Abstract

Hospital Auxiliary Ship is an Indonesian Navy ship produced by PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero). The construction of this BRS ship was very time consuming and one of the main parts of the ship building project was the construction of the hull structure. In relation to time and production costs, the shipyard must be as efficient as possible in the use of time in each activity or activity, so that costs can be minimized from the original plan. Acceleration of the total duration in a project is done by accelerating critical activities in the project. To find out which are the critical activities of a project, the Critical Path Method (CPM) technique is used; namely by drawing a Network Diagram of the project. By using the CPM method in scheduling a ship hull construction project, it can be seen which activities should take precedence so as not to experience delays and waste. After that, the crashing method is carried out by increasing work hours (overtime) which aims to speed up the time of the project. The results of research for activities that are in the initial critical path with the CPM method can be seen as activities A, C, H, M, R, W, AB, AC, AD, AI, AP, AT, BA, BJ, BN. After accelerating, the critical path activities include activities A, C, H, M, R, W, X, AC, AD, AI, AP, AT, BA, BH, BO. Calculation of the project during initial conditions with Early working days without using overtime hours PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) costs Rp. 5,299,631,000, - while the Crashing Method is through the addition of 1 hour / day overtime so that the project implementation can be accelerated from the initial implementation of 450 days to 412 days and PT. PAL Indonesia (Persero) issued a project cost of Rp. 5,323,752,480, -. Keywords: Hospital Support Ship, Scheduling, CPM, Crashing.

Abstract

One of the biggest obstacles to development progress in Eastern Indonesia is the unavailability of electricity, especially on small island islands. The potential of ocean currents is one of the most renewable sources ofenergy considering that the majority of Eastern Indonesia is the ocean and has not been utilized optimally. Thepurpose of writing this paper is to reference the calculation of ocean currents for Indonesian coastal islands thathave minimal electricity. This research method uses literature studies on the morphology of the flow velocity andwind that occurs in the Capalulu Strait and the calculation of the potential of electrical energy in the CapaluluStrait so that the results of this calculation are used as one of the renewable energy methods that are able tomeet the electricity needs of island islands. which has not been electrified in Indonesia, especially in the SulaIslands, North Maluku. Keywords: Electric Energy, Ocean Flow Turbine, Renewable Energy, Strait of Capalulu

Abstract

ABSTRACT PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) is one of the strategic defense industries that produces Main Weapon Systems (Alutista) especially for the Indonesian Navy, and has a strategic role in supporting the development of the national marine industry. One of the benchmarks for the success of a new shipbuilding project is the length of time to complete both the stages of the production process and the entire project in addition to cost and quality of work. Therefore, research was conducted to optimize the planning of the production process time for a new shipbuilding project by creating a project network, looking for critical activities, and calculating the project duration. The method used to analyze costs and time is the critical path method, by accelerating the duration of activities that are on the critical path, then calculating changes in project costs that occur due to acceleration. The research objective with this critical path method is to determine the time and cost of the project and what activities are included in critical activities. In addition, it is also to control and coordinate various activities so that the project can meet the right timeframe and can also help companies plan and control projects in a more efficient time and cost. From the results of the analysis of project calculations during the initial conditions with normal working days without using overtime the company spent Rp. 1,963,108,000. Critical activities in initial conditions with 870 days for completion time conditions are accelerated by 710 days (total acceleration 160 days) with 16 critical trajectories covering 34 work activities where all activities enter critical trajectories. The difference between the initial working conditions and the accelerated conditions was 160 days. The new ship building project in the electrical system can be accelerated for 160 days at an additional cost of Rp. 3,525,214,127.
