Abstract

ABSTRACT Multiculturalism is a tool, and method, vehicle or the equivalent notion of ideology, function to enhance human dignity and self resilience. Since multiculturalism is a tool then the sense of culture or ideology embodied in the term multiculturalism should be viewed from the perspective of function for human life. Multiculturalism has always built based on the philosophical outlook of a nation on the meaning of life and life, and relationships with environment as well as the creator. Then every nation in giving practical meaning of multiculturalism will be colored by its philosophical outlook. The multicultural education paradigm led to the creation of attitudes of learners who want to appreciate, respect for ethnic, religious and cultural society. Then, too, multicultural education to give awareness to students that differences in ethnicity, religion and culture as well as the other does not become a barrier for students to unite and cooperate. Thus, Pancasila as an ideology of education is needed, especially considering the posture of Indonesia in the form of an archipelago, and pluralistic world is at a cross position. Abstract

An ethical life in the perspective of Taoism is a life back to nature. Man must be able to understand how to relate to ethical meaning of the laws of nature and implement them in social relationship. This natural ethics of Taoism teaches that life must be equipped by virtue, which is a pure heart, sincerety, and willingness to care for the needs of fellow human beings. Taoist law of virtue contains universal values, thus make it important as an ethical consideration for Indonesian society which is experiencing a turbulent moral situation where morality is under-appreciated and a transitional political culture from the era of power-oriented bureaucracy to an era of democratic society advocating people’s sovereignty.   Keywords: taoism, natural ethics.

Abstract

The people of Indonesia are currently entering a period of transition. The transition is when democratic civil society creates opportunities for freedom, openness, and a broader political space of participation from people without exception. Civil society mobility affects the need for law enforcement and respect for moral values. The study of Taoist ethics becomes essential to explore an ethical way of life according to the laws of nature. The way the analysis uses: descriptions of hermeneutics, heuristics and synthesis. To achieve the first research objective using the hermeneutic description method, to reveal the fundamental meaning that gives importance to the ethical teachings of Taoism. The second research objective uses a heuristic approach, a step of finding ways to solve problems scientifically. The road to science, through an explorative understanding of the meaning of concepts or texts, to derive the fundamental problem specifications that arise in the empowerment of democratic civil society in Indonesia. To achieve the third research objective, using the synthesis approach, which is combined exclusively by drawing a node of logical and contextual relevance. The results show that the universal ethical values in Taoist natural ethics such as simplicity, honesty, discipline, compassion, obedience, sincerity, justice, have significance and relevance to the basic issue of plurality of civil society's life to democratic society in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pancasila state ideology and basic ontological value systems is a manifestation of people's lives Indonesian nation as the truth, be a way of life since the beginning of the history of the birth of the nation, so that they can survive up to now as a unifying and country basis. Epistemologically formation of ideology and the basic state through the political process and national spirit of our founding fathers. In axiologis, Pancasila state ideology and basic occupies imperative function as the norm and the direction of the destination society, nation and state.

Abstract

Ethical life according to Taoism means a way of life back to nature. Man must be able to interpret the laws of nature in an ethical perspective, and practice in the life of others. Taoism teaches life ethics need to be equipped virtue, which has a purity of heart that is sacred, or the sincerity and willingness to live for others. Taoist virtues law contains universal values, relevant for the people of Indonesia who are experiencing erosion and weakening of the appreciation of moral values. In addition, the transition period of political culture, especially from the time period of bureaucratic power to a democratic system of popular sovereignty towards civil society. Universal values of natural ethics Taoism in line with the ethical teachings of Pancasila.

Abstract

The scientific development nowadays are very quickly. On the other hand, every nation on the world have been protected his ideology. These both have an exsistence characteristics, and on their historical development are always contradiction. The scientific sociological approach as one alternative solution to compromise these contradiction, these both can do the social demand supporting.Science must develop social aspects, and ideology must be open to the possibility of criticism. Pancasila as ideology provides a framework of the value of scientific ethics in the development of science.

Abstract

This study examines the problem of cultural patterns of character formation in the education system in Japan. How do cultural patterns that are practiced in the education system in Japan so as to provide access for the people to be able to manage the basic values of life that are considered noble as a guide and source of orientation for the character formation of students. The interesting here is that the Japanese nation in its acculturation process can harmonize modern values with traditional values that have been believed to be the noble values of the nation.There is a paradoxical cultural pattern, but it can synthesize the process of modernization of life on the basis of the value of conventional Japanese traditions. For other nations such as Indonesia, which are allied to Asian countries, they can view them as unique national cultural events. This study aims to uncover cultural practices and schooling in the education system in Japan that can synthesize modern values with the value of the traditions of the people, so that the Japanese become a developed nation and have strong character. This study uses historical factual methods, and qualitative descriptive analysis. That is, reviewing the facts of the development of the school program and its habituation in the practice of the family life of the students. Then analyze the structure and cultural values contained in each education program and the level of social life in Japanese society. The results of the study show that the education system in Japan prioritizes and respects adab and good behavior rather than values. Focusing on teaching adab to children in the lower classes is more important than testing academic skills. The basis of his view, that at the elementary school level, especially the first three years is not to assess knowledge but to build good behavior. Japanese students only get an exam after stepping on the fourth grade, even though they are only mild tests.

Abstract

This study focuses on examining how Japanese work culture patterns respect processes, not just the results of their work. The aim is to uncover the principles and evidence that underlie the pattern of Japanese work culture that always respects the process and not only the results. This study uses philosophical methods, which are essential, comprehensive and normative analysis of the facts of life to try to unravel and explore the principles of existence of life, namely the ontological, epistemological and axiological principles. The ontological principle, describes the Japanese footing in conceptualizing the meaning, nature of life and life in the midst of the world's environment. The principle of epistemology describes the way the Japanese realize the concept of meaning and meaning of life in their world. The axiological principle describes the values that make the direction or purpose of life. The existence of the three principles of existence is interspersed and systemic. The research results formulated that ontologically, the Japanese in conceptualizing the meaning and meaning of their lives rely on Bushido's moral values (integrity, courage, generosity, respect for others, honesty and sincerity). Epistemologically, Japanese lifestyles describe ways of finding Ikigai in him. Axiologically, the goal of Japanese life is "Ikigai" which is the values of happiness, something that makes people move forward into the future. As a conclusion of the study, that the character of Japanese people who always respect the process, and not only the results is an epistemological pattern of life-based on Bushido values, to build an axiological framework containing Ikigai.
