Abstract

Communication ethics is still a problem in the public domain, especially on social media. There were several viral cases on the internet due to ethical issues in communicating on social media lately. The bias of social media space as private space which is consumed publicly has caused ethical problems in the field of communication. This ethical problem needs to be overcome by educating society about communication ethics in the public sphere, especially on social media. This study aims to describe the concept of empan papan as one of the key concepts in Javanese communication ethics. Based on literature studies combined with hermeneutic analysis, the results show that empan papan can be an alternative communication ethics in the era of information technology. Empan papan is the concept of Javanese situational communication ethics which emphasizes communication on five principles, namely the principle of self-placement, the principle of truth, the principle of accuracy, the principle of situation, and the principle of conditions. This study recommends the need to educate society about the use of communication ethics on board leaders in social media.

Abstract

A harmonious community life will bring a positive logical consequence for national development. The harmony society is determined by the relationship between individuals of one with the other individual. A sense of belonging, mutual respect, and respect is an important factor for the creation of a harmonious community life. Such values that should be fundamental in any behavior in daily life began to be abandoned. Evolution according to Teilhard de Chardin at the fact is that the motion is continuously development from simple led to the perfection. Humans will continue to evolve toward perfection, i.e. Point Omega. The Omega point is God. God is the Alpha and Omega.  Perfection will be achieved through personalized with love in the presence of inverting.  Chastity value in theory of human evolution according to Chardin will base the vital value. Love is the energy that will be capable of carrying a human on personalized, therefore love must be present in every activity of individuals as members of a family in Indonesia so that it will reach the personalization that will bring a logical consequence in harmony and happiness.

Abstract

Abstract

A global era whose existence cannot be denied brings logical consequences on every line of human life. Therefore, Javanese culture which has fundamental values is very relevant to study its relation to this global era. This research is a study in the field of philosophy related to Javanese cultural values. The method used by researchers is description and interpretation. One of the Javanese culture is the attitude of the Javanese people, namely the attitude of rila (sincere), temen (keep promises), watak (patience), and budi luhur  (noble virtue) has a fundamental value meaning. These values becomes a parameter of one’s quality. The quality of one’s goodness can be measured by his practice of these values. These fundamental values are important to be realized in family life in this global era.

Abstract

A harmonious life is as expected by every member of the community. This study aims to find ethical values in the relations of social individuals in the Philosophy of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin which can be used as an alternative to the development of a sense of solidarity and ownership among individuals. This research is a qualitative research with the material object is the relation of social individuals in the philosophy of Teilhard de Chardin, while the formal object is an ethical value. The method used in this research is the synthesis analysis method with methodical interpretation. The formulation of the results in this study is that individuals really need the existence of others. Individuals must build relationships with others by giving and receiving, mutual respect, tolerance, and mutual respect. Individuals can find their identity when they are able to build relationships with other individuals. This relationship must be filled with love so that it will bring each individual to perfection. This point is optimistic that can be achieved by each individual. Human values are reflected in the attitude of each individual in his relationship with others in love.

Abstract

Bushido as a moral teaching contains the principles of virtue to form the soul of a knight. A typical Japanese knight is a Samurai. The moral teaching is inherited verbally from generation to generation until now. Japanese people practice these teachings seriously into everyday life. They live every principle with full sincerity, honesty, and wholeheartedly to form a patriotic soul. The principles of teaching are formulated in writing into seven principles that are inseparable from one another. Because every principle underlies and animates other principles. A Samurai cannot abandon one principle of teaching because if he abandons one principle the quality of a samurai will disappear so that he does not have a patriotic soul. Therefore, Bushido is able to form a patriot who is always superior.

Abstract

(Title: Value Of Sportivity In The Development Of Japanese Community Culture) This research is related to the development of Japanese culture. As a result, the pupose of this research is to describe the development of Japanese culture from time to time and then interpret the value of sportsmanship in the development of culture. This research is a qualitative study of philosophy. The formal object in this study is the philosophy of value, while the material object is Japanese culture. The method used is descriptions and interpretation.The results of this study are described as follows: The development of Japanese culture is formed through interaction with other nation. Japan was originally a nation that closed itself outside cultural intervention, but then the government opened itself up after realizing that there are still many left behind from other nations. Then the policy was changed by opening up to study in more development countries. The value of sportsmanship shown by Japanese people with an open mind and recognizing the superiorityof other nations and applying them in Japan according to their condition and needs. The sportsmanship of the Japanese people was able to accelerate the nation’s progress and proved that Japan was superior in various fields.

Abstract

Japan is a developed country that still upholds fundamental values which are then used as a basis for attitude and daily behavior. This research aims to examine the self-concept in responding to the Japanese revolution. This research is qualitative in philosophy. The method used is description and interpretation. The right self-concept becomes the main capital to be able to identify various national problems. The concept of self is something important in responding to the revolution of society in Japan. This appears in an open attitude to accept the reality of himself and other nations so that they are willing to learn in total to other more advanced nations. The result is that Japanese society has risen faster in its self-confidence and can catch up, moving ahead of developing more modern western nations. All this happened because all the officials until the people have a national commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate ethical values in the Japanese kinship system. This ethical value is reflected in the Japanese family spirit. This research is a qualitative research in philosophy. The material object is the Japanese kinship system, while the formal object is an ethical value. The method used in this research is description and interpretation. The results achieved were formulated as follows: the kinship system of Ie became a model of preserving traditional values inherited from ancestors. These values are universal, namely the sense of kinship in which there is a sense of love, belonging and pride. Kachou as a role model is central in preserving this value. These values can also be transferred into modern management by reinterpretation according to place and time.
