Abstract

Measurement of Body Composition (BC) is carried out for various purposes, such as uniting the growth and development of athletes and determining motor performance, physical activity, changes in body composition, as well as nutritional interventions. This study aimed to determine the relationship between Body Composition (BC) and anaerobic ability of female futsal players aged 17-19 years. Twenty female futsal players participated in this study. Muscle mass, Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat Percentage, Water Percentage, Protein Percentage, Basal Metabolism, Visceral Fat, and Bone Mass were measured to determine the fat percentage of bone, air, and muscle in the body. Measurement of body composition was also intended to detect the food intake needed by the body and obtain information relevant to disease prevention and treatment. The Running Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST) was conducted to measure the anaerobic endurance. The research method used was a descriptive correlation with a quantitative approach. The finding showed no correlation between Running Based Anaerobic Sprint and Body Fat Percentage, Water Percentage, Protein Percentage, Basal Metabolism, and Visceral Fat. However, there was a positive relationship between Muscle Mass, Body Mass Index (BMI), Bone Mass of the samples, and their Running Based Anaerobic Sprint (p0.05). It concludes that the score of Muscle mass, Body Mass Index (BMI), and Bone Mass affected the anaerobic capacity of female futsal players aged 17-19 years. The normal status of body composition and body fat percentage can be maintained through maintaining consumption patterns and increasing physical activity.

Abstract

The ability to solve problems (Problem Solving) on students is often a crucial thing in learning, to re-hone the ability of Problem Solving should a teacher must be clever in using the appropriate learning models and media. The application of the cooperative learning model is a model that emphasizes student-centered learning, the cooperative learning model will place students in situations that they have to work together to think critically in any given problem. Physical education certainly will not be separated from the material to be taught, futsal game learning material is one of thematerial that is quite systematic in supporting cooperative learning model in making learning for making effective. The application of cooperative learning model in futsal game learning can be used to lead to systematic problem situations to see the problem solving ability (Problem Solving) by researching through literature studies from journal sources found from international and national journal sites, after finding journals that are cover and relevant with the author's research, then a matrix is made which includes the name and year of the author, the results of the study, and important results that can be used by the author. After that, the results of the literature study will be analyzed by the author and adjusted to the indicators that exist in the ability of Problem Solving

Abstract

Introduction: Blind students need special services to learn skills that peers usually know; these services include skills in academic matters, orientation and mobility, socio-emotional development, independent living, recreation, career education, sensory efficiency, self-determination, and assistive technology, how important physical education teachers need the assistive technology training needs to get attention. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether assistive technology training in physical education for physical education teachers in Bandung is necessary or not. Methods: The study used a survey method using a questionnaire. This research is quantitative descriptive—the sampling technique used cluster random sampling technique. The research sample is all physical education teachers who are in the Bandung City environment totaling 100 teachers. The instrument used in this research is a simple questionnaire consisting of five survey questions. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive statistics. Results: This study showed that 66% knew assistive technology, 25% said that assistive technology had been applied to physical education learning in schools in Bandung City, 18% said they had attended assistive technology training, 98% of physical education teachers could understand assistive technology after attending this training, and 98% of physical education teachers can add insight related to the implementation of assistive technology in physical education in the city of Bandung. Conclusions: The use of assistive technology in physical education learning can support learning to be more effective, and the creativity of physical education teachers is needed when making effective and efficient assistive technology. Therefore, massive assistive technology training is required for physical education teachers.

Abstract

Abstract

Intrinsic motivation, which is the inner drive that motivates individuals to engage in various activities across different domains, plays a crucial role in shaping performance, especially in sports like softball. This study explores the complex interplay between gender, intrinsic motivation, and softball skills among university students. Using quantitative research methods and an ex-post facto design, this research provides valuable insights into the comparison of intrinsic motivation (interest, enjoyment, and personal challenge) and softball skills based on gender. The results reveal significant gender-based disparities in softball skills, highlighting the need for tailored interventions to promote gender equality in sports. Interestingly, despite differences in skills, the levels of intrinsic motivation encompassing interest, enjoyment, and personal challenge remain consistent across genders, emphasizing the universal appeal of intrinsic motivation in sports. Additionally, the study employed two distinct instruments: the Sport Motivation Scale (SMS) to assess intrinsic motivation and the O'Donnell Softball Test to measure softball skills. This research underscores the potential of sports programs to leverage these shared motivational factors to improve performance and engagement. It offers valuable insights into the diverse world of sports participation, providing a promising path for more inclusive and effective sports programs in the university environment, with a focus on promoting equality and excellence in sports participation.
