmium (II), rata-rata perolehan kembali 50%. Konsentrasi kadmium dalam sampel ikan cakalang fufu yang diperoleh dengan metode voltammetri menggunakan elektrode grafit pensil adalah 2,2 ppm.

Abstract

Salah satu produk kosmetik yang banyak dicari saat ini adalah lipstik .Lipstik yang mengandung logam timbal dapat membahayakan manusia yang menggunakannya. Dalam penentuan kandungan timbal digunakan Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom menggunakan 3 sampel lipstick yang diambil dari Pasar Tondano yang merupakan jenis lipstick yang paling banyak dibeli. Hasil analisis menggunakan Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom, sampel A mengandung timbal sebanyak 2,0338 bpj, sampel B mengandung 2,9813 bpj dan sampel C mengandung 1,1024 bpj. Kandungan timbal dalam ketiga sampel berada dibawah ambang batas cemaran yang telah ditetapkan oleh BPPOM yaitu ≤ 20 mg/Kg.Walaupun kandungan timbal berada dibawah ambang batas cemaran logam berat yang telah ditetapkan namun efek toksik yang membahayakan bagi manusia tetap tidak dapat diabaikan.
