Abstract

Kapal perikanan merupakan salah satu unsur dalam menentukan keberhasilan operasi penangkapan ikan. Pembuatan kapal perikanan di Indonesia secara umum masih bersifat tradisional. Kayu digunakan sebagai material utama dan dibutuhkan ketersediaan kayu dalam jumlah yang besar. Saat ini, produksi kayu dari hutan di Indonesia semakin menurun sehingga menyebabkan kayu menjadi terbatas dan harganya tidak ekonomis, sehingga perlu adanya efisiensi penggunaan kayu. Tingkat efisiensi ini dilihat dari tingkat pemanfaatan material kayu pada pembuatan konstruksi kapal. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan dengan alasan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi serta keefektifan pembangunan kapal kayu di Indonesia terutama pada penggunaan material kapal, salah satunya adalah gading-gading. Pemilihan gading-gading sebagai fokus bahasan pada penelitian ini dikarenakan gading-gading merupakan salah satu konstruksi utama kapal yang berfungsi sebagai rangka kapal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survey, yaitu galangan kapal rakyat UD. Semangat Untung di Desa Tanah Beru, Bulukumba, Sulawesi Selatan. Objek penelitian ini adalah kapal perikanan yang memiliki 29 gading-gading dengan tipe U bottom, round bottom, dan V bottom. Analisis data dilakukan dengan membandingkan volume kayu terpakai dengan volume kayu awal serta mengelompokkan gading-gading berdasarkan tipenya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemanfaatan kayu untuk pembuatan gading-gading mencapai 85,53%. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kayu untuk gading-gading cukup efektif.

Abstract

Muara Angke fishing port is one of fishing ports in DKI Jakarta which is dominated by small fishing vessels (less than 30 GT). In order to ensure safety at sea, those vessels require maintenance periodically. Consequently, shipyard which is located close to the port is the important industry to meet the demand of fishing vessels maintenance. Indirectly, shipyard’s adopted technology influence the quality of maintenance. The technology level assessments conducted by Fauzan et al. (2009) and Natapraja (2010) in two shipyards showed the technology contributions in those shipyards were classified at normal contribution and semi modern level with slight difference in TCC (0.447 compare to 0.415). Based on their results, the smaller shipyard had a bigger TCC than the larger one. Therefore, in this research, there will be analysed the causal factors of the differences. This is a descriptive comparative research and as the main object of research is the technology level assessment from two shipyards. The result showed the factors affecting the assessment were shipyard conditions, resource person’s reliability and different assessors’ perception. Moreover, it was noticeable that computerize gave a significant effect on shipyard’s technology level. Good knowledge in assessment’s criteria, either qualitative or quantitative may determine the accuracy of assessment’s result.

Abstract

Fishing vessel regeneration was barrier by high cost and late delivery. In the mean time, procurement activity influence production cost and on time delivery. Therefore efficiency in material supply chain keep cost and accelerate ship production. One of supply chain performance indicator is delivery performance. This capability depend on shipyard supply chain management in the procurement activity. Purpose of this research is analyze of material supply chain management. General problem of supply chain management is long lead time and material delay. Fluctuation material lead time depend on material specification, buying mechanism, manufacture lead time, supplier location, transportation, finance condition, and delay situation. Delay can happen because mistake of shipyard, supplier, forwarder, customs, and transportation service. The reduction of material lead time can be obtained through direct buying mechanism, using local component, and credit guarantee from national banking. Whereas, delivery delay can be anticipated through earlier purchasing, cooperation with national banking and internal integration of design, procurement and production activity.

Abstract

This article determines about technology level Dok Pembinaan Unit Pelaksana Teknis Balai Teknologi Penangkapan Ikan (UPT BTPI) Muara Angke, Jakarta.  Assessment of technology level is conducted by using model technometric to calculate TCC (technology contribution coefficient) value from technology component, consist of: technoware (hardware), humanware (human resources), inforware (information component), and orgaware (organization component). Value of component contribution orgaware haves contribution is lower value as 0.347, whereas component humanware haves highest contribution as 0.600.  TCC value from Dok Pembinaan UPT BTPI Mua-ra Angke as 0.447 indicate that technology in that shipyard has been fair and can be told that level of shipyard technology is semi modern.Key word: shipyard, technology, technometric model
