Abstract

In implementing mobile learning system, students’ needs and perceptions should be focused upon along with curriculum standards. Particularly in the context of higher education institutions in Indonesia, some schools authorities have refused to implement m-learning. Although m-learning is widely used in some schools and considered an effective educational tool, it is not yet fully utilised in most Indonesian schools. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate students’ access to and perception of the use of mobile devices in learning, and to understand the potential for its implementation. This study is the result of a survey conducted on 61 students in a school which banned the use of mobile technology. It seeks to understand their potential accessibility by means of ownership, interaction time and the types of mobile application used and to find their perceptions through agreement and the reasons for adopting mobile learning in the classroom. The findings indicate that students are very familiar with mobile devices and their applications. The results also reveal that students have positive perceptions toward m-learning, and indicate that mobile technologies are widely used among them. This report can be taken as the basis for applying a mobile learning system in the classroom.

Abstract

The rapid development of the era requires guidance and counseling teachers to be more creative in providing services. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of 21st century skills based on the Internet of Things (IoT) based on categorization. The sample of this study was 53 people consisting of school counselors in Sukoharjo and students of professional education and counselling teachers at one university. The method used is a one-shot case study. The results showed that the average 21st century counsellor's skills of 54.3% were in the 'medium' category. This can be interpreted that the skills of 21st century counsellor when participating in IoT-based skills development workshops have good criteria. However, it is possible that there is a need to improve skills again so that the quality of guidance and counselling services is getting better and more effective.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine teachers' motivation and work discipline towards the nomination of primary schools principal in the Karanganyar Regency. This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The research population was elementary school teachers in Karanganyar Regency. The research sample was 40 teachers determined through a random sampling technique. The researchers collected the data using questionnaires to be analyzed using multiple logistic regression analysis techniques. The results showed that motivation significantly influenced (p = 0.027) the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 14.19 (OR = 14.19; 95% CI = 1.36–148.27). Furthermore, work discipline significantly affected (p = 0.037) the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 8.38 (OR = 8.38; 95% CI = 1.14- 61.91). Therefore, the researchers concluded that (1) teacher motivation posed positive and significant effects on the nomination of the primary school principal in Karanganyar Regency and (2) teachers’ work discipline posed positive and significant effects on the nomination of the primary school principal in Karanganyar Regency. This research is expected to motivate teachers to have high achievements to be promoted and prepare themselves to collect the requirements for principal nomination.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the importance and urgency of the use of multimedia to be used in learning Islamic religious education (PAI) courses at the level of vocational high school (SMK). Data on the use of multimedia in various scientific disciplines is obtained through a comprehensive literature study. Furthermore, the data are discussed based on theory and harmonized with the findings of previous research on the benefits of multimedia in the learning process. Furthermore, the analysis of PAI learning objectives shows the element of personal formation which has a noble character to the Creator, fellow human beings and nature. Based on interviews with SMK PAI teachers in Surakarta it was found that PAI subjects were not given much attention in their implementation. This can be seen in the allocation of study hours which is only 2 hours per week with a very broad range of material. Whereas the expected outcomes in the PAI subjects are very important and very useful in the moral formation of the workers in the future. So, it can be concluded that the use of multimedia in the learning of PAI at the Vocational School level is very much needed so that students can learn not only in class but can independently so that the learning objectives of PAI can be achieved

Abstract

The learning of electrical installation at Vocational High School often comes to problems as the availability of real apparatus or equipment which are not used again on the next period. It is also getting worse as the learning style is not effective by that way in a group. When it is done in a group, certain student will rely on his/her work to other friends. Consequently, they will get no beneficial from the instructional process done. Therefore, it is developed an interactive multimedia of simple electrical series in order to be directly tried by each student easily. At last, they will be motivated and get the benefit from the lesson

Abstract

This research is a preliminary research with the aim to determine the needs of the students of SMP Islam Diponegoro regarding the media that need to be developed for social studies teaching and learning process. The method used in this research is survey method. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative. Based on interviews and observations that have been conducted, it can be seen that the amount of material, the limited amount of learning resources, and the use of monotonous media are all obstacles in the social studies teaching and learning process. The results of the questionnaire given to students showed that as many as 54% of students need an electronic module as their learning media, and about 66% of the students stated that the nature condition of Indonesia is a difficult material. Therefore, the development of instructional media in the form of electronic module is needed as a tool to communicate the subject material interactively and achieve the goals of learning. The electronic module can be developed supported by theschool facilities and can be used independently by students at home. The electronic module is the right solution that can be taken, especially for the Revolutionary Era 4.0 which encourages the learning process to integrate technology to improve the quality and efficiency of education.

Abstract

The era of digital technology in education is developing rapidly in the use of innovative media in the learning process to produce competent and competitiveness graduates. This study aims to analyze the development of interactive multimedia as a need for the learning process of graphic design printing in the Digital Technology Era. This study uses descriptive qualitative method with the data collection techniques of observations, interviews, and documentation. This study was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Parepare. The subjects of the study consisted of 61 students and a graphic design teacher. First, the results from the questionnaires show that the current learning process has not been able to motivate students, so it is expected the interactive multimedia can facilitate the students to understand and improve their multimedia competence. Second, based on the interview with the graphic design teacher, the teacher also expects the innovation of learning, specifically interactive multimedia, as a support for the learning process to improve the students’ multimedia competence. This study implies that the interactive multimedia needs to be developed as a support for the learning process to improve students’ multimedia competence

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of Transactional Analysis group counselling guiding book to improve students’ motivation. This was a Research and Development (R&D). The subjects  of  this  research  was  consist  of  subject  expert  test,  practitioners subject, and the subject of a small group. Data collection technique used questionnaire. Data analysis used Interrater Agreement Model and Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The result of analysis showed that test index of Interrater Agreement Model has very good validity with accountability almost  perfect  agreement,  it  meant  the two  experts  gave same assessment to the AT counselling group guiding book. The result from that test is supported by Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, that was showed there was difference between pre-test score and post-test score of experimental group after given treatment  in  the  form  of  Transactional  Analysis  Group counselling.   The conclusion  of  this  research  was  Transactional  Analysis Group  counselling approach was effective to improve students’ motivation. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efektifitas buku pedoman konseling  kelompok AT untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar Siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi subjek uji ahli, subjek praktisi, dan subjek kelompok kecil. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan menggunakan Interrater Agreement Model dan Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa indeks hasil uji ahli dari Uji Interrater Agreement Model penilaian buku panduan oleh kedua  ahli  memiliki  validitas  sangat  baik  dengan  tingkat kehandalan  almost perfect agreement. Hasil dari uji tersebut didukung dengan Uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara nilai pretest dengan nilai postest kelompok eksperimen setelah diberikan treatment  berupa konseling kelompok Analisis Transaksional. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan konseling kelompok Analisis Transaksional efektif untuk meningkatkan  motivasi  belajar  siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring in reducing juvenile delinquency in MTs students. This research is a quasi-experimental with an experimental design in the form of a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were students, totaling 52 students. Sources of data are students. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the independent sample t-test formula by comparing the averages of the two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The test results on the pretest scores of the experimental group and the control group obtained equivalent results. The test results on the experimental and control groups' post-test scores obtained significant results. Thus there is a difference after the treatment of cognitive restructuring. It shows that there is a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. With this research, it can be concluded that it effectively reduces student delinquency. Based on these results, it is hoped that it will become a reference for implementing Guidance and Counseling services in helping students concerning cognitive restructuring and juvenile delinquency.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan cognitive restructuring dalam mengurangi kenakalan remaja pada siswa MTs. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental semu dengan desain eksperimen berbentuk Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik yang berjumlah 52 peserta didik. Sumber data adalah peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus independent sample t-test dengan membandingkan rata-rata dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil pengujian terhadap skor pretest kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol diperoleh hasil yang setara. Hasil pengujian terhadap skor posttest kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol diperoleh hasil signifikan, dengan demikian terdapat perbedaan setelah adanya perlakuan pemberian cognitive restructuring. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini efektif untuk mengurangi kenakalan peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut,diharapkan menjadi acuan pelaksanaan layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam membantu peserta didik berkaitan dengan cognitive restructuring dan kenakalan remaja

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the behavior of the crisis of affection, the loneliness of the soul, and readiness for death. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at Panti Wredha Dharma Bhakti Surakarta. Subjects were taken using snowball sampling. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and document studies. The results showed that all behaviors that occurred in Y, S, and J regarding the problem of crisis of affection, mental loneliness, and readiness for death, were almost the same. Both have an attitude of indifference, disrespect, and disobedience to personal, family, environmental, and spiritual aspects and feel alienated. The factors that caused Y, S, and J to fall into this problem include internal factors (his desires, desires, and physical conditions that have begun to decline), external factors (closeness to family, lack of friends or relations due to lack of activities outside the orphanage). And economic factors (unfit for habitation and no money). The impacts that occur on Y, S, and J are low self-confidence, fear of being abandoned, problems with closeness with other people, isolation, not having friends, boredom, and always being shrouded in excessive anxiety and fear.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan perilaku krisis kasih sayang, kesepian jiwa, kesiapan kematian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di Panti Wredha Dharma Bhakti Surakarta. Pengambilan subjek menggunakan snowball sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Semua perilaku yang terjadi pada Y, S, J terhadap masalah krisis kasih sayang, kesepian jiwa, dan kesiapan kematian, sebenarnya hampir sama. Sama-sama memiliki sikap tidak peduli, sikap tidak menghargai, dan sikap durhaka pada pribadi, keluarga, lingkungan, dan spiritual, serta  memiliki perasaan-perasaan terasing. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan Y, S, J terjerumus pada masalah tersebut antara lain faktor internal (keinginannya, hasratnya, dan kondisi fisik yang sudah mulai menurun), faktor eksternal (kedekatannya dengan keluarga, berkurangnya teman atau relasi akibat kurangnya aktifitas di luar panti) dan faktor ekonomi (rumah tidak layak huni dan tidak ada uang). Dampak yang terjadi pada Y, S, J yaitu kepercayaan diri rendah, takut ditelantarkan, masalah kedekatan bersama orang lain, isolasi, tidak mempunyai sahabat, bosan, dan selalu diselimuti rasa cemas dan takut berlebihan.
