Abstract

Soybeans are one of the main ingredients for making tempeh. Most of the tempeh production businesses still use the traditional system of washing soybeans. Washing soybeans is still done manually using a washing drum filled with water and stirred by hand, thus draining the workforce. In the process of washing soybeans, there is still direct contact with parts of the human body, resulting in unhygienic soybeans. From these problems, the solution is to make a machine that can wash soybeans in tempeh production which aims to facilitate washing soybeans and produce clean and hygienic soybeans. The soybean washing machine process uses a screw conveyor system with an AC motor 1 phase 1 HP 1420 Rpm as a driving force and a DC 12 V 25 W water pump to drain water into the watering canal. The machine can wash 5 kg of soybeans for 10 seconds, and produces a motor rotation of 271.2 Rpm, voltage 229 V, current 2.58 A to produce clean and hygienic soybeans.

Abstract

Roadside sweeper is a tool that can sweep garbage in the form of leaves or small tree branches on the roadside. Roadside sweeper designed to use a DC electric motor as the driving force. This roadside sweeper also uses an emergency button for emergencies such as garbage getting stuck in a shelter which causes the driving motor to stop and stall. After testing the sweeper components and sweeper motor on the frame, it is known that the sweeper components and sweeper motor can function optimally, at a voltage of 12 Volts. From the test results it was also found that with a battery power of 3.5 Ah the Roadside Sweeper tool can work for 126 minutes and can run properly. This Roadside Sweeper tool can be concluded that to clean the roadside with optimal cleanliness, this tool must do 2 times of rotation to get satisfactory results.

Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi di Indonesia dituntut menghasilkan lulusan yang siap bekerja di pemerintahan maupun Industri. Oleh karena itu pendidikan Vokasi lebih banyak menekankan pembelajaran  praktikum. Seperti Politeknik Aceh dengan pembelajaran praktikum 60 % dan teori 40 %. Modul praktik yang bervariasi sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung pembelajaran praktik di Politeknik Aceh. Salah satunya Modul Praktikum mata kuliah Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Untuk menambah variasi modul praktikum PLC, maka dari itu penulis merancang modul praktikum yang menarik agar mahasiswa lebih memahami materi . Modul praktik yang dirancang adalah Prototype Pengisi dan Penutup Botol Otomatis yang bekerja seperti proses  di Industri. PLC yang digunakan dari Schneider Elektric tipe Twido dengan seri TWDLCAE40DRF. Alat ini dilengkapi sensor Infrared Proximity sebagai pendeteksi botol, motor konveyor untuk membawa botol minuman, motor DC untuk mengisi air serta solenoid untuk penutupan botol. Mekanik alat ini menggunakan besi Hollow berukuran 3 mm x 3 mm dan menggunakan Aluminium Profile pada bagian atas rangka.  Hasil yang diperoleh alat ini dapat bekerja dengan baik sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai modul praktikum, mampu mengisi air dalam waktu 14 detik dan mampu menutup tutup botol ukuran 250ml dengan diameter 3cm. Walaupun masih kurang mampu  menutup botol dengan kuat, alat ini sudah layak dijadikan sebagai modul praktikum PLC.
