Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of clinical leadership (quality of self, collaboration, managing services, improving service quality and setting goals) on the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. The method used is a cross-sectional survey of 94 respondents. The results showed that the p-value for the self-quality variable was 0.000, clinical leadership was 0.001 and the variable improved service quality was 0.004 for the quality of nursing services. In conclusion, there is an effect of self-quality, clinical leadership, managing services, improving service quality and setting goals on the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. Self-quality is the most influential variable in the quality of nursing services at the University Hospital of North Sumatra. Keywords: Clinical Leadership, Nursing, Quality of Service

Abstract

This study explores the experiences of nurses who have carried out spiritual care in the COVID-19 isolation room at the University of North Sumatra Hospital. The method used is qualitative research with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The results of the study show that four themes can be used as experiences for nurses in carrying out spiritual care in the COVID-19 isolation room at USU Hospital, namely: 1) Carrying out nursing care according to standard operating procedures for handling COVID-19 patients; 2) Apply the ethical principles of the nursing profession in treating COVID-19 patients; 3) Carry out efforts through collaboration with families in fulfilling the spiritual needs of COVID-19 patients; and 4) Obstacles that hinder the implementation of nursing care for COVID-19 patients. In conclusion, in carrying out nursing care for COVID-19 patients, nurses use the careful nursing theory model. Keywords: Spiritual Care, COVID-19

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the role of drug supervisors (PMOs) on improving the quality of life of tuberculosis patients. This research method is quantitative research with correlation research design with a sample of 40 tuberculosis patients. The sampling technique used purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. Data analysis used Chi-Square test. The results showed that 29 people (72.5%) had an active PMO role. The majority of quality of life based on aspects obtained in poor physical health is 33 people (82.5%) and the overall quality of life is good as many as 26 people (65%). Chi-Square statistical test results with an Asym.Sig value of 0.034 <0.05 means that there is a significant relationship between the role of PMO and quality of life. In conclusion, PMO has a very important role in the process of treating TB patients regularly so as to improve the health status and quality of life of patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of family support to medication adherence in MDR-TB patients. This research method is descriptive correlation with cross sectional research design. The research sampling technique is total sampling. The results showed that adherence to taking medication in MDR-TB patients was more commonly found in good family support, namely as many as 23 respondents (92.6%), the results of the chi-square test obtained a p-value = 0.000 meaning there was a relationship between family support medication adherence in MDR-TB patients. In conclusion, there is a relationship between family support and medication adherence in MDR TB patients. Keywords: Family Support, Medication Compliance, MDR-TB.

Abstract

This study aims to identify an effective health promotion model in efforts to prevent stunting through the Maternal and Child Health program at the Tembilahan Health Center, Riau Province. This research is a quantitative research using Quasi Experiments with a pre and post-test control group design approach. The research sample was 102 women of childbearing age, namely 34 people in each group who were taken using the consecutive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate data analysis using paired t-test statistics. The results showed that there were differences in the increase in knowledge in the treatment group p=0.000 (p<0.05) and there were differences in attitudes in the treatment group and the control group p=0.000 (p<0.05). In conclusion, a health promotion model that is effective in providing increased knowledge is a health promotion model of lectures and leaflet media and a health promotion model that is effective in providing attitude changes is a health promotion model of lectures and video media. Abstract

This study aims to look at the analysis of the level of patient satisfaction with nurse services at VIP (Very Important Person) inpatient care and Wards at Padangsidimpuan City General Hospital. This research method is analytic with a cross-sectional approach. This research began to be carried out in September 2022 - March 2023 in the VIP Inpatient Ward at Padangsidimpuan City General Hospital. The study sample of VIP inpatients was 96 people and Ward was 96 people with sideways purposive technique. Univariate and bivariate data analysis with Chi-square test. The results showed that in the VIP room, the most dissatisfied were 50 people (52.1%) and the wards were the most dissatisfied with 76 people (79.2%). The results of the chi-square test obtained a p-value ≤ 0.05, so there was a significant relationship between VIP and Ward patient satisfaction with the dimensions of Patient Satisfaction at Padangsidimpuan City General Hospital. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between VIP and Ward patient satisfaction with the dimensions of Patient Satisfaction at Padangsidimpuan City General Hospital.
