Abstract

The research in this thesis is backed by the phenomenon of many new entrepreneurship community education students but the business does not last long because it experiences various problems and eventually goes bankrupt. In general, students who are new entrepreneurship do not have qualified entrepreneurial skills because they only follow trends and friends so they can not know the right strategies and steps in making business decisions. They are only able to survive the business for a maximum of 5 months after that they change businesses and even go bankrupt. In the midst of the crisis of experience and expertise of entrepreneurship students there are 7 community education students who managed to open a business even able to develop their business and open new jobs.Based on the above, researchers are interested in conducting research on 7 students who succeeded in their efforts. The title of this study is the Profile of Entrepreneurship Community Education Students. The formulation of the problem in this study is How to Profile Entrepreneurship Community Education Students.This study uses qualitative methods by selecting 7 sources who have and manage the business for more than one year and are considered successful in their entrepreneurship. Data collected using instruments in the form of Observation and Documentation and In-depth interviews with informants. The data is qualitatively analyzed.The results of this study showed that the Profile of Entrepreneurship Community Education Students is influenced by family, education, environment, motivation and work history. So as to produce a profile of students who are resilient, creative, innovative, confident, visionary, open to new things and Optimistic. This characteristic is what supports the success of 7 community education students in entrepreneurship.The conclusion of this study is that students decide to become entrepreneurs because of the influence of internal and external factors. On the external factors, there is the influence of the educational environment, family, friends, opportunities and work history. External factors affect internal factors, and vice versa. These two factors influence each other.

Abstract

Adult education is education given to adults in accordance with the time adults have in order to foster an interest in learning on an ongoing basis throughout their lives. Empowerment of farming communities is the provision of power to the weak or powerless, especially the farming community to have knowledge, skills and competencies in agriculture, so that farmers are able to overcome the problems they face. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of adult education to empowering farming communities in the Setiawargi village. The method used in this study is a phenomenological method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results show that the application of adult education has four assumptions for adult learning, including self-concept, the findings are independent and confident, experience has two components, namely personal experience and the experience of others, readiness to learn, namely material relevant to real life, orientation towards learning activities that are centered and citizen-centered learning, the need for ability, namely adults learn because they have reasons and goals, and motivation, namely internal and eksternal motivation. In practice, adult education plays an important role in shaping the personality of farmers according to their circumstances as adults. The process of empowering farming communities uses empowerment steps, namely the possibility in which there is potential development, strengthening namely knowledge and ability, protection in which there is group formation and cooperation, support, namely mentoring and support and maintenance in which there is monitoring and evaluation. The result of empowering farming communities is the creation of farmers who have the knowledge and abilities that are qualified to empower themselves and also the potential of nature. The result of the application of adult education in empowering farming communities is that farming communities learn to use adult learning assumptions to carry out the steps of the process of empowering farming communities because it is in accordance with their situation and conditions. In conclusion, with the application of adult education in empowering farming communities, farmers' productivity will increase, be able to develop their own potential and regional potential, have agricultural innovations and increase farmers' knowledge and abilities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the problem of poverty that is still a lot in the community and the lack of optimization of yard land where there are still many people who are not aware of the benefits of yard land in addition to making the yard beautiful it also has the potential to provide food, and reduce household spending. The purpose of this study is to help increase the income in the family. The problems that exist in the community are related to poverty and poorly functioning yards, it is necessary to form a Kenanga farmer women's group in Nyanggahurip Village, Cibereum District, Tasikmalaya City to help increase family income through the use of yard land. The method used in this study is a research method with a descriptive qualitative type of research. Researchers use data sources, data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results obtained in this study the formation of a group cannot be separated from proximity, interaction, balance, continuity and exchange. By joining the women's farmer group, women are able to develop the potential that exists within themselves through the use of yard land. The existence of support from the Department of Food Security and Fisheries of the City of Tasikmalaya has made the kenanga women farmer group run well. The success of the kenanga women farmer group is also seen from the results obtained by the members of the kenanga women farmer group.
