Abstract

The purpose of this study to examines (1) whether the turnover intention is influenced by job performance, job satisfaction and employee burnout; (2) whether job performance is influenced by self-efficacy and efforts; (3) whether job satisfaction is influenced by self-efficacy and efforts; and (4) whether burnout is influenced by self-efficacy. The study is conducted at PT. XYZ with the respondents are 102 staffs at the Station and Service Hub in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Terminal 2 and 3, Cengkareng. The analysis technique of this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 2.0 tools. The results of the study have proven that the turnover intention is influenced by job performance and burnout, but it is not proven that the turnover intention is influenced by job satisfaction. It is also proven that job performance is influenced by self-efficacy and efforts. Job satisfaction is also proven to be influenced by self-efficacy, but job satisfaction is not proven influenced by efforts. Finally it is proven that burnout is influenced by self-efficacy.

Abstract

This Community Service activity is a follow-up to the results of previous research in Lengkong Kyai village, which is sandwiched between luxury housing in the BSD City area. The activity aims to provide training on content creation, infographics, or graphic design for digital promotional content, which suggests promoting the Raden Aria Wangsakara Cemetery as a religious tourism destination and cultural tourism. The methods of implementing the service are (1) Socialization on the importance of promoting the Lengkong Culture site, (2) Training on creating promotional content concepts, (3) Training on making infographics and designs, (4) Training on creating and managing promotional accounts, (5) Submission of design assets in the form of laptop, (6) Evaluation of program implementation and sustainability. The pre-test and post-test results showed an increase in the understanding of community service participants in the four counseling and training sessions provided. The benefits of this community service result are not only the ability of the community (participants) to create interesting content and graphic designs for the promotion of cultural sites as religious and cultural tourism destinations on social media, but they can use this ability for activities that have a positive impact on their economy. The increasing number of religious and cultural tourism visits to their villages will also positively impact the local community's economy.

Abstract

There are many facets of Christian faith, especially for Evangelicalism and Conservativism, which contradict with Indonesian culture according to Hofstede’s study. The aim of this study is synthesizing the dialectics utilizing Christ above Culrture concept of Niebuhr. This method of this study uses Hegel's dialectics to synthesize the dialectical relationship between Indonesian culture and Christian faith. The results of this study are syntheses of: (1) dialectics between individualistic doctrine of salvation and collectivistic of Indonesian culture; (2) dialectic of Christian faith and uncertainty avoidance culture; (3) dialectic of Christian faith on equality and power distance culture, (4 ) the dialectic of masculinity-femininity culture in the Christian faith and femininity of Indonesian culture; and (5) dialectic of long-term and short-term orientation in the Christian faith perspective and Indonesian culture. A number of alternative solutions are also proposed as practical applications of these syntheses for the gospel ministry in Indonesia that cannot avoid interaction with local cultures.

Abstract

We study the atmospheric role at restaurant “X”, a Japanese chain restaurant in numerous Jakarta areas. More specifically, we analyze (1) the effect of atmospherics on service quality; (2) the effect of atmospherics on food quality; (3) the effect of atmospherics on perceived value; (4) the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction; (5) the effect of  perceived value on customer satisfaction; (6) the effect of  food quality on customer satisfaction; (7) the effect of  service quality on behavioral intentions; (8) the effect of  customer satisfaction on behavioral intentions; (9) the effect of  food quality on behavioral intentions, (10) indirect effect of atmospherics on customer satisfaction; and (11) indirect effect of atmospherics on behavioral intentions. We distributed questionnaires to customers of “X” restaurant and received back 283 questionnaires, of which 229 were usable for further analysis. Overall, the findings support all the hypotheses, except hypotheses (4) and  (7), probably because this is a self-service restaurant chain.Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran atmosferik di restoran “X,” sebuah restoran Jepang yang berada di berbagai area di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menganalisis (1) pengaruh atmosferik terhadap kualitas layanan; (2) pengaruh atmosferik terhadap kualitas makanan; (3) pengaruh atmosferik terhadap nilai yang dirasakan; (4) pengaruh kualitas layanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan; (5) pengaruh nilai yang dirasakan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan; (6) pengaruh kualitas makanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan; (7) pengaruh kualitas layanan terhadao niatan perilaku konsumen; (8) pengaruh kepuasan pelanggan terhadap niatan perilaku konsumen; (9) pengaruh kualitas makanan terhadap niatan perilaku konsumen; (10) pengaruh tidak langsung atmosferik terhadap kepuasan pelanggan; dan (11) pengaruh tidak langsung atmosferik terhadap niatan perilaku konsumen. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Kami membagikan kuesioner kepada para pelanggan restoran “X” di Jakarta dan kuesioner yang kembali berjumlah 283, yang mana ada 54 kuesioner yang tidak dapat digunakan, sehingga penelitian ini menggunakan 229 sampel. Setiap indikator terbukti sahih dan setiap variabel terbukti handal. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengaruh atmosferik terhadap kualitas layanan, kualitas makanan, dan nilai yang dirakan secara parsial positif dan signifikan. Pengaruh nilai yang dirasakan dan kualitas makanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan secara parsial juga positif dan signifikan. Pengaruh kepuasan pelanggan terhadap niatan perilaku konsumen positif dan signifikan. Pengaruh kualitas makanan terhadap niatan perilaku konsumen juga ditemukan positif dan signifikan. Pengaruh tidak langsung atmosferik terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan niatan perilaku konsumen juga positif dan signifikan. Namun, karena di restoran yang diteliti konsumen mereka melayani diri sendiri, maka kualitas layanan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan niatan perilaku konsumen.

Abstract

Abstract. This article with written with the aim to study the debate about the relationship between religion and violence, and to answer the following questions: Was religion the cause of violence or wars in the name of religion? Was religion responsible on various violence through giving legitimacy and facilitating violence? What were the economic, social and political motives, which were actually behind of violence in the name of religion? This study was conducted through a literature review by synthesized several different views from a number of experts in matters of religious relations and violence. The result was a conceptual framework that violence in the name of religion was motivated by motives of powerful groups to maintain power with violence, motives of oppressed groups to gain freedom by violence, motives of politicians gain political gain by the occurrence of violence, and the motives of religious leaders to gain political advantage by legitimizing violence.Abstrak. Artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji perdebatan tentang hubungan agama dan kekerasan, serta untuk menjawab beberapa pertanyaan berikut ini: Apakah agama adalah penyebab tindakan kekerasan atau perang atas nama agama? Apakah agama bertanggung jawab atas berbagai tindakan kekerasan melalui pemberian legitimasi dan memfasilitasi terjadinya kekerasan? Apakah motif-motif ekonomi, sosial dan politik, yang sesungguhnya berada di balik berbagai tindakan kekerasan yang mengatas-namakan agama? Kajian ini dilakukan melalui tinjauan pustaka dengan mensintesakan beberapa pandangan yang berbeda dari sejumlah ahli dalam hal hubungan agama dan kekerasan. Hasilnya berupa pemikiran konseptual bahwa kekerasan atas nama agama dilatarbelakangi oleh motif kelompok berkuasa untuk mempertahankan kekuasan dengan kekerasan, motif kelompok tertindas untuk memperoleh kebebasan/kemerdekaan dengan jalan kekerasan, motif politisi mendulang keuntungan politis dengan melakukan pembiaran terjadinya kekerasan, dan motif pemimpin agama mendulang keuntungan politis dengan memberikan legitimasi kekerasan.

Abstract

Netnography is an interpretative approach to study consumer behavior from different cultures andcommunities in the cyberspace or Internet. The approach was also called as a “digital ethnography”or “virtual ethnography”. As a marketing research technique, “netnography” uses the informationsources published in the online forums. This research uses the reviews on zomato.com as a source ofdata to assess the market orientation development in business practice, especially at Restaurant X.The result of netnography analysis indicates that customer orientation, competitor orientation, interfunctionalcoordination and long-term focus are the dimensions of market orientation and should bedeveloped for customer satisfaction and loyalty leading forward to the business performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to examine whether transformational leadership and authentic leadership had a negative and significant effect on turnover intentions. This study also examined whether transformational leadership and authentic leadership had a positive and significant effect on affective commitment and subsequently whether affective commitment had a negative and significant effect on turnover intentions. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the employees of PT Dasa Anugerah Sejati, a company engaged in oil palm plantations in Jambi. This research uses SEM analysis technique method. The results of the study proved that all hypotheses are proven significant, but the effect of transformational leadership on turnover intentions is positive, and not negative. This is because the majority of respondents aged over 30 years and the majority of their educational background graduated from elementary school, so the transformational leadership style actually increases the turnover intentions, but authentic leadership will reduce turnover intentions.Keywords: Transformational leadership, authentic leadership, turnover intention, affective commitment. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan otentik berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap niat keluar karyawan. Penelitian ini juga menguji apakah kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan otentik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen afeksi dan selanjutnya apakah komitmen afeksi berpengaruh negatif dan signfikan terhadap niat kuluar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara membagikan kuesioner kepada para karyawan PT Dasa Anugerah Sejati, yaitu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang perkebunan kelapa sawit di Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode teknik analisis SEM. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa semua hipotesis terbukti signifikan, namun pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap niat keluar karyawan justru positif, bukan negatif. Hal ini disebabkan karena mayoritas responden berusia di atas 30 tahun dan mayoritas latar belakang pendidikan mereka lulus SD, sehingga gaya kepemimpinan transformasional justru meningkatkan niat karyawan untuk berhenti bekerja, namuan kepemimpinan otentik akan menurunkan keinginan mereka untuk berhenti kerja.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan transformasional, kepemimpinan otentik, niat keluar, komitmen afektif.

Abstract

This research aims, while exploring the mediating effect of job satisfaction and job performance,to know and explain how quality of work life influence the turnover intentions at the PT. Bina KaryaPrima. Research study samples include 103 of the PT. Bina Karya Prima employees. Data collecting usedquestionnaires, which were shared directly. Data was analysed using the Structural Equation Model(SEM) with PLS software. Research results show that: (1) job satisfaction has a negative and significantinfluence on the turnover intentions, (2) job performance has a negative and significant influence on theturnover intentions, (3) job satisfaction has not significant influence on the job performance, (4) qualityof work life has not a significant influence on the job satisfaction, and (5) quality of work life has apositive and significant influence on the job performance.Keywords: turnover intentions, quality of work life

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari tata kelola perusahaan yang baik ( GCG ), tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan ( TJSP ) terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahahaan dengan dimediasi manajemen laba yang menggunakan the modified jones model ( 1995 ) pada perusahaan-perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam indeks LQ45 tahun 2018. Permasalahan penelitian yang diajukan merujuk kepada beberapa penelitian terdahulu dan adanya research gap dari penelitan terdahulu. Tujuh hipotesis telah dirumuskan dan sebuah model telah dikembangkan untuk menjawab masalah penelitian ini. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan tahunan dan laporan keuangan perusahaan yang diterbitkan oleh Bursa Efek Indonesia dan website masing-masing perusahaan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dimana jumlah sampel yang diuji dalam penelitian sebanyak 26 perusahaan. Alat analisa yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) pada program SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja keuangan perusahaan yang diukur melalui return of asset dan tobins’Q dipengaruhi oleh tata kelola perusahaan yang baik dengan sifat korelasi positif.
