Abstract

This research adopted Amoako-Gyampah and Meredith’s research on cumulative capabilities (2007). It aimed to examine the relationship among manufacturing capabilities (flexibility, quality, delivery, and low cost), as well as to find out whether or not the quality was a foundation for the development of cumulative capabilities. The sample of the research was manufacture firms located in Jababeka Industrial Estate, West Java. The sampling was conducted by applying non-probability method with a purposive sampling technique. The questionnaires processed were 104 in number; 79 of which were obtained from mail survey and 25 from e-mail survey. The finding showed that there was no negative correlation among the manufacturing capabilities, meaning that there was no trade-off in the development of capabilities. The finding also confirmed that the quality was a foundation for the development of cumulative capabilities.

Abstract

This paper examines the relationship among cost leadership competitive strategy, manufacturing  strategy,  and  firm  performance  of  manufacture  firms  in  the  Jababeka Industrial Estate, West Java. The sample was taken by applying a non-probability method with a purposive sampling technique. The questionnaires processed were 104 in number; 79 of which were obtained from mail survey and 25 from e-mail survey. The data were analyzed by making use of path analysis technique. The finding showed that there was significant and positive relationship among cost leadership competitive strategy and the manufacturing strategies of flexibility, quality, delivery, and low cost. It also confirmed that the quality was the only manufacturing strategy component that influences firm performance. The further result showed that the quality mediated a relationship between cost leadership competitive strategies and firm performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of role ambiguity and role conflict on employee commitment with burnout as a mediating variable. The research sample was 120 employees of four manufacturing companies located in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Research findings suggest that burnout mediates the influence of ambiguity and role conflict on commitment. The study produced an interesting finding that role ambiguity had a negative effect on burnout and role conflict had a positive effect on commitment.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) adalah penting bagi kinerja perusahaan. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya mediasi dari loyalitas karyawan pada pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap OCB. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai PT Borobudur Oto Mobil Yogyakarta, dengan ukuran sampel 94 responden. Temuan menyatakan terdapat mediasi penuh loyalitas karyawan pada pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap OCB.

Abstract

This research is aimed to examine the effect of instagram use, online entrepreneurial practice experience, and online entrepreneurial learning outcome on online entrepreneurial intention. A number of 84 students of Management Department, Economic Faculty of Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa were asked to fill in the questionnaire. This study findings show that the use of instagram is not significantly affect online entrepreneurial intention, on the other way partially online entrepreneurial practice experience and online entrepreneurial learning outcomes are significantly affect online entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of transactional leadership style and compensation on employee performance mediated by work motivation on the employees of the Sleman Regency. Sampling in this study uses probability method because the population of employees in the Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) Sleman Regency is quite a lot to be studied. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire distributed by the Director of PDAM Sleman. Data analysis techniques using the application SPSS version 21 include validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistics, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that the transactional leadership style variable has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, compensation has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by motivation, compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by motivation. The most dominant influence is work motivation variable, then compensation variable is followed

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peran mediasi motivasi intrinsik dan berbagi pengetahuan pada pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja inovatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh Guru SMAN 1 Semin, Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan sampel jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi intrinsik tidak berperan sebagai variabel pemediasi pada pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja inovatif. Budaya organisasi dapat berpengaruh langsung secara positif terhadap kinerja inovatif maupun tidak langsung melalui variabel berbagi pengetahuan. Kata kunci: budaya organisasi, motivasi intrinsik, berbagi pengetahuan, kinerja inovatif.

Abstract

Having employees who have extra-role performance is a benefit to the organization. The study was intended to determine the effect of job satisfaction directly on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and indirectly through organizational commitment. This study uses primary data collected through a questionnaire survey. The sample size was 99 respondents from 132 employees of the Balai Besar Kerajinan Batik (BBKB) Yogyakarta. The study used simple, multiple regression analysis techniques, and tested the mediation model with the Sobel test. The findings have implications for organizational leaders to consider strengthening job satisfaction and organizational commitment in policies to improve OCB.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi, motivasi kerja, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Rumah Makan Candisari, Karanganyar, Kebumen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dan data primer diambil menggunakan kuesioner yang diambil secara accidental sampling pada 50 responden. Penarikan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei langsung kemudian diolah menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi, motivasi kerja, dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Instilling an attitude to employees for having the willingness to give their best performance without taking into consideration of feedback obtained is necessarily needed and certainly profitable for the company. This attitude denotes a form of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). This study examines how big the impact of workload, organizational culture, and motivation on OCB with loyalty mediation. The participants of this study are the employees of PT Bummy Harapan Umat Yogyakarta with 50 people as the sample. The testing was done by using multiple regression analysis and the Sobel test. The result of this study showed that loyalty is able to mediate the impact of workload, organizational culture, and motivation of OCB.
