Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of disaster mitigation students worksheets through the role playing method to train disaster management as well as the validity and practicality of the worksheets. This research was conducted based on the ADDIE development model with class VII K students in the 2019/2020 school year SMPN 21 Surabaya as research subjects. The research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and expert validation methods. The results of the validation assessment found that LKPD of disaster mitigation through role playing methods to train disaster management get very valid results where the content suitability aspect gets a mode 4 value, the presentation suitability aspect gets a mode 4 value, the language suitability aspect gets a mode 3 value, and the suitability aspect the learning method gets mode value 4. The results of the practicality assessment are based on the percentage of learning accomplishments and students activity where at the first meeting the value is 92.8% and the second meeting is 96.8% also the students activitiy reaches an overall average of all phasesis 92,3%. So that the disaster mitigation LKPD through role playing methods to train disaster management is considered very practical for applied during learning.Keywords: validity, practicality, role playing

Abstract

This study aims to describe validity of Student Worksheets based on guided inquiry learning on vibration and wave material to train junior high school student’s critical thinking skills. This student worksheets was developed using ADDIE model. The results was obtained from validation by two science expert lecturer and a science teacher of junior high school which obtained mode score of 4 with valid criteria at all aspect i.e. Content suitability, presentment suitability, terms suitability, and student worksheets based on guided inquiry suitability. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that validity of student worksheets based on guided inquiry valid to train student critical thinking skills.Keywords : Student Worksheets, Guided Inquiry, and Critical Thinking Skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the preparation of assessment instruments of science teachers Banyuwangi District. This research is a descriptive research that describes the results quantitatively and supported explanation of the data that has been obtained. The results of the study indicate that the assessment instrument is valid and feasible to be used for assessment in the learning process of the mentioned KD. The conclusions of the assessment instrument developed from the four groups are all valid and worthy of use.This study aims to describe the results of the preparation of assessment instruments of science teachers Banyuwangi District. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the learning implementation of learning, improvement of critical thinking skills, and students’ response to the implementation of problem based learning model with socio-scientific issue on energy sources. This research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest design. The subject in this research were 30 students of VII C class in SMPN 42 Surabaya. Data were collected by observation, pretest and posttest, and questionnaires. The data was analyzed quantitatively. The research result showed that implementation of learning obtained high results with very good category in the first and second meeting. The critical thinking skills effectively improved with N-Gain score in medium category. The students gave a positive response and high interest in learning implementation. Based on the result, it can be concluded that implementation of problem based learning model with socio-scientific issue can improve students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the problem based learning implementation model toward students' critical thinking skills on the material of human digestive system. This research used pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest. The subjects’ in this research were 30 students’ of VIII C class in Junior High School Semen Gresik with 20 male students’ and 10 female students’. Data collection technique used questionnaires, pretest and posttest. The data was analyzed quantitatively. The results of the N-Gain calculation showed that the application of problem based learning model increased students' critical thinking skills on the human digestive system material with a high category. Descriptive analysis on learning activities by the given treatment had a high percentage result. The conclusion obtained was science learning using a problem based learning model on the human digestive system material can improve students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tantangan abad 21 menuntut siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sejak dini. Sekolah diharapkan mampu menghasilkan generasi yang memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreatif, inovatif, komunikatif, kolaboratif, kompetitif, dan berkarakter. Project Based Learning merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk melatihkan softskills, hardskills, dan karakter yang kuat dengan melakukan analisis dan melibatkan kemampuan kolaborasi dan komunikasi dalam waktu tertentu. Permasalahnnya adalah mitra, MGMP Guru IPA Kabupaten Magetan, belum terbiasa menyusun bahan ajar PjBL sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan sehingga mitra dapat meningkatkan keterampilannya dalam menyusun bahan ajar tersebut. Selain itu, bahan ajar PjBL yang tersedia tidak semua sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan dibagi menjadi empat tahap, yaitu persiapan, pemaparan materi, pelatihan dan pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari pelatihan dan pendampingan ini terlihat pada nilai pretest dan posttest yang mengalami peningkatan serta karya LKPD PjBL guru yang dapat digunakan di satuan Pendidikan masing-masing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggali manfaat kolaborasi antara siswa reguler dan anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) dalam pembelajaran IPA. Studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi siswa reguler dan ABK dapat meningkatkan sikap empati, pemahaman keberagaman, dan tanggung jawab siswa reguler, sementara ABK merasa diakui dan berkontribusi secara aktif. Kolaborasi dilakukan melalui tugas tim, pembelajaran berpasangan, dan proyek kolaboratif, yang membangun keterampilan sosial, tanggung jawab, dan kemampuan bekerja dalam tim. Kolaborasi ini juga mendorong lingkungan inklusif di mana semua siswa merasa dihargai. Dalam pencapaian tujuan bersama, siswa reguler dan ABK menghasilkan ide-ide baru dan solusi kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah ilmiah. Pentingnya peran guru yang mendukung dan lingkungan inklusif dalam memfasilitasi kolaborasi efektif antara siswa reguler dan ABK disoroti. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran IPA kolaboratif dapat menjadi wadah yang efektif untuk membangun tanggung jawab dan kerjasama antara siswa reguler dan ABK.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menyelidiki efektivitas pendekatan Problem-Based Learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP. Metode pembelajaran mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan pemahaman mendalam tentang konsep sains melalui pemecahan masalah nyata yang autentik. Penelitian dilakukan di sebuah SMP menggunakan satu kelas yang diberikan perlakuan. Model Problem-Based Learning diterapkan dengan menyajikan masalah yang relevan dengan konten sains yang dipelajari. Siswa diberi kesempatan untuk berkolaborasi, berdiskusi, dan mencari solusi kreatif melalui investigasi mandiri. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan proses sains sebelum dan setelah perlakuan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan proses sains siswa yang mengikuti pendekatan ini. Menghasilkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam memprediksi dan menganalisis data. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Problem-Based Learning efektif meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang aktif dan berpusat pada siswa, di mana siswa terlibat dalam pemecahan masalah kontekstual untuk mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif dan relevan dalam pendidikan sains di tingkat SMP.

Abstract

The inquiry learning model is a model that facilitates the construction of students' scientific knowledge which can also improve students' argumentation skills. According to several research results, inquiry-based learning has proven to be effective in improving scientific argumentation skills because in the learning process students are directed in investigative activities to find scientific evidence as a basis for scientific argumentation. By considering the student learning process, the aim of this research is to describe whether the use of three types of inquiry learning models can teach fluid material and influence the student learning process, one of which is students' argumentation abilities. This research method uses mixed method triangulation. The instruments used were interview questionnaires and argumentation tests. The data obtained was then analyzed using simple statistical tests and N-gain scores. Interview data was analyzed to find out clarification of students' answers. The research results of the inquiry learning model were successful in developing argumentation skills, namely the n-gain score resulted in the use of the structured inquiry learning model gaining 0.88, the guided inquiry learning model 0.84 and the open inquiry learning model 0.74.

Abstract

The implementation of STEAM-PjBL integration trains students to work together to build their own knowledge, construct ideas, critical thinking in analyzing problems, then try to solve them through a project. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of STEAM-PjBL integration to train the critical thinking skills of prospective science teachers through entrepreneurship courses. This research is a descriptive study with a one short case study design. The research subjects were students of Science Education Class of 2021. The instruments used were tests of critical thinking skills and questionnaires on student responses to learning. Test result were analyzed using N-gain and paired t test, the response questionnaire was analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills test scores, and positive responses with an average of >83.6%. Based on this, it can be concluded that STEAM-PjBL integration is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
