Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the modeling technique of group counseling to increase the self-efficacy of vocational students. The research method used in this research is quasi-experimental. The research design used in this study is the equivalent time-series design. The research subjects were students who had low self-efficacy, totaling five people. The data collection technique used is a self-efficacy questionnaire. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that there are differences in pre-test and post-test scores at three stages of counseling implementation. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed significant results in the first, second, and third stages. The conclusion of this research is an effective modeling technique to increase students' self-efficacy.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji keefektifan konseling kelompok teknik modeling untuk meningkatkan self efficacy peserta didik SMK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah equivalent time series design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa yang memiliki self efficacy rendah yang berjumlah 5 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket self efficacy. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan skor pre-test dan post-test pada 3 tahap pelaksanaan konseling. Hasil analisis data dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menunjukkan signifikan pada tahap pertama, tahap kedua, dan tahap ketiga. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah teknik modeling efektif untuk meningkatkan self efficacy siswa.

Abstract

The study used a literature review method to describe the findings of articles related to the practice of expressive writing in reducing stress. The data was obtained from 30 selected studies consisting of 13 national journals and 17 international articles. The data collection technique was a documentation study in which the data was analyzed by using content analysis.  The results of the study were: (1) expressive writing could reduce the stress of a wide range of ages from children to adults, and was able to help problems from various types of stress disorders; (2) expressive writing could be flexibly applied with a various number of sessions and different durations according to the counselee’s need; (3) expressive writing effectively reduced and overcome stress in general, academic stress, depression problems combined, symptoms of post-traumatic stress, stress during the pandemic, and stress on children with HIV/AIDS. The study results recommended that school counselors could utilize expressive writing to reduce the negative impacts of stress by creatively modifying the relevant intervention based on the findings. Further research is expected to explore and expand the study through literature studies from another perspective such as focusing on research methods with various variables, subjects, objects, and locations.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and describe the guidance and counseling services for children with special needs at inclusive schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The subject of this research is a guidance and counseling teacher who is the coordinator of guidance and counseling at SMP Negeri 168 Jakarta. Data collection techniques carried out in this study used interviews and documentation. There is no special role for guidance anda counseling teachers for students with special needs. The role of Guidance and Counseling for children with special needs at SMP Negeri 168 Jakarta is the same as for other children. The absence of a special supervising teacher has resulted in guidance and counseling teachers being asked to carry out this role to directly deal with special needs students. guidance and counseling teachers do not have a special guidance and counseling program for special needs students. The provision of guidance and counseling services to students with special needs successfully handles students with special needs who find it difficult to focus. Guidance and counseling also succeeded in dealing with special needs students with low learning motivation to become more interested in learning.
